Very curious what range you attain and how much power that 8k hub motor really manages to reliably deliver... this is extreamly close to the 1985 VF750C build I want to one day do...
The 1985 VF750C looks to have a ton of space and would be a great cruiser after converting it to electric! Talking with the QS Motor company, I was told that I should get 62-74mi/charge at 40mph and 46-52mi/charge at 49mph. So this heavily depends on the speed I'm going, but I will definitely make a video on the data after some rides!
Instead of a 12v battery for your low voltage side you can just use a dc-dc filter to step down the voltage.
