What a fantastic morning blast this has been! Thanks to your video, I have been zipping up Latrigg every morning during my weeks stay in Keswick, what a fantastic little loop with a great reward of a view over Keswick, plus you're home before the little monsters are even awake!!
I’m back up in the lakes maybe not the best of weather but none the less I’m still pumped. Just done this ride and absolutely loved it! Your videos do more than just entertain, this is the only reason I would have ever ridden this trail. For people that don’t know the area ur videos can be vital to having a good trip away. Anyways keep it up man, loving the vids and excited for future content!
Really appreciate the comment and glad you're enjoying the videos! Nice that you're finding them useful as well as entertaining, will do my best to keep it up! 👍
Beautiful footage man! I can actually see the lakes from where I live in Scotland and can't wait to get down there and explore at some point. Wicked to see you still making content. Keep it up!
Despite living just outside of Keswick for the most of my life I have never done this ride, next time I am home I want to check it out, thanks for the inspiration
Love watching you videos, only found your channel recently. Great to see the lake district and looking forward to bringing my bike across to try some of these routes
Thanks mate, appreciate you checking them out! I've got a couple more lakes rides recorded and ready to upload in the coming weeks. Hoping to get a lot more local content on the channel 👍
I live in Cockermouth about 13 miles from Keswick and every time I’m at Keswick I have to do Lattrig even though it is such an easy route but for more experienced riders like myself it is a good way to go and head onto skiddaw
Wow! The views out there are something else! The climb would be worth it just to take all of it in, but the fact you get to rip down on the bike after just makes it that much better. Awesome video
Brand new to mountain biking, heading up next week for a couple of nights and thus is going to be my first ever ride, cheers for the inspiration mate. Just in komoot planning now 😬😬
Im up in the lakes this month 24-25-26 of April, Fancy a ride and joint video? I wont b on the EMTB. Do you have a GOX for this looks great watched it all.
It's pretty fun haha! Compared to a lot of the surrounding hills it's small (about 1200ft compared to 3000ft in some cases) We're very lucky to live surrounded by mountains!
The whole ride can be done in under an hour if you're not hanging about to check out the views, never really timed the climb on its own. It's a busy one for walkers if you ride it through the day so would recommend the evening or early on if you can 👍
Usually out every weekend yeah, but don't do this route that often as it's pretty short and often busy with walkers. I've got it on Strava if you did want to check it out strava.app.link/oWfUIZD8C8
Hi, I know it's an old Vid. But just a question. I know It is just a footpath to the summit.. And cycles are not suppose to ride it, but is it one of those circumstance where nobody is too bothered as long your sensible as give way to walkers ect. but it's better to ride it late on when the walkers have gone. Cheers
There's quite a few popular rides that include footpaths around here, and I'd give the same suggestion for all of them. Ride either early morning or late evening, avoid peak times, respect walkers you do come across and be polite. In my whole life riding here I've only had two instances of being challenged while sticking to this. Most people are friendly and keen to have a chat haha. Worth bearing in mind too that this was filmed during the first lockdown so it was even quieter than usual. If you want to avoid the footpath section you can also ride the road up to underskiddaw car park and ride the bridleway from there, but you do miss out on the best views
@@DistrictMountainBiker Thanks for getting back to me. I have an E-MTB, and locally I ride XC, and on some footpaths. But what I find is exactly what you pointed out. Local Farmers don't mind as long as you ride showing responsibility. With footpaths , if you slow down and be prepared to stop to allow walkers to pass, with a word and a smile I have no problems at all. There a YT channel I'm subscribe to MC Trail rider. He basically rides the Scottish Mountains. Virtually Hike a Bike up to the summits and rides back down. But showing respect for walkers. On popular mountains 95% of his rides are done late evening when everyone has gone. If you haven't see his Vids here's an example th-cam.com/video/jDwx7DqnWSo/w-d-xo.html
@@protarget1 Yeah I've been following him since long before I made my first video haha. It's slightly different rules in Scotland and mountain bikes are actually allowed on the footpaths up there, but still avoiding peak times means less interruptions to your ride. Personally I think England should adopt the same approach giving more people the right to roam!
@@DistrictMountainBiker In Scotland, Its actually more than than that. as you said, It's the right to roam. You don't have to stick to footpaths. You can ride anywhere if your up to it. Check it out th-cam.com/video/4Ym2F-tHdkk/w-d-xo.html You must Abide by the Scottish Access Code. Giving way and slowing down to all other users. Being prepared to stop. Great video and a ride i definitely want to undertake after being inspired by your film and taking a walk up there yesterday. I actually chose to take a walk up with the little guys and check it out after catching this video, but which way did you ascend? it seems a lot less of a clime than the way we walked up through spoony green lane although the very first clip of you going over the bridge was familiar. keep up the excellent Vlogs, I'm working my way through your selection and you caught yourself a subscriber, looking forward to more of the same.
Hey Gary, thanks for the comment and deciding to subscribe, really appreciate it! I go up Brundholme Road to the east and then up the back of Latrigg, makes the ride a bit longer and some nice views over that side too! 👍
District Mountain Biker thats great, just checked out google maps and realised i could of saved a little bit of moaning from the little guys taking an easier walking route up from the back lol, thanks for the reply and I’ll definitely be using your route guidance for the ride, i like a challenge but spoony green lane route up may just be a step to far for my level of ability at the moment, it will make a great decent though. Of to check out some of your other Lakeland rides 👍 keep up the great vlogs.
Hello buddy, I’m going there with my friends on Monday and that will be our first day ride, can you please give me a postcode for parking where we can leave cars near this route 🙏
@@DR_1S If you haven't thought about going already, head to Whinlatter Forest trail centre, there's also Grizedale forest if you were going to be heading Ambleside way at all. Also down in Ambleside there's Loughrigg Terrace which is a pretty straight forward loop
Yeah definitely makes it a decent workout despite being short! Always do it late evening and never seem to have any issues with the walkers haha. Thanks for watching 👍
Such a good relaxing vid, love seeing them
Thanks for watching 🤙

Thanks man 🤙 I've been trying to take the opportunity to explore more locally, I'm missing the trails up in Scotland too though haha!
The scenery looks amazing. Would love to take my Raleigh Strada X up to the Lake District sometime!!
Despite living just outside of Keswick for the most of my life I have never done this ride, next time I am home I want to check it out, thanks for the inspiration
Loved the chilled vibes dude! Quality level is insane ;-)
Thanks a lot mate 🤙
Awesome, I did a similar ride in June this year, it was amazing
Nice to see some quality content.
I think everyone's libraries are beginning to run dry.
Hope to be down in Keswick before the year is out.

Truly beautiful, lovely evening light too !! Good on ya for getting out there amongst it ✌️
Amazing video! I’ve just discovered your channel and I already love the content! Keep going and stay safe!
Me and the wife are up in the lakes this week. We had a ride up latrigg after watching your channel and loved it! Thanks for the content…. Keep it up

Lovely, chilled vlog mate. I've certainly enjoyed some of the more scenic opportunities around here. Keep well Joe and hopefully catch up soon 👍
It's been nice to ride more locally actually, but it'll be amazing to get out on some group rides again! Cheers mate and all the best 👍
Living near the lakes, i am regularly up there and i forgot how beautiful it is! Awesome vid mate!
It's a stunning view point up there, no doubt one of the more popular ones! Thanks mate 👍
Nice video and very beautiful landscapes there
Love this mate :)

Very nice route, you can attach a map with the route because I am from London and I would like to come through the area, thank you!
Have you got a GPX or strava for this route. in Keswick in a couple of weeks and this looks a really pleasent ride.
looks a great ride..!

Fantastic views for a local ride. Looked like fun 👍
One of the most popular viewpoints in the area I'd say!
7:30 I don't think I've ever passed anyone on the fells without them screaming "you should be on the road" lol
I just try to be polite and don't really have any issues. But I guess at the minute most people are local and just happy to be out haha!
Amazing scenery !!!
When you get the weather it certainly is! Afraid to say that can be quite rare 😂
Sweet terrain out there!
Looks like a great ride, have you got a kamoot or gpx of the route?
Beautiful place :)
Great video dude, glad I found the channel 👍
Thanks! 🤙
Are the jumps or features still around on the trails
There's a lot of illegally built stuff being taken down at the minute, but to be honest it's the stuff that's not well built or hidden haha
That decent was great!! Short decent? Here all of the descends are 0 x that long, here are no descends hahaha

I been up Latrigg.
That's an ace little run that mate what the climbing time ? Might go up this weekend if I can find it

Bloody steep climb up out of spoonygreen lane. It's hard enough on its own, without the sideways/passive aggressive comments from all the ramblers.
