Slingshot really goes well with this! I can’t believe it took this long to actually have a true “Daytona International Speedway” track in the Daytona series!
There are three Daytona USA *arcade* games. Consoles also got exclusive games like Daytona USA Circuit Edition (Saturn/PC) and Daytona USA 2001 (Dreamcast). 3 is still fairly new so not surprised no port yet (though Sega laughable accidentally leaked the whole PC game dump on their website some time ago), and 2.....well it wasn't well received.
SonicSP circuit edition is just the Saturn version with a higher frame rate and better graphics and 2001 is a remake of the original Also Daytona USA 2 was well received 
Okay, I've played this game so many times at Dave and Buster's, and I was not expecting Slingshot to be playing in the background. That was a pleasant surprise.
The original came out in 1994 and at the time the most advanced games we played at home were things like Stunt Race FX and Star Fox. The graphics were about 10 years ahead of its time so it was a pretty amazing thing back then. Now we are in the era of serious GPU power in home PCs so it takes a lot to impress us.
So advertisement/victory lap/name entry music from Daytona USA, Course Select song from Daytona USA 2001, and Beginner course song from Daytona USA 2. Cool references to the series in this game.
I can't believe they (must be intentionally, right?) referred to the glitch in the original where the 20 car shows up on the scoreboard as 69. In this it's the opposite!
Where have these been at? I've never seen any of these cabinets. The only racing cabinets I see now of days is Fast and Furious Super Cars and Crusin' Rally
Well, it is all P.C based which is no secret for Arcades today to where you can buy the same off the shelf parts for P.C gaming rigs so Sega should just put Daytona USA 3 on steam.
They took obvious liberties with this track. It's only a mile long instead of 2.5 and the tri-oval looks nothing like the real course. It's just a guzzied up beginner's track.
This game would be cool if it didn't run so slow. The game doesn't seem to run as fast on my PC as on this Video and I have a GTX. I wasn't able to figure out why but my machine runs Forza 5 and the newest need for speed flawless. That means it should be able to run it just like on this video but the cars are slow.
Yes. The ROM of this game was uploaded and playable on PC though a emulator. This is also in arcades too, but I've only seen it once before my arcade got rid of it.

I see they modified the real life Daytona Speedway in this game to feature a different turn, in order to force the player do drift.

Yes. The ROM of this game was uploaded and playable on PC though a emulator. This is also in arcades too, but I've only seen it once before my arcade got rid of it.
