Visiting South Goa, India - SO Different Than the Rest of India!

  • After traveling to six different cities in India, we finally made it to South Goa for some beach time! We have heard from so many people that Goa is the best place to go in India if you want to relax, and after visiting so many busy Indian cities we are definitely in need of some relaxation and time away from the crowds!
South Goa was the perfect place for us to enjoy the beautiful beaches and laid back vibe that we have been yearning for. In this video we rent a scooter (which is locally referred to as a scooty) and spend the day driving around South Goa going from Majorda Beach to Cola Beach to Butterfly Beach for sunset. If you are wondering what to do for 1 day in Goa, we highly recommend this routing! We got to spend lots of time on the scooter enjoying the scenery while also visiting some of South Goa's best beaches!
If you are visiting India for the first time, we HIGHLY recommend scheduling a visit to South Goa into your itinerary. India is hectic, like, REALLY hectic, and this is even more true for foreigners because visitors are very often approached by locals who are interested in foreigners. It's all part of the India experience, but it can be quite tiring after a while. South Goa offers some reprieve from the fast-paced city life that can be found in Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Agra, and so many other Indian cities that millions of people call home.
If you are looking for more of a party scene, we hear North Goa is the place to be! We were told by lots of local Indians that North Goa is a great place to meet people and find big beach parties, but if you're looking for a slower pace with great beaches, then South Goa is for you!

For someone visiting from outside, I understand it's important to stay in cities like Delhi and Mumbai and Kolkata and Chennai to experience the culture, the food and everything else that India stands for. But for a true vacation, your destinations should be Goa, Kerala, The Himalayas, the Western Ghats etc. These places host some of the most pristine landscapes that earth has to offer.

for best beaches in India there are andaman n nicobar islands (572 islands) and lakshadweep islands (36 islands).
lakshadweep is close to maldives has got unharmed coral reeves. it's like Maldives at very lesser cost. both andaman and lakshadweep has great water. Radhanagar Beach in Havelock Islands of Andaman has been rated as best beach in asia by trip advisor and others. but you need to take permit before entering. you can ask any travel agency do that work for you. Andaman is more tourist friendly than Lakshadweep.

I always suggest first time foreign tourists in India to ignore large cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata. Land in Bangalore and start with Kerala to acclimatise, then follow the western ghats on coastal areas and visit Mangalore, Gokarna, Goa. Spend few days in Karnataka or Tamilnadu to do the ancient architecture and temple tours. Then goto MP and Rajasthan. While leaving stay a day in Delhi and do a guided tour. In subsequent visits can do Delhi , Sikkim, Himachal, NE etc. Food is good all over the country.

Indian is very different from north to south , east to west. India has 5 seasons, we have desert, snowy mountains, beaches backwaters and hillstation. It's one of most geographically diverse country in the world
If you're in India now, in the month of January.
You can go to Thar desert in rajasthan, and just 924km from the desert you can visit a city in Himachal Pradesh called "Shimla". It's a hillstation where you can experience snowfall
It's insane that after you travel 924km you will literally go from a desert to snowy hillstation city😂

Guys If u will visit Andaman Nicobar Islands ( bay of Bengal)or Lakshadweep Island ( Arabian sea) then i can guarantee that u will feel heaven 🏝️🏝️ Totally different and lots of adventures. U need to check it out. As a Indian i want to show the whole india and it's geography , The place I'm recommending that it's like Hawaii. It's far from mainland but worth it

Its a shame that Butterfly beach got popular because it was such a cool place to explore...it wasnt a popular place until like 3 or 4 years ago..the way me and my friends explored it was by kayaking our way through the sea to the beach and it felt so surreal to have the entire beach to ourselves...also no outsidee knew about that beach for a long time, one of my friends who got a job in Goa after spending 2 years in Goa found out about it from the locals and took us there and now because some travel youtubers geotagged the location and put it in their vlogs, it got famous and the secluded vibe is not there anymore...its a shame though because it was absolutely beautiful when i went there and it doesnt look that good anymore with all the crowd

You can take a boat or a kayak from Palolem or Agonda beach to the butterfly beach, saved from the bike ride through the muddy road. That's how people used to visit it actually before finding the inland route.
Which beach is that at 0.17secs? Don't think I have visited it yet.
Loved the vlog, didn't want it to end.

    Hello Nicole and Mico,
I had told you that if you want to see beaches that you have must visit to goa. I felt happy that you visit goa. I also said you if you want to see crystal and clear water must visit to Ladakh and leh(himalaya), Shimla and Manali(Himachal pradesh) and mussorei (Queen of hill station), Dehradun and Haridwar (Holy place). Guys, if you want to see snow falls here in india. those states are best. This is season of snow falls. i hope that you visit also there. best wishes to your journey in India. Take care.

this is the closest to authentic India you have been in. India is a tropical country with 25 percent green cover of which 24 percent is the forest cover. There are 106 National Parks and 553 Wildlife Sanctuaries in the country. India has 8% of total biodiversity of the world. western ghats in india has most number of tree species in the world and one of biggest number of some of the most rare animal species on earth. India is top producer of fruits, vegetables, spices, legumes, grains on earth; exports them all around the world and can be called food capital of the world. even 200 years ago most of India was covered with dense forests.
