I know this video is 5 years old but I’m thinking of buying Omnisphere secondhand and have two questions. One, if Omnisphere is unopened, and you have the usb, do you input a email and password and the license is attached to the account you put in the installation, or is the license already purchased along with Omnisphere itself? Two, are you able to change the language in Omnisphere, because I’m buying from Japan and want to make sure it isn’t permanently stuck in Japanese. Thank you.

Reflexive don’t let the install hold you back!! Most people that complain about the install are doing so because they’re pirating a copy offline, which is a very difficult process. There are a few simple instructions that you have to follow (in order) and boom that’s it. Downloading can take a few hours which is the only frustrating part lol. If you buy the plug in and ever have questions, reach out to me anytime.

@@dukinspetit-homme1192 Hey sorry for the late response, I was never notified about your reply. The USB is only necessary for the initial installation. After everything is set up, you don't need anything plugged into your CPU in order to use the plug-in.
Honestly I think money could be better spent somewhere else if you already have Komplete Ultimate. At that point you would really just be paying $500 for a bigger library, so it's kind of like is it really worth it. Ya know?
@@nultymusic7758 i have komplete ultimate and i just bought omnisphere 2 after checking it out, with the hardware integration i think its worth it. after you buy a couple of kontakt libaries it would have been worth getting omnisphere 2 by that point imo
Hey so this is a USB stick, even though it doesn't look like it. Its just designed in a way thats very different, but it will still work inside any USB port you have. With that being said, I dont know how many places are still going to have a physical copy of omnisphere these days.
If you're looking at something around the $200 mark, its most likely the upgrade from version 1 to version 2. Any mainstream retailer should be a reliable source, like guitar center for example. I highly recommend sweetwater.com for any and all software and hardware, they are without a doubt the best in every way. Customer service is exceptional.
The process is essentially the same as on a Windows computer, and they give instructions for Mac users specifically. Due to how massive the library is, the process can be about 6 hours start to finish. Almost all of that is just waiting for everything to download/install.

There is actually no difference whatsoever. Both versions are giving you the same exact product. Years ago, it used to be that you would buy software from a store, it would come in a box, and you would insert the CD or USB stick into the computer. That method has become obsolete, because these days you just purchase and download everything online.
justin bautista It is a USB stick, so it seems that an adapter would be necessary for you if there are no USB inputs on the laptop. As long as the adapter is in good working order, I don't think you would run into any issues.

I have a 2018 macbook pro and a usb c to traditional usb adapter. do i need an adapter to install omnisphere with that card?
