I’ve noticed in all of jays chest training vids , his left arm goes way higher than his right, yet he’s still very symmetrical, yet when I am off in just one set I feel like I’ve set myself back two years worth of symmetry building
i thought i would clear some shit up for everyone. to engage the chest is not to extend the arms to a full lockout position. he is using his chests to squeeze it to failure. this is actually a very effective way of training the chest. instead of using extension to get the chest to engage he is using his mind and range of motion and contracting the chest, squeezing it if you will. it is not bad form just a different way of training. it takes the shoulders out of the motion.
They hit dumbbells in the form of barbells..movement is same to same.. But what we small guys do is take the dumbbells too high untill they kiss each other..
i met jay, once. it's funny standing next to someone that's sooo big. it's funny, cause even if your taller it doesn't feel like you are, cause there's just so much human in front of you.
Yes, I have seen and read about it. I have not tried it so far though, not in a meaningful way because most sources say to go through the range of motion. But Arnold has suggested as much because going to the lock position takes the pressure off the chest and on the bones, by not going all the way through, the chest is doing the work 100% of the time.
Mate... dont comment about stuff you know nothing about.... Let me explain something: Jay is muscle BUILDING, he's job is not to move weights its building muscle! Making your muscles grow, is done by putting them under pressure(tention) for a period time. Like 30 sec to 70 sec hence the 12 controlled reps...You have completely dropped the ball here mate.
its freaking heavy for them so when they put it down they wont be able to put it down slowing leading to releasing them he didnt throw the weights he released them, they love the equipment man they see them everyday
and prevents injury. i ultilse this in my workouts currently and have noticed a far better pump and stronger chest all round, as well reducing the impact on my shoulders. i will admit my range of motion is a little more then jays but he is 4x mr.o i think he knows what he is doing. lol
im not disagree with the legitimacy of the exercise ive just heard to many times from pros saying that for bench you cant beat the original bench and that there is no substitute
why not? i would say smith machines are actually better isolating and developing the chest. Free weight barbell puts too much stress on other muscles like shoulders n tris for stabalizing the weight.
Jay is the only bodybuilder I've seen train with immaculate form at least with chest training. He grips closer, ensures his hand position ends up being more inwards than his elbows, ensuring his pecs get max contraction. It's a weaker way of lifting, but safer and better. And when he's targeting upper chest, he actually brings the weight to the top of his chest unlike these other soyboys doing incline and bringing the bar mid chest or even near the nipples lol.
I'm pretty sure he does calves on leg days also so i dunno what you're talking about when you say why not do as much sets for calves as you would for bi's and tri's.
@@MastahMich you can tell? cause that's the same thing with me. I do notice I have a pelvic tilt and my lower body and upper body basically are never straight in line.
It's called lateral pelvic tilt. Do you have any pains and issues? You can still fix it, but it takes a while. It's no something that will be fixed within weeks.@@Born2Punch
@zebfullmer i wouldnt say amatuer but average for a bb'er.. possibly. but that is mostly due to genetics sadly. i mean look at dexter. ive seen forearms bigger lol

He has lateral pelvic tilt (uneven hips, shoulders). It's kind of weird that he doesn't address it.
I like how he makes the belt looks so small.

Both are right form

@BourbarianSammy Thank you so much dude! You've no idea how much i was searching for this music!
Awesome power! Putting things in perspective, Jay picked up the weight of an average Asian guy in each hand and pressed it up 8 times.

Aaah the lovely feeling after working out your calves and you walk like you shat your pants
a BEAST at BEST
its freaking heavy for them so when they put it down they wont be able to put it down slowing leading to releasing them he didnt throw the weights he released them, they love the equipment man they see them everyday
too bad this gold gym is no longer there :(
Insane calves!
And he did them in nice form too..
and prevents injury. i ultilse this in my workouts currently and have noticed a far better pump and stronger chest all round, as well reducing the impact on my shoulders. i will admit my range of motion is a little more then jays but he is 4x mr.o i think he knows what he is doing. lol
"Cmon, bro. Let's go bro. Do it bro. Bro. Bro. Bro. You're sexy bro."
Bro.
3:20 I’ve watched this 1000 times
they have to get that big in order to win/compete at mr olympia .
its just so true i had to give it a thumbs up
i thought he said he stays away from flat chest bench in another video. and there he used the rack to do the flat bench.
Nice cutler
@BlinD163 the band playing that song is "10 years", not sure on the song but thats definitley the band. ;)
man rocks his jordans
Damn I'm looking for Jay on calves, but that was pretty much nothin'.

not crazy big but very definition
gotta luv hearin Springsteen in the background!!
Man calves have to be one of the hardest part to get big
rockin the jordans! Thumbs up!
🔥🔥💪🏼💪🏼 jay
this is my workout 4 tomorrow :))
That's a 100% true statement.
stops the bloodflow abit to the muscle which makes you train a lot longer
Not A Single Bench Was Pressed That Day....
ty
I wish my gym played good music like this. I have to wear headphones cause all they play is Lil Wayne and Bruno Mars...
@9eman9 That's why you learn proper benching form for isolating the chest as much as possible
@DanielCamachoTrack haha ... they've surely got to be Varsity Reds.. he wouldn't be tearing up Infra's!
This was the last and final Mr. Olympia run for jay because it was in 2011 Phil became the new reigning king 7years in row.
Jay Cutler Calves and Chest
im not disagree with the legitimacy of the exercise ive just heard to many times from pros saying that for bench you cant beat the original bench and that there is no substitute
3:30.. make sure your volume is all the way up.
uh oh jay cutler has the studio dre beats!!! :D
"SUPERMAN"
holy shit............hes huge!!!!!!!!!!!
what you mean? not a fan of the guillotine press? great exercise for the upper triangle that incline usualy cant hit
He probably carbed up before this workout , the guy is pretty fucking strong !
causeee ...its coool
Sure!
480p or better please
Hello , he doing bench(Smith) near the neck, its focus for upper chest ?
why not? i would say smith machines are actually better isolating and developing the chest. Free weight barbell puts too much stress on other muscles like shoulders n tris for stabalizing the weight.
" Me reading 9 year old comments "
damn, infared 6's good job jay
At 0:43 it looks for a second like this is a different type of video…
I wish the gym i go to is always that empty lol
wouldnt expect him to use a smith machine
Reg Park, Steeve Reeves

not to mention it's on incline
what is the name of song at 4:35? Anybody knows?
muse in the background
Whats the name of the intro song
whats the song starting at 4:24 .. wanted you on my mind ...
who else sees at 3:30 the tiny dude doing triceps behind jay, sucks to be that dude
does he even realise his left arm makes a bigger range of motion on the dumbell presses?
He looks like Will Ferrell no lie.
Fuck will ferrel i hate him.
@zebfullmer Whose calfs are bigger? yours or his? Thats what I thought.
I dont understand why train calves first
easier to concentrate on the chest, no need to balance, isolation technique
I wear a hat to coz the freakin sweat gets into my eyes.
why are you watching it? if you don't like it then don't do it.
when he does the dumbbell bench, he extends his left arm more than his right haha
He has lateral pelvic tilt (uneven hips, shoulders). It's kind of weird that he doesn't address it.

Yes I can definately tell. Sam Sulek also has lateral pelvic tilt. @@Born2Punch
to quote the great kai greene i will never be a weightlifter
i wouldnt be able to workout in the same gym as him..i look at my weight then look at his and then go home
so... wat he does is grow the muscle without getting to much force?
This guy looks like he could fart and burn 500 calories with that one action.
there smaller than the chest and i trained calves first it would annoy me cos its sore to do calves it would disturb my focus
2:50 - 3:13 did he suffer a right shoulder injury in the past? looks like it's slightly weaker...
he has mild scoliosis
why do so many bodybuilders wear hats in the gym?
lol 155 bells at 11pm. FUCK THAT
swag
Y would anyone want to be that damn big.
nice
Why are all the weights in this gym old lol
at 5 mins its 10 years-Wasteland
10 pm? i go sleep at 10 pm...
so many haters lol full motion is for powerlifters not bodybuilders...noobs
Cus its cool
why not?
Yo, have you seen this thing called the MegaMax Muscle Maker? (check google). My dad says it helps the average person get ripped fast.
@zebfullmer i wouldnt say amatuer but average for a bb'er.. possibly. but that is mostly due to genetics sadly. i mean look at dexter. ive seen forearms bigger lol
0:40 "The Human Excavator"
You can talk all u want about his form and range but he must of did something right becuz he has four mr o's under his belt!
Ouch.
what is the music track??
targeting top chest
lol...that does remind u of his "O" face~kinda scary actually! lol
To keep their hair/sweat out of their eyes when they do exercises such as bench press.
why train at night!!!!???
