This won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film for a reason. It's absolutely incredible! I can legit watch this movie every day until the day I die and I’ll never get bored, you guys should also watch across the spiderverse, it streaming now

If you’re curious about the Gwen/MJ thing, in the comics Spider-Man has been ongoing since the 60s without any reboot at all. So his first serious girlfriend was Gwen Stacy, but she died in the 70s. Then of course he moved on with MJ which is why MJ is usually seen as the main one, she’s now the main love interest for most of Spider-Man comics.
Well in regard to the original Spiderman and Peter Parker from the comics, there has been plenty more romantic interests, and even earlier romances than the ones you mentioned. For example Liz, and Betty Brant (yes, the woman working at the Daily Bugle). Black Cat has also been a romantic interest in some occasions.
@@danielmunoz1275 Yea I'm aware. But Gwen was Peter's first serious girlfriend like I said which is why she's mainly focused on alongside MJ(who he married) - Liz was just his crush and he only went on a couple dates with Betty before breaking it off and meeting Gwen in college.

@33:16: if you go back to the very beginning when miles is walking to school, a kid mentions an earthquake the night before to which miles replies that he slept like a baby and didn’t notice. it wasn’t an earthquake, it was kingpin fw his collider; THAT’S the one that brought gwen.
I thought that Green Goblin forcing Spider-Man into the collider is what brought all the Spider people here, and gwen got "thrown" into last week. So she was able to do some recon and sense Miles when he gets his powers. Tests are just tests that fuck with reality until Spider-Man gets put into the beam
the craziest thing about Doc Ock in this is that she knows people from different dimensions will glitch out and die if they stay in the wrong dimension for too long. she knows this and still tells Kingpin she can get him his family back.
Look at her positioning. At first, she raises herself to be on eye level signaling she sees him as her equal, and then as she says that she slowly elevates herself to look down on him signaling that she sees herself as superior to him.
Then there's also when she says "My collider" and when Kingpin says "Meet me at my collider" she retorts with, "Our collider!"
She's his Pied Piper and while he's the antagonist of the movie she's the villain of it.
44:38 its so funny watching Peni there because she doesn't have Spider powers to stick to the ceiling so she is sandwiched between them
Yeah.. when the mecha died/broken its so sad, cuz it was her father's creation, so basically it kinda feels like Peni loses her father twice😢
And in the sequel she got shinjified
A note on the animation! Miles was animated in 12fps until the Whats Up Danger/Leap of Faith scene when they smoothen out his animation to 24fps to make him look clunky at the start :D!
This movie and the game made me really love Miles as a character. I've heard about various BS they've done with him in the comics but it's whatever, as long as they keep him as he is in movies and the games then it's all super green.

@shiannesteele2191 during one run he gets Thor's hammer and apparently a part of Asgard becomes the hood version of Asgard. I heard that the phrase "By Odin's fade" was uttered at least once.

That seems kinda cool to me, I guess.
One thing I always respected about this movie was that it didn't make Peter B. a washed-up has-been hero. His personal life went down the toilet BECAUSE he was dedicated as Spider-man so it makes sense that, even if he isn't as fit and trim as in his younger days, he doesn't slip up (the glitching isn't his fault) and it still sharp and capable at what he does.
The thug with ice cream Spiderman tried to interrogate in Homecoming was Prowler. He mentions he had a nephew.
There was an after credits scene that introduced Miguel who is a big part of the sequel.
The movie was so freaking good , I wasn't expecting it to be this good but damn it was an easy 8,5/10

Perhaps you guys just cut it out in the TH-cam version, but if not. Then you missed the end/after-credit scene, also a message/quote from Stan Lee. The quote sounds/feels a lot cooler than this, but it basically says that anyone can be a hero, as long as they believe in themselves.
Miles Morales story line started originally in the Ultimate Spiderman Universe which is different from the normal Peter Parker Spiderman we normally see. Miles Morales debuted with the Death of Spiderman Comic Storyline which is what into the Spider Verse uses in this story. Which f you ever feel like ready Death of Spiderman was a really well done.

So it's usually MJ cause she's the more popular love interest for Peter. They went to high school together but he expands on that in college & meets Gwen there too.
Miles' love interest is Gwen first. With these 2 films though, not sure if they'll be endgame tho
Also the collider deals with the time space continuum, which OG Peter mentioned with Green Goblin. So Gwen literally got pulled into last week, which would allow her to be there before the collider went off that brought her there. So each spiderperson essentially time traveled & muliverse traveled.
