Hi everyone, check out my new video, it is my best and proudest work to date. I spend over 60 hours editing it and 6 months filming it. It would mean a lot if you gave quick watch when you have a second free. Cheers! th-cam.com/video/t5_qFOyV_lY/w-d-xo.html

When you visited India, could you only afford to stay in a sleeping bag level of accommodations that perhaps gave you the image you describe? And when you did any exploring, could you only afford the free nearby walk-to experiences? Folks that could afford a decent holiday in India describe it quite the opposite of what you describe, myself included. Or, did you not go there at all and you are just repeating a description from someone that couldn't afford a decent holiday in India. Then I suggest you go to see for yourself, providing, of course, you don't try to backpack India. IMHO, I see the "Blind Man Describing an Elephant" syndrome. www.allaboutphilosophy.org/blind-men-and-the-elephant.htm

Goa in 1971 was less crowded, but the beach was lovely and the people wonderful. The 1st high-rise was yet to be completed. The northern-most beach was then the French Hippie beach. Some things don't change. Back then the exchange rate was 7 rupees/dollar, our cottage similar with hotplate and memorably friendly goat cost 50 cents per night. Those who visit India still find riches of the spirit as their reward for being adventurous. OM.

I am from Goa .lived my whole life here ..
To be honest with u guys.
If u are planning to visit Goa
    Pls don't do it.
Its total mess here . beaches are filled with trash, overcrowded.
And there all sorts of people out there to cheat tourists..
If ur foreign tourists coming down here then u will probably get shock of ur life.. back In the day beaches were beautiful but now it's mess.
Those who are making videos of Goa being beautiful are tricking people by showing only good part.

Similar shady thing happened to me on bus from Agra to Delhi. They sold me a seat on the bus - it turned out to be this pseudo-seat right on top of the front wheel. It was so fricking hot and uncomfortable! I opened the window - there was some festival and this dude on the street threw colored paint in my eye (by accident I’m hoping). We got dropped off somewhere random in Delhi. So glad I didn’t stay in Pahar Ganj. I feel like traveling backpacker style in India is the perfect way to test your patience and stress tolerance!

Because when I was there in 1984 then there were few shop and restaurant 🍴 but more hippies.. What do you mean by Indianised? Shall I snap in that by your name you aren't a Westernised person either.🤣 Or may I stupidly make such assessment that you're Cousin of Jackie Chan 😂 Next time use your intelligence before delivering such stray remarks.. 🤣 I'm a Indian of mixed origin residing in Germany 🇩🇪 for 21 year's and my wife is American 🇺🇸 😂 🤣 I'm neither Indianised, Germanised or Americanised.. 🤣 I'm who I'm like the way I'm.. Unconventional and way above those typical Asian's.. Hello. Apologies for the hazzle you had to face. There are good people and bad people so really sorry for the inconvenience. However you must visit the Northeast Side of India as it is less populated and people are more friendlier with softer tones. I am from NE India and we are culturally also very different, Western culture has an influence and people are more chilled out. However the other places you must visit are Leh, Ladakh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Shillong etc. You will absolutely love the stunning landscapes as it is breathtakingly Beautiful. Please follow "The Hopping Bug" and "Ethereal" as the places there are well elaborated and you will love it. Thanks again. :) Please do visit to these places I have reffered. :)

The problem with you is you like (or should I say, afford to) to live, travel and eat in the cheapest places and then wisely complaint about the whole situation! Three to five dollar lodges, cheapest street food stalls, and local cheapest buses will only be in those areas where everything is at the lowest level in any country/city of the so-called "third-world-countries'! However, every city has its bright side as well, and I clearly can see that you are deliberately ignoring this fact while traveling India. Another thing I observed in your vlogs, you arrive in any city, walk around two or three streets, show two or three places, some dogs, cats, etc. and done with that city, and hop you go to another city! Lol!

@@IndigoTraveller I just stumbled upon your Pakistan blog and thn india vlog. U stay in the slums, in the sub standard hotels,, in shady dingy areas where even a normal middle class indian would not stay.. You take ur camera to a dump yard, you focus on the grim and dirt, what exactly are you trying to show?? If you are visiting a country and govt has given u a visa, atleast show some respect to the struggles of the commoners. Also, as a tourist you should be focussing on places to visit, I just don't seem to find any of the beautiful sceneries, natural heritage in ur videos except the sarcastic remarks. If you go n visit a slum, what else shud u expect than dirt n stink? Go visit the cities, travel by taxis, stay in 3 star hotels, show the monuments the development and then give ur comments. I swear, Indian govt shud mk the tourist visa process more stringent for vloggers like you who spread negativity. You should not be allowed into country where u r making ugly videos n trying g to project a partial image and make money.

I wonder why won't foreigners ever visit the Northern and North eastern indian region? (Himanchal, uttrakhand, jammu, Punjab, assam, Arunanchal, nagaland)They're generally more cleaner than mainland india, have less population, nice people, more mountains and serne landscapes. Honestly all you of just intentionally visit the bad parts of india that even indians will not go to, it's really not our fault if you don't visit the North. There's more illiteracy and poverty in Central and central North india and so it's bad there (including old delhi)

Also, as a travel vlogger you should be focussing on places to visit, I just don't seem to find any of the beautiful sceneries, natural heritage in ur videos except the sarcastic remarks.

With you saying, typical indian behaviour to when you were dropped off in the middle of nowhere, was a really harsh comment to put the country in the bad light, specially coming from someone who makes youtube videos and has a chance to reach out to millions of people in the world. Thats not what most of my white friends who have been mumbai and goa have faced, so could it be something to do with yourself instead of the Country as a whole? Plus the most beautiful bit is, that the western world shows themselves to be absolutely spot on in everything. I would not say that India is perfect, it is still developing, still growing - but not growing by shaming other countries. I am sure you would never show your country in the bad light on youtube. I have lived 26 years in that country and never have I once been dropped off in the middle of nowhere, if I have made sure to confirm what is the last stop for the bus, which I am sure you will do in NZ as well.. Talking about typical indians, think you forgot about the men you met in Mumbai who showed you around and called himself your bodyguard, helped you selflessly...

    • @Mahakaalkibetii
      @Mahakaalkibetii 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Fair enough you met the men in mumbai after this video, however just imagine that power and the impact your video has had as i just stumbled upon this video and watched it without watching any others. I think you need to appreciate that youtube is a platform but also a responsibility...

+Tarranum Sharma I completely understand where you are coming from. But the thing is that these kinds of situations have occurred on numerous occasions to me and many of my friends travelling in India - Indian and foreign. Also I never said typical Indians. I said typical Indian behavior. I know no country is perfect and that includes my own. When I vlog I like to show every situation and experience I go through, good or bad. I did check the last bus stop and was promised it was Mumbai central - it wasn't. Another thing, I will never forget what my friends did for me re the money, showing the slums and showing me generous hospitality in Mumbai. I believe my videos are a clear and transparent depiction of what I encounter. I show India in a good light by showing the world far out places with beautiful, loving and giving local people but sometimes I run into problems, that's life and this vlog is about my life. I love India. I am truly sorry if I have offended you in anyway, I see your point and it has been noted. In the future I will try to be more clear about such topics. Thank you for your time. Nick.

Oh , I saw the cute babe in the black suit on the beach . You could have shown us the run you made at her . Result didn't matter . It's the hunt . Show us how you live once you are there . I didn't see a scrap of food since you bought some stuff leaving Thailand . All planes , buses , and taxis look the same from the inside . Been there , done that . I like your style and want to watch more but there are tons of quality , entertaining travel videos to choose from . I mean look at you .Walking around for days in some of the toughest places on earth and not scratch on you . Mix it up a bit . LOL . Thanks . Good luck .
