Thanks! Yes if you want full MSI capabilities, the ducer in the motor must be MSI. You can use an MDI motor ducer with an MSI unit but you won't have Side Imaging. There is no way to use both transducers at the same time. Mu suggestion is use the MSI unit at the console with transducer on transom. Buy an MDI motor (less expensive than MSI) and an MDI Humminbird for the front. If both sonars have an "N" in the code , ie Helix 7 MDI G4 N, you can have them share data
Just purchased a Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor. My question is , I have a Lowrance 7 HDS Gen 2 on the bow of the boat. Can I use the Terrova built in transducer to work on the Lowrance HDS7 gen2? All I want is 2D Sonar. I also have a Garmin 93SV on the bow. Same question as before. I would rather use the Garmin. Again for 2D Viewing only. Thanks.

Thanks Ernie...yes all Side Imaging transducers in Minn Kota have Down Imaging and 2D sonar as well

How about 360??? Available yet on Minkota? Will I be able to hook up to my garmin. ?
I would need more specifics. Mega 360 is available for Ultrex and in a Universal version for any boat. Garmin's software does not support 360.
