This is a really great review man! Really appreciate the honest testing and recommendations about how many cards you should fit. That definitely does seem a little odd that the wallet doesn’t have any type of closure to prevent it from flopping open, but from what I’ve seen, this still is probably my favorite variety of these types of wallets overall. Good stuff man!
Ahhh really appreciate that brother, I'm glad the video was helpful to you ! Yea honestly , if there's one main knock it's the placement on the cash band which keeps the wallet from staying closed properly. Otherwise a really solid pop up wallet. Again, appreciate the love and thanks for stopping by to leave a comment!
I've had two Ekster wallets. The card release mechanism broke on both of them after just over a year of use. Now, this is when they first started producing wallets so maybe their quality has improved, but it's hard for me to go back and spend that kind of money on them again.
Gahh sorry to hear that Brandon. This is their 3rd iteration I believe so all the quality and materials have for sure been improved. But I can understand your hesitation on getting another one after such a bad exp. I can send you one of my mannny pop up wallets for free if you like, a little holiday gesture. Not sure what shipping would be but email me (my emails on my about page on TH-cam). Take a look at one of my pop up wallet videos. Pick one and it yours.
Exactly I think the ekster is too expensive even if it has the cool button, especially since I heard that the button does break easily and wear down depending on how much you use it or if it falls on the ground. Also idk how reliable the reviews are on the site since you can make one easily even without purchase, very easy to review 5 star bomb yikes.
Hi @Jazz_Cat I don't know if the company/brand "Secrid" still exist, but I bought a wallet of theirs, it has the popup and mine still works after years. The leather is still in good shape after that many uses, scratches and friction from pockets. Looking at Ekster their wallet is basically just the same (well they have it in metal instead). I thought that this was something "new" but just basically the same gimmick 😅
Seems to be the norm with all of these. My last wallet was a $25 trigger wallet and the mechanism just started jamming up.. and I work a job that gets my wallet full of grit. I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did for a $20’amazon special as the one I purchased before that had a bad trigger at 11.5 months. I went with the $20 fidelo because they advertised a life time warranty however I’ve been writing them for 2 weeks and haven’t gotten a response so here I am buying a new one. Hope this one does better.

Thanks for the honest review. It talked me out of buying this type of wallet because I have only raised letter cards and will have too much to fit all of them. You saved me >$100 Canadian! Thank you,
My pleasure!! That’s what I try to do, just be our front and honest. If you have 100 bucks to spend take a look at Secrid or Akeeni Xstoe. I have some videos up featuring them and I always highly recommend them if you’re looking for the compact card holder type wallet (: Either way, good luck on your wallet journey my friend!
i picked one up the edge was a bit loose around the band so they are sending me another along with a cash clip. i keep the money in the flaps back pocket makes it set more flush. i save the band for any extra cards or slips i may get
Those 2 inner pockets seem completely useless, the tops of the cards (sticking out) are being stressed against the wallet when you try and close it, which means it will bend those edges fairly quickly when it's banging around a pocket or purse/bag and eventually start falling off/cracking. If it's the magnetic strip side, that card is a goner.
Great review man, thanks. they should add more space for better closing with more cards in side pockets and clip to close it Good that I saw this before buying. I like paper cash and this wallet lacks in that field as it cant close it self fully, sucks
4+4+6=10? Good review, but 14 max vs the recommended 9 seems like a pretty good value or a very conservative recommendation, so that the leather doesn't stretch too much.
After about a year, my parliament wallet stop holding cards. They just fall out when the wallet is upside down. It sucks. It was good while it lasted though.
I loved it at first until my cards started falling out very easily (not from shaking or holding upside down; they would just slip out). Ended up getting a slim bifold from Bellroy that holds more cards, more securely, while remaining very slim.
It seems like the senate is a better option if you can limit the amount of cards you carry to 6 or 7. With the outside pocket and cash band you don’t have to worry about the wallet not being able to close.

Just get one with a clip doesn't need to be pop up like this one. I have one and it's holding up really well it's super small nothing like my last wallet that was super thick with a whole bunch of useless crap in it. Something like the ridge is super nice but get it with a clip for the cash especially if you plan on carrying a lot of cash with you.

I don't think a magnet would be strong enough to work. Eventually, as others have said, the leather will stretch over time just like a regular wallet would.
Did you have problems with cards just falling out of the RFID box? Holding wallet upside down mine just fall out. Especially if I give it a gentle shake
Great review. Just got this wallet. I don't plan yo use the cash strap(probably at all), but rather folding cash and putting it in the back pocket. 6 cards in the mechanism and 2 cards each inside pocket. Overall its definitely a solid wallet
Awesome ! If you have no need for cash this wallet will be more than serviceable - honestly that was my biggest gripe. So I think you will enjoy it just fine (: Appreciate you taking a moment to share. Be well brother!
This wallet also sounds up my alley, I use Google pay for just about all my transactions and only carry cards for a backup. I don't usually have cash on hand and I probably wouldn't have to use the wallet too often so I won't have to worry about the mechanism failing. The card fanning feature makes it fast to get the card I'll need if tap isn't supported and makes confrontations less awkward and time consuming. Looking forward to using this wallet in my routine where my current wallet is a Billetus Maxx and can be quite hard and awkward to get cards out of.
All that money - for what? It doesn't hold much cash, it doesn't hold many cards, so is it just for the flash pop-up mechanism? Because it's SO difficult to get cards out of a normal wallet?? They see mugs, they see easy money - they see you...
I just got my Senate today and I like slimming down on the amount of cards I carry. I placed the card I used the most to be the one that pops out at the back/top. Easier to grab vice pulling them all out. I'm not sure how I feel about the tracker, it's thicker than I thought it would be, and not sure I want to always have my Bluetooth enabled. All in all, good wallet so far. Super minimal, to the point I can't find it in my pocket lol
Hey Kevin! Really glad you’re liking it so far! I agree with the tracker aspect, especially now a days since Samsung tags and air tags (they take up so much less space). Though not my favorite of the pop up wallets, I’m with you - I think overall it’s a really solid offering. Slim, and great carrying capacity. Appreciate you stopping through to share and comment brother! Be safe and well out there.
It’s basically when the numbers or letters are raised up on a card. So it makes the card a bit thicker than ones that are just flush/flat printed with ink.
This is a gift you see on a list for, "great gifts for men." On some website. But honestly, it's one of those things that's really just a gimmick no guy actually wants as a gift lol.

Late response, but I saw another video of a guy shaking it to test and nothing fell out.
may i know what is embossed and non embossed?
Very nice review. Thank you.
My pleasure! Very happy that the review was helpful to you
Very good review. Thanks
Great Review, but you've got to work on your audio game 😄
Appreciate it my friend! Haha, yea, I was using Adobe and all my audio went mono on one side :/ But later videos fix it!
Great Review
Glad you found it helpful brother. Appreciate ya stopping through !
The ejection mechanism breaks after two years of use. Not worth it to spend $80 every two years.
Huh, this one might actually hold a condom. Good stuff.
LOL
@@Joshua88Graham ...I'm being serious. It's something most wallet makers overlook.
I keep hearing complaints about the push mechanism breaking. Does anyone here have any problems with the mechanism?
I would never pay more than $20 for this, great job in the review
I don’t think I could get used to putting my wallet in my front pocket. Only gripe with these wallets. I’d end up sittin on it and breaking it
All that money - for what?
Title is misleading. You insinuate that you've had this wallet for 5 years.
Heyyy... Is that wallet really 5 years old?
😂
If you would hold it still we could actually see it.
I feel these are juz money traps end of day cause it will still break and they make new versions of it
Seems pointless if you want carry cash. Ill srick with my Fantom
Yep! I think that’s the better choice brother
If the mechanism isn’t metallic I don’t see the point
Thanks to this review, I won’t be buying this
Glad you found the review helpful my friend (:
4 4 and 6 equals 10 huh
44 and 6 equals 50 Aaron.

I like the idea of this, but it’s not a smaller wallet, seems just as thick as my current bifold
Sound in the vid is def cheap
I don't got 6 cards xD
What is an embossed card??
It’s basically when the numbers or letters are raised up on a card. So it makes the card a bit thicker than ones that are just flush/flat printed with ink.
@@Joshua88Graham 👍
I think that they are overpriced. A much better alternative is Pularys.

This is a gift you see on a list for, "great gifts for men." On some website. But honestly, it's one of those things that's really just a gimmick no guy actually wants as a gift lol.
No thanks on the Ekster wallet 👍🏽 but appreciate the review.

My dude, put a velcro strap around the wallet and you good. Relax and get creative. 🙄
I’ll be sure to apply your astute engineering advice to all the items in my life that aren’t constructed in convenient ways. Do you use Velcro on more things than just your shoes?
They should make a version with the cash strap on the outside.
Check out the Ekster Senate
This wallet is just a high praise gimmick. It have no real world applications. All you cash is expose and can't hold any coins.
We don't have coins where we live, in the 21st century :)

You've had the Parliament wallet for 5 years?
Oh wait, you're an affiliate marketer who lies for a living and creates misleading headlines for views. Got it
The parliment has been around for 5 years. Hence five years later. You can infer what you like but nowhere did I say i owned the wallet for 5 years. No need to be detective downer. I made an honest and helpful video with no bias.
