I remember being pretty skeptical when they promoted this movie. It would be so easy to make this a cringy, bad movie. Normally I wouldn't care, but I enjoy Ryan Renolds quite a lot and felt a bit worried. But they managed to pull it off, which is honestly quite impressive. It's worth the one-time watch and will give you enjoyment with a satisfying ending.

So shutting down the servers and resetting everything is in a way kind of like a genocide, wiping out an entirely new form of life. Also, that could explain why the grandparents and everyone are watching the livestream. Because the first sentient AI was discovered and is fighting for its survival. That would be a pretty monumental cultural event, not just a regular video game live stream.

The films that I'm talking about are Wait Until Dark (1967), The Nanny (1965), and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane (1962). They are more like suspense thrillers and will have you on the edge of your seat. If you watch Wait Until Dark, that's a movie that should be watched with the lights off.
