Travis took the "disgruntled Santa's elf" role a lot further than you'd possibly imagine it going in a one-shot.
Played it masterfully too, the villainous speeches were on-point and he managed to incorporate many jokes and references.

the whole run up to it, Julie Nathanson's reaction, Ashley and Travis whispering, snickering, Ashley holding the secret but Travis cracking up so hard that Matt catches on and gives him the "I've got my eyes on you" signal, lmao... OMG, this was something ELSE to see as it happened, hahaha... One of my all time favoriate villainous moments from all Critical Role content! Ellory/Julie, "This is the OPPOSITE of what we are supposed to be doing!!!" as Chut is ruining Christmas for the fanfic writer elf, lmao.
And that's how Chutney got a 2nd chance as Chetney, with no memory of his past attempted dirty deed and bound forever to a love for crafting ... with wood. IN A LAND FAAAAAR AWAAAAY

Hands down, probably the best character played by Travis, and one of the best characters from the one-shots overall
Good news. If you're following campaign 3, he brought Chutney over from the one shot and it. is. glorious.

@@lucasbrautigam6781 It's the same character. I forgot he changed a vowel in the name, but it's the same character. Some of his history was modified to fit the current world instead of the xmas one shot, but it's the same guy. Same class, same tools/weapons, same attitude, same voice, basically the same name, the same backstory. It's the same character.
There are a few other points I could make, but I don't want to spoil the one shot if you or anyone else hasn't seen it. But it's definitely the same character.
I have a feeling that Travis is going to be playing one shot characters he's used in the past and they'll all end up dying throughout the campaign. I think this group of characters is going to deal with a lot of death this time around. If they're lucky, it'll be like Bertrand and they won't be too attached for it to hurt too much, but these guys are great actors and I imagine they'll portray that impact in their characters. I'm expecting good stuff this campaign.

@@r.s.2890 Matt's character was North Pole head of security. He was involved with "the very naughty list" He was the fat man's enforcer and executioner.
Some of the "threats" to the workshop that he "deal with" might not have wanted to attack Santa but just wanted to do climatology research. He had blood on his hands before the attempted coup.

actually Taliesin picked up the "Screaming Lady Head Sword" called the Sword of Vengeance, he smashes it into one of the leftover piles of bugs, over and over again (Liam implies that´s the swords doing)

Yes, "Chetney" the gnome is really Chutney the "elf". Travis jokingly said he'd get all his one-shot characters killed one by one, he did it with Bertrand already and Chutney might be next.
