2. *Force Restart Your iPhone:* For iPhone X and later models:
- Press Volume Up, then Volume Down quickly.

uhm hello i really hope you see this. my phone's screen is black but i know for a fact that the touch works like for example by memory i can open the flash light. i have an iphone x. is there any way to fix it? it fell from my hand earlier and the screen was a bit wierd but it worked. then i put it down gently and when i put it down the screen turned black. i tried to force restart it and stuff but it didnt work. is there a chance that its a problem with wires or something i honestly dont know and may sound like an idiot. if you see this im sorry to bother and beg but if you knew what this issue is i would love for you to tell me how to fix it if it can be fixed

For real. I shut down my phone. The next morning I tried to power it on and just got a black scrren.
Second one is a life saver ... screen blacked out at 21Pm but could still sence its on , tried everything to sovle this but only after searching how to solve this problaim at 4am in the morning on youtube using my PC .. this video poped up and worked for me. thank you so much..saved me spending any cash too.

Thanks, the 2nd method worked for me! I was stuck on a gray screen and my iPhone wouldn't do anything but show the time and battery. It would charge but I couldn't turn it off. But after doing the second method it showed the turn off iPhone button!

Dude this saved me when I woke up at 2am to use the bathroom... and I tried to check what time it was and the screen didn't do anything. I started pressing all the buttons in a blind panic that accidently called 911😳 Thank goodness I was able to restart my phone and they called me back to see if was an emergency... but they were nice enough to let me explain that I just had to restart my phone!
