    Hi Mark, thanks for the awesome video. We love your attention to detail. We are glad you like it.
    Yes, the product name ZNAP was inspired by the Snap sounds when you insert the cards 😉.
    A few notes: The cash compartment does not have (and need) an RFID blocking lining. The aluminum frame itself blocks RFID signals from several sides.
    The leather is actually full-grain leather not just genuine leather (we made a translation mistake).
    To further celebrate the US launch, we will offer a limited 15% discount for a short period of time.

    I think all other wallets with this type of design "neglect" the way to carry cash, this wallet solve that issue.

    Holy, that took quite a while :-) I remember asking for a review on your channel ages ago.
    To the wallet: Like I mentioned back then, with bank cards and especially the ID being a readable RFID Tag, in Germany I'm glad to see, that they 'protect' the customers this way. I know what most of you think about it, but in this case it really doesn't hurt the design, the looks or the functions at all.
    For me the RFID security card in the front is more like a visual privacy screen. When I have my wallet lying on a table I don't need everyone to see who I am, what my bank is and so on.
    I still love the design, I'm using mine for about 8 months now every day and it still looks awesome. I have the version made out of this cork leather because it's vegan friendly and looks and feels just amazing! It's the first time I've seen this material on my own and I love it. The black coating of the card housing itself is still in perfect condition (which is rare for me, I tend not to be very gentle especially with my edc). The sewing is still perfect without a single stitch gone bad.
    The only thing is that the snap lock button has worn off it's thick black coating and it looked a bit shabby for a while. Now that it has completely worn off it looks very nice again, having a black colour with a brass colour coming through.
    What can I say, I love this wallet. And no, I don't get payed for this even if I'm from Germany ;-) I have the 12 card version and I use it with the coin tray and it is just superb. It looks really cool, works perfectly fine for me, the cards still lock in place and I would buy it again any time.

    Mark : I have a suggestion for a use for the coin tray. Receipts. You won't have to put them in the billfold section and this separates the receipts from the cards. I've been trying to find a wallet that can both be an EDC, plus when traveling, reduces the number of cards you need to take without them clinking around in the wallet even if they don't come out, plus having easy access to notes. The coin tray eats space so that you can carry 4 cards snugly, use the tray for miscellaneous receipts, which when traveling is probably more necessary if you are going to keep track of your expenses. I'm down to a few choices, this Slimpuro 8 card version, the Distil-Union Wally 5.0 and The Wallet by Tom Farrah. I already have an XSTO thanks to your review and I love it except it isn't quite as user friendly when it comes to bills. The other three don't require folding bills up and inserting them behind the cards. You said it yourself, not having to fold bills is a big plus for this type of wallet which most resembles the XSTO. But the Farrah wallet is just a piece of functional art, gorgeous. Clearly the aesthetic winner of all these choices. The Slimpuro and the Distil Union Wally 5.0 are just so innovative its hard not to want them both. Difficult to decide. Suggestions?

  • @obsidiansands
    @obsidiansands 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I love this design, though the coin tray is definitely optional in my opinion. I actually went out and got it because my OG STOW is insufficient to carry more cash sometimes - so this is the best of both worlds! I wanted to get the newer XSTO but the price already went into the "I cannot afford it" territory - especially since they divided the standard setup that originally came with the OG Stow and made them accessories just to make more money.
    .
    Maybe it's me, but this practically feels more like a 40 than a 39 score, though I can't wait to hear your revised score later after you take that thing out for a test drive to see if it changed. I have to say I am absolutely SHOCKED at a perfect score in the "features" category, you rarely give those out - it's a very nice surprise. The price is the best thing about it for me though, especially since it comes with options like the shield card and the coin tray that other wallets in the minimalist category sells as separate accessories to bloat up the price. I got the 12-card capacity one and have been using it now as a daily driver. Thanks again for the awesome review!

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great insight, thank you and yes, this wallet does start to tick all the boxes. The coin tray is a nice add, but not very practical. With their optional coin pouch that slides in a like a card, this is almost pushing perfect, but with just for cards and cash it's really good. I am carrying it now in a test and really enjoy it.

    Very nice wallet, and I love the billfold design, but it doesn't work for me unless they make this one modification - convert the relatively useless included coin tray into a tray for carrying thinner and/or less frequently used cards. For all the coins the tray can hold, you could easily keep them in your pocket or store them in the billfold section, or purchase the optional pouch. I think including the tray I suggest would be far more useable to more people. One of the things I love about my Akeeni XSTO is that slot in the back for storing the types of cards I mention, and it's where I keep my insurance cards, auto club card, and AMC movie pass. I realize I can store such cards in the billfold section of the slimpuro, but that's a sloppy fix. A dedicated tray that stores with the other cards would be more elegant, and the lack of such is keeping me from buying this one for my son over the XSTO. Thanks for doing the review.

    I want the open version as it is more comfortable conviniant and easier for me personally to handle the bills that way not having to wrestle the bils with the wallet(or the other way around). I"d buy this wallet in a znap if I only could get my hands on the open version and (if humanly possible at all) that the walet would have the same( or strikingly simular) handling system for the cards as the Vext or even Xtow has. But it doesn"t so I'll just be without it. Greetings from a wallet hunter.

    When I first saw it, I thought the billfold might add too much bulk to the wallet and .8 inch is probably a little thicker than I would normally like as it would then get even larger with cash added. So I saw another review of this wallet on another channel and they said the material was genuine leather. The description on Amazon says genuine leather as well. Wallet does look interesting, I think it would be nicer if you could slide the cards out either side. Did you find it reasonably easy to sort through your cards? It looks like it would be harder to get a card out of the middle.

      Hi Mike, thanks for your comment. The leather used in the ZNAP is high-quality cow leather. Our leather supplier also supplies larger luxury brands. The brown vintage leather in the video is pull-up leather and will create a really nice patina after some time. The ZNAP button is made from PRYM, which is one world's leading push-button manufacturers. The RFID card is only necessary if you want RFID protection from all sides. 4 sides are already RFID protected and if you place the wallet cards-face-down in your front pocket, you won't need the RFID card.

    VERY VERY LOW QUALITY PRODUCT
    Stay away from this product. I have bought it and after one month it is already broken (normal usage). Customer service is terrible, they promise that they will send a new one free of charge but nothing happens.
    Look for better alternatives, this one is not worth your money!
