My favorite is the classic red and gold suit because it just looks cool.
Edit: Also, the prime armor could also go invisible and you can see Tony but the armor is still around him, it's like an invisible forcefield or armor if you would.
Which the Mark 85 pay preference to a lot more it's basically what if his classic armor was in the MCU combined with the mark 50
The modular armor of 94 is the most iconic for me. The 90's is the golden age of arcade games and console games like marvel super heroes and marvel heroes war of the gems

Modular FTW. I love how bulky it looks with the extra armor padding, and also its functionalities. IMO i dont think many suits compare to it, but the 1963 is very close, love its really sleek design
For me it's definitely a tie between Silver Centurion and the 90's Modular armor. Superior Iron Man should be an honorable mention too
I love the aesthetic of the classic suits, pre-extremis and pre-movie. it's so distinct, especially the modular suit.

of course, the mcu has some pretty good ones that i wouldn't swap out for anything else (except the homecoming armor), but the modular armor is what i think of when someone talks about comic iron man
😶,.... I remember that suit from the first and second season of the 90's animated series (reruns) on Disney's Jetix block.
2:55 Actually, the extremis armor was made of memory metals which could be folded and stored in the briefcase again after a lengthy period of hauling the previous model around in a metal crate passing it off as his car. It solve the problem of too many systems in the armor and in ability to streamline and miniaturize those necessary systems to allow for a more compact model.

@@MorrisPXG The Mark 43 is a prehensile automated suit, it's essentially a finished Mark 42. The Extremis is more comparable to Mark 46.

Cheers for this, been searching for "can the iron man suit be made" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Xenacob Heyndrew Guide - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my colleague got excellent results with it.

that Asgardian Armor is the Uru Armor right? and the bleeding Edge and Endo-Sym armor are basically the Prime armor.

Yeah it seems like he just included every new armor tony made. Especially the armors from the 60s, those are mainly the same but he included like 5 of them.
The silver centurion is my favorite, I love the sharper, more angular look and the silver and red color scheme

Blamo Stramo actually he just went back to Extremis. Although in his own series (as well as the most recent avengers runs) he cycled through many suits including what was essentially a New Avengers/Illuminati armor with black detailing here and there as well as a blacked out part of the torso. He also strangely had an entirely separate armor on the covers for Slott’s run which looked just the tiniest bit like Extremis but still had a lot of striking visual identity. The best way I can describe it if you haven’t seen the covers are imagine if Extremis just jutted out at you a lot more but was more streamlined and angular. Shame we never got to see it though, it would’ve looked interesting when done by the right artist (maybe Mike Del Mundo).
@@jorgeneedssleep7978 The armor in the covers of Slott's run was indeed just the Extremis with a touch of artistic license from the artist Alexander Lozano. It was sleeker and the unibeam had some weird notches, but all the visual cues of the Extremis Armor were still there. This "version" of the Extremis sorta made it into the comics in the Avengers issues drawn by David Marquez early in Aaron's run.
It's sad they don't make such cool armors nowadays

This should have been named "Main suits troughout decades", not the best armours. Other than the Hulk and Thor busters, they just named his main armours...
Actually no Tony has way more suits than Just these 10 so you must not really know because you’re saying that these are his main armors but Tony has way more armor so they’re not really his main ones
Throughout the years, there always has been a main "avatar" armour that tony prefers. So even if there're more armours, they only said the main ones. I don't remember any other armour that stayed enough time to be a main one, besides the Superior Suit or the Model 45 suit (Used in the Guardians of the Galaxy comics). There are more iconic ones, yes, but they weren't enough time to be a main one

When I first saw the prime armour being used in the comics, it immediately became my favourite.
And people still say that the superior Iron Man suit is the best. I bet that they didn't see what the prime armor could do.
I like the prime suit best then all the suits.
The modular armor will always always always be my favorite suit for Iron man. Though the prime armor is a very strong second.

Prime Model is way more versatile and powerful than the BE armor. It didn't lack that one Repulsor Node flaw, one hit and the armor malfunctioned like big time.

@Guishe Hey, I'm not the kind of person who only likes the MCU. I haven't read the Marvel comics since I was a kid. I enjoyed them more than the MCU. They're both good in their own ways (to me). The Neo-Classic Model 09 was my first Iron Man. It's still my favorite. Classic Red and Gold and Extremis are up there. The new Alex Ross design looks great, except for the gold toes and soles.
You gotta love the prime suit Nano tech, camouflage, self repairing can form different weapons and go instant hulk buster, it can even turn invisible to look like Tony is not wearing it . Too bad it didn't make it to the big screen. It's definitely my favourite

Both Mark 50 from Infinity War and Mark 85 from Endgame are both based on the Bleeding Edge and Prime armors.

0:42 You left out how the magnetic chest plate allows him to keep the shrapnel from entering his heart. That’s the most important part of the armor. It also meant that he had to create a portable model so he could keep it on under his clothes since back then the concept of a small circular piece of metal in his chest has been thought up yet. Oh yeah and also the hilarious part about how he had to plug it into the wall to charge it LOL
