I’ve had mine a 2ltr diesel RS for 10 years I wouldn’t swap it for a Porsche no problems so far I’ve changed my battery once that’s it Great little car 👍
I paid about 1.4k at 17 years old for a 1.4 vvti TR model. The facelift model 1.33 dual vvti is slightly more expensive to insure. At 23 you shouldnt be looking at too much regardless, and should definitely be cheaper than what i paid.
I bought an '09 1.33 6 speed 2 years ago, the transmission needed repairs. The main bearing of the input shaft was defective, I had the clutch replaced straight away, it cost €1500. Even with an older car it's worth it, less than 100kkm, underbody absolutely rust-free, maintenance booklet maintained, engine consumes zero oil. I'll be driving it for many years to come.
Nah hybrids might be fuel efficient but not cheap to maintain also they are slow and sluggy also if their battery goes its expensive to get repaired also they have cvt trans which keeps the cars revs high alot more then regular car. They are same as prius anyways.
@@hassankhan384 Except some engine oil once a year there is no maintenance, because it's basicly a electric car with a petrol generator. The max revs of this petrol engine is only 5500 RPM. That's not so high, and has the purpose of bringing de ICE as fast as possible on the most fuel efficient RPM, so it saves fuel. If you need all 132 HP, the ICE steps up in revs. Therefore you hear the engine more then in any other car. The battery is no issue, because less then 1% of the Toyota hybrid high voltage battery's had to be replaced. Mine is now 12 years old and still healthy. The high voltage battery charges and de-charges only between 40% and 60%, so there is no memory effect, that causes wear on the cells. The E-CVT is a electronic planet wheel driven gearbox that needs almost no maintenance. Once every 120.000 km new oil is fine.
It depends how you use your car, i had a hybrid version some years ago and thats a very good car!! But now i have a 1,6 With Manuel transmission because i need to pull my car trailer and caravan with it.
It all depends. Hybrid will by far, be the most expensive car, to maintain, if you keep the car for years, and something goes wrong. Petrol and Diesel are more simple. I would say, the 1.4 d4d, will be the cheapest, if you drive it, the correct way.
@@h0usensatioN Hello! It's not a racing car, that's for sure, but the engine runs very smoothly and is economical. Make sure that it doesn't consume any oil otherwise the repair will be expensive; the piston rings are usually carbonized because the oil wasn't changed every year. Feel free to give feedback after your purchase, have a nice weekend!
@@Luke.Skywodka Thanks a lot for the reply Luke! Yep, looking for reliability here as it is for city use for the fiancée. Will check the piston rings, thank you!
@@h0usensatioN A good choice. Mine is 15 years old and has never had anything big. Another tip: Look under the rear bumper, where the main frame ends r/l on both sides. If there is a lot of rust there (due to missing rubber fasteners), stay away. If there is no rust there (98% of the time) everything is good.
Going to buy one tomorrow. I have finally become sensible.

Why didn’t you say how flimsy and cheap the bodywork and ‘carpets’ are ? Real step down from the Corolla…
Those you upgrade
Engine is top notch
You should see the weak bodywork on new vehicles.....nothing is built to last anymore but this car will keep going when others won't anymore lol
