  • North America Overland has been building Land Rover Series IIAs since 2010 with a goal of creating the most beautiful and best driving Series IIAs possible. To achieve this goal we have thoughtfully modified and tweaked the original design of the vehicle. In 2020 we created what we call our Version IV NAO Series IIA. In this video we will show off a Version IV NAO Series IIA and explain how it differs from our previous builds.

Beautifully done. Wish you had a twin in the UK. We have many very expensive original spec restorations and many overly modified. Saying that, perhaps one or more of the UK based specialists do similar work to you guys, which appears absolutely exemplary.

Truly lovely restorations. I love your honesty about the leaky canvas soft tops. But then all these quirks are a part of the authentic old Landy experience…

    Hi Mike,
I restore motor vehicles for a living like you.
I wish mine were as simple as Land Rovers....
( that said, I have a 1953 80" in the shop to recommission after long storage after a 1980's "restoration".)
My point is, that this caper is very demanding and continually throws up problem after problem that has to be overcome.
You have to be like a dog at a bone.
    You need passion.
You demonstrate the determination needed and the passion, and, as a result, I am sure you have many satisfied customers.
Being OCD about detail helps mightily.
I know that you gain great frustration and ultimately satisfaction , upon prevailing, from your work.
I know that you go to work and enjoy your job, something that the greater part of humanity misses out on in life.
I also know that for you, like me, your latest project is your best one and it is a continual quest to learn and improve.
I appreciate your videos very much.
    Thank you Mike.

Another amazing job, Mike!!!! The modern upgrades are great. Not nearly a restomod but taking advantage of 50 years of mechanical advancement. Well done!! I want all the upgrades you did on my 109!

  • @oilstovesandmore

I think you deliver a superb restaurtion/restomod . This is how the LandRover could have been in the sixties if the the technology had been available in those year.👍
I own some 10 LandRovers from '59 to '77 gasoline and diesel. 88 and 109. I love my LandRovers.
I think it is also the best vehicle if you want to restore a car for the first time. Just like the vw beatle which is also a nice car to restore because you can take them apart piece by piece.
    Greetings from The Netherlands.

Exceptional video and superb job with this restoration. Looks vastly more professionally done than any Land Rover series vehicle my former business ever "restored"---including one we did for my late father and a 1967 NADA 6-cylinder we converted to Series III specification (with same NADA six in it) for me. You have what appears from the many videos I've seen, the best and most professionally restored Land Rovers "made" in the U.S.A. Perhaps some day I will talk with you guys and put an order in for one for me. Great work! And I've got to agree with you about the brakes and the rear half shafts. The originals, 591378 and 591379 (vintage to SII, IIA & III to about 1981, as I recall)---and I'm talking factory OEM---seemed to have been built to break "about one and a half inches out from the inboard (diff) end" of both right and left rear half shafts. My former business sold a huge number of B.L. supplied rear half shafts of the two part numbers quoted here. They're from memory. I left that business on 1 January 1986. Fabulous looking job you've done with all the Land Rovers I've seen from your business via the many videos I've seen. Thank you for these excellent videos and for your love for the old Land Rovers! Excellent work. On a previous vehicle (a 1969 I think) you used Raptor liner under the body panels and powder coated some of the components (axles and wheels, I believe). Is there a reason why you don’t do this for all vehicles? Regards from England.

      @mikesandone2652 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@rogerwileman9965 those aftermarket front panels that you see for sale really don't fit well, I actually don't have a source for Series III NOS fenders either. Plus we want to keep all of the vehicle's original body panels, modifying the fender only takes about 30 minutes when you have a jig. You would never really be able to tell it's not factory!
