- It's time to put on our tinfoil hats once again as we have another Bachelor conspiracy on our hands. This one involves Salley's engagement storyline that is highly suspect, Samantha the bubble bath lady from Night 1 who had a private self elimination that never aired, Cassidy's boyfriend back home and how everything is connected in order to make us feel like Clayton is the underdog of his own season. So join me in this completely un-satirical satire video that deep dives into how "everyone loves an underdog"... a Bachelor Season 26 Clayton Echard Conspiracy.

They wouldn’t have to manufacture a “poor, poor boy” narrative if they had just done a better job of giving him a great edit during Michelle’s season. The fact that they had already chosen him and they still cut out almost all footage of him leads me to believe he’s not a very compelling lead, not that he’s an underdog.

I live in the same town Clayton is from, and there seem to be quite a few women who claim they were having relationships, dates, or at least physical encounters with Clayton immediately after he came back from Michelle's season and then were dropped when he got "a job" the job being the bachelor.... this seasons seems like a powderkeg

Clayton must have done something to really piss off production. It's so obvious that they hate him. I mean, that clown scene from the end of last episode was soooooo awkward. They are making him look like a fool (literally). Also, most of the intro packages for the women seemed like such obvious acting reels. This show has gone off the deep end for sure. I really only still watch it for Bachelor Fantake videos. lol
I’ve only been watching Fantake for a couple seasons and not even watching the show anymore. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much. The show tries to take itself too seriously when it’s all a joke to everyone else. I feel like production needs to cast more people with interesting personalities that extend beyond insecurity and force less drama….

I don’t think production hates him but I think they know we would be pissed about him being the bachelor and they are playing it up.
Bachelor seasons have been absolutely terrible for multiple seasons in a row now. I just expect it to be bad. I’m not sure why it is.
In contrast I loved pretty much all of the past bachelorette and bip seasons.

Because EVERY girl is supposed to be totally in love with their bachelor. They already filmed one who was pretty drunk saying “I hate him” (btw I only watch BFT not the show but I know how sneaky they are…was she really even talking about Clayton for sure? Maybe it was an ex-boyfriend) anyway, to have 2 women not be into him night one would be a no no in their books.
Why did she have to delete that post? Because those behind the cameras a bunch of SCUMBAGS! They threatened those people who attempts to spill something behind the scenes without their consent because they didn’t want others to know how they are such horrible bunch of people.

they had ample opportunity to make us like him, literally all they gave us from michelle’s season was that scream from the viking date and “i want kids one day 😢” like maybe they didn’t want us to like him too much by not showing more but i don’t get how the she runners expected us to want anything from him
If you think about it, they would’ve never made this kind of “sympathy” edit for the bachelorette. It’s unfortunately a lot easier to push the narrative of sympathizing with a man because of his relationship struggles with women than sympathizing a woman because of her struggles with men. 😑

I dont watch the actual show, but I've seen enough bad acting to see how Clayton is trying not to LAUGH at the ABSURDITY of what the producers are making him say when he delivers that, "My first rose has been rejected" bit.

I actually really enjoy Clayton, wish everyone would give him a chance.
For whatever reason the reception Clayton has received bothers me. There is something so unfair about it. Mainly because his "criticism" has been totally untrue and just bullying. I believe that he's owed a big apology.

Everyone who is criticizing him unfairly my I add should go take a listen to the Happy Hour Podcast that he did. Nothing but an intelligent, well spoken man who really discusses his experience and how the negativity has affected him and in specific his mom. Be kind people. Very easy to judge as a viewer. Very different experience being the lead who isn't privy to everything.

@@MsDesiree39 It was not a diss on him personally, but production. He is basic, because that is what always gets picked. Raitings are low, because it's the same all the time, plus, there's been a lot of Bachelor content lately.
I know it's a business but these producers/people who are in charge need to be more sympathetic with the lead/contestants. They can still pull off drama but not to this point. While it's true that these people volunteered to be on the show they're still people like everyone else. C'mon! They can be both sympathetic and run decent business at the same time.

I speculate that the "underdog" tagline was an idea production had for Colton (Underwood --> underdog, kinda fits) that they didn't end up using so they decided to give it to Clayton even though it makes no sense for him XD or maybe as a joke about how similar they are

Not sure why so many people don’t like Clayton….? He seems so genuine and like a complete sweetheart…. and not to mention, very deserving of this. He seems very humble. AND…. we’ve only seen TWO episodes? Give the man a chance and stop being mad you’re not in his shoes. If you don’t like him, don’t watch and wait until next season.. common sense. You just simply not liking him(for whatever reason), doesn’t change anything, anyway.
At this point it's cyberbullying and I hope the show addresses it. The show has a broken fan base. Words hold weight. Clayton has literally not done anything wrong and people are judging him for how he breaths in air.
I don't hold any negative feelings towards Clayton, I hold them towards the producers for either 1. Not giving him enough screen time for us to get to know him. Or 2. Not picking a fan favorite who got a lot of screen time and who the fans are already invested in. I didn't like Matt James' season either because we didn't get to know him at all. He was hilarious on his social media, but the producers didn't let us see that side of him at all.

the only reason they picked clayton is bc the top four men were men of color and they didn’t want someone that looked like that on a season. It’s a crime shame we’re still dealing with racist production, racist show etc. it’s 2021 and people are still being discriminated against bc of the color of their skin… I’m tired of black ppl and people of color not being represented in this show, it irks me so much, I hope they do better but at this point, I don’t care bc if there not gonna create a space for diversity and inclusion then i don’t want to watch a show like that..
