Very nice collection pieces! I have a growing appreciation for end cuts with pallasites and I must say the backlit Esquel was absolutely amazing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful collection! Is it standard for the source to epoxy the meteorite to prevent rusting? I keep seeing this on Ebay but I want natural polish thank you.
Thanks for your comment. Having them sealed an epoxy is almost proof that they are low quality meteorites. China did that to a bunch of Sericho Pallasites and sealed in any issues to eat away at the meteorite.
@TopherspinMeteorites thanks for the insight. Again I was blown away when you turned on the back lights for your meteorites. Especially the Esquel. Looks like it's flying through space.
What do you mean with completly stabile ? Where do you buy such beautiful pieces ? Which Meteorite is less likely to rust, is there a stainless Meteorite ?
I sell them! www.tinyURL.com/Topherspin The metal (Nickel & Iron) can stabilized through reverse electrolysis to stop the oxidation process. There is no "stainless' meteorite. Imilac, Seymchan, and Esquel are usually stable Pallasites.
Very nice collection. I see that Sericho and Seimchan meteorites that shine through in the light sometimes looks the same. Is it ok? Because they were found in absolutely different places and time.
Some Pallasite do look alike. This is due to their formation process. Sometimes the olivines are round sometimes they're more angular. When the meteorite is cut super thin it allows light to pass through the translucent olivines showing off their beauty.
Yes, only buy from trusted names especially on eBay. Search my channel for: fake, eBay, scammer and watch us talk about them. Here is a quick video. There are others of better fakes on my channel. th-cam.com/video/avBBiaD1ECo/w-d-xo.html Are you subscribed?
Thanks, we appreciate it. I have no interest in any finds outside of Africa, Chile, and other DCAs found by known hunters. I have to certify everything I sell. I take that very serious. Excellent presentation of a great collection.
Glad you enjoyed it - Ron filmed, edited, and narrated the entire middle part. I love a man who loves his mets!
