I’ve loved the LX since its inception as the LX450 in 1996, then the LX470 in 1998; after then I thought the model was rather bland until the 2017 LX500 where its looks improved. The LX600 though is definitely the pinnacle … and I can’t believe Lexus made a boxy SUV look so good - especially with the kink in the D-pillar, similar to the new Sequoia. Agreed, it needs a pano roof, but since sadly the Landcruiser has left these shores, and was getting too expensive, it’s certainly the LX600’s time to truly shine. Incredible job by the brand and dope review as always on this channel!
This suv is actually based on the brand new lc300 land cruiser. It's not available in my country yet but it will launch soon. This suv and it's brother the land cruiser are very popular in my country, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, KSA, and many other countries.
Very impressive vehicle, but I wish Lexus offered more color choices, exterior and interior. High end customers have greater choice with the competition's mix & match trim and color offerings. That front grille is crazy, but suits the LX 600. The styling is sooo, "in your face" - gotta admire the boldness of it all. Great review Miles.
Would be nice to see some colors that match the bold styling, I agree. Toyota/Lexus is historically conservative with their paint palette. Thanks for the kind words Edd!
Don't bemoan the lack of colour choice, you lucky people, you. In the UK we get 4-pot IS, ES and Hybrid LS only. The Toyota LC300 and the LX460 and LX600 aren't available in Europe! 😎
This is the best quality SUV ever. It's a Luxurious Land Cruiser and definitely much package ending than tahoe or expedition!! And what NVH capabilities has reached Toyota
I mean.... its a BODY ON FRAME SUV that isn't meant to be raced around..... -_- but its great to see in your reviews... it's like if you took a GR86 and got upset that it can't get over your normal curb on the road without damage on the car... The LX was never designed to be a CARVER nor a Speed Performance SUV
Absolutely right. I made a point to test the handling to compare to the prior generation because Lexus said it was improved. Alas, it felt about the same. Don't come expecting a sports car, but you should still be aware of huge lean in emergency situations.
The LX 600 is nice no doubt, but I love The Lexus LX 570 that quadruple in sales in 2021, and it did it at a time when buyers known that Toyota would introduce that V6 twin turbo in their Lexus LX 600 that got many not confident in it. Theres nothing like the raw power of The Mighty V8 that the Lexus LX 570 has in it.
The lexus also offers a diesel too with 309Hp and 700nm of torque. Its not available in us though. But I think the diesel one will be much better. Better fuel economy and the diesel suits a suv this size. The range rover also comes with a diesel ingenium again not offered in usa. It has 349hp 700nm. Both diesel engines are jems.
The 570 is the pinnacle. Bulletproof reliability, tough but luxurious looks, and that burly V8 engine!! This one is a step back smh. It looks softer and downgraded to a V6. Plus they removed the split tailgate
20% of Lexus LX was selling it in Russia. That's stopped. Therefore there is a possibility that time to wait for car delivery becomes short in other countries.
The lx 470 is also a nice car but they made a mistake putting a v6. The v8 was more fast and responsive. And better handling. Dodge cars have the power and handling. This is a land cruiser in a Pakistan or Asia.
long term?200% better. short term? Escalade is slightly better. I have a lx that is 6 years old and it feels just as good as the day I bought it. way better than Escalade. 6 years later on an Escalade feeling like it's falling apart the way I drive. first hand experience.

@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD yes I'm aware, but because it's competing in the same segment as the X7 and he test drove one prior to this, I was curious as to how they compared to each other.
The X7 is vastly more athletic as a unibody SUV and I preferred its interior technology, but the LX 600 felt smoother at low speeds, had comfier seats, and could obviously go much further off the beaten path than the X7.
Sure the vehicle is capable of going off road, but it isn’t shipped with tires that can perform that duty. For that much money one should be able to drive thru 2” of mud the day of purchase. Another reviewer already proved mild mud defeats the vehicle.
The biggest failure Lexus keeps reiterating after MUCH criticism is their tame transmissions. The 2008-14 Lexus IS-F at that time suffered from having a dated ZF compared to the rival E90/92 M3 DSG, and now this. I mean I get it in this application, they probably don't care about having it match the modern RC-F transmission but at least tune it in Sport to react to the driver instead of the driver reacting to it! Jeez! Great video Miles!

That interior looks like a hot mess with that after thought extra screen on the top lol lexus has no clue , they are doing in 2022 what acure and infinity did in 2015 , the new sequoia looks 1000 times better than this trash .
