I am usually that person that says this person will show redemption or this person will come off worse in BIP. I can’t and won’t vouch for Shanae right now. If Shanae steps on the island and sees Elizabeth and immediately apologizes (very first thing she does) and it’s sincere, that can be possible redemption. Ana got some redemption after accusing another contestant of being an escort. If Shanae takes her time in apologizing to Elizabeth, no redemption in my eyes!!!

And that is that Shanae needs to get in touch with Elizabeth do the right thing in private. Then if she does that and it doesn’t come off fake and forced then she gets an invite, needs to do it again.
cassidy really went on that whole ig rant and acted like clayton was a hypocrite for sending her home. But MAYBE he sent her home bc when she was asked straight up if she had a relationship and she lied to his face TWICE. if she would have explained that it was a casual fling, but not anything serious, maybe she wouldn't have gotten sent home. but instead, she lied about it, which I think made him ultimately decide that she belonged to the streets

First, she shouldn't be bragging about having a Friend with benefits with Sierra - a woman in the same competition as she is in, and then should have been straight when asked. What she did before meeting Clayton is not his business, but he made it his business by lying.
@@kamfisher1714 That's probably true, but the difference is that the other girls weren't lying to Clayton's face about it. She should've just been honest from the jump. It's not like having a friend with benefits is some huge crime, I don't know why she felt like she had to lie.

I'm just saying, if Clayton eliminated Cassidy just for sleeping with someone and no other reason, then I would have a problem with that. And maybe Clayton would've eliminated her still even if she did tell the truth, and that would be shitty. But that's not what happened.
After watching this episode, Clayton should issue an apology to all the women for believing Shanae over them.
Victoria during Matt's season was child's play compared to Shanao-no. She's so manipulative and bad and then gloat about it in her talking heads. in the words of Jean Ralphio she is "the wooooorrst!!"
Also in Matt's season you could tell he wasn't interested in Victoria and production was just making him keep her. But I think Clayton does have some interest/attraction to Shanae so he's taking her claims at face value.
You people really think the leads have much to say in villains script from production? They cannot repeat the same what was in Matt’s season, also Clayton season needed to be more “crazy” because of the all negativity so here it goes from production planning ..
I dunno, Victoria on Matt’s season was pretty bad. To me the villain role is way to produced now and it doesn’t feel as organic as some other bachelor nation villains. But really, it’s still no surprise they always have a woman play the manipulative, mean girl role.
@@spideysim3892 You're right. Victoria was awful. I'll explain what I mean. Victoria was selfish and so self-centered and lacked empathy that she behaved like a teenager wanting to get her way. But Shanae, man, she's bragging about pushing and doing whatever to "win". She's showed no remorse for making fun of Elizabeth's learning disability and even use it to attack her. He pretends to be a victim when she's the conscious aggressor, and for the cherry on top he plays Clayton and then celebrated about it in her talking heads. Her words show that her actions are very calculated. All that makes her worst that Victoria to me.

Usually the dinner dates look pretty tacky to me, but that Van Gogh backdrop and table setting was beautiful.
My top villains for this season were 1. Shanae and 2. Cassidy. However, Hunters ex BF needs to be up there. Who makes their GF or BF dye their own hair, lose weight and still cheat on them.
New list: 1. Shanae, 1A Hunters Ex and 2. Cassidy 3. Clayton for not seeing through Shanae and not trusting Elizabeth.

TPTB have encouraged trauma-bonding for YEARS on this show and it's always been unhealthy and fucked up; this "emotional void" date formula only makes it worse and grosser. It's literally no wonder that virtually none of these couples make it, the focus on "opening up" way way WAY before it's appropriate or healthy is nothing but toxic.
Exactly! It makes me feel sick watching it. It's like a forced help group. Do any of these people actually consent (other than signing a contract/waiver that's vague anyway) but actually consent day of or just feel like they have to do it to get it over with?
I felt so invasive just watching it from my TV. Only thing that didn’t stop me from changing it is that they at least held back some topics they went in too freely, and especially too early, in earlier seasons.
I've never thought about it like that before. It's so true! I wish they would extend the period of time these people have together so opening up can come more naturally.
I think thats a valid critique. I did like those scenes but did not think of it that way.
Also, imagine the pressure of revealing emotionally traumatic moments in your past in a literally competitive group setting where you WILL be judged based on your story relative to others.
Shanae is an extremely toxic and jealous, revengeful, childish, rude, poorly educated woman in this season, I hope Clayton could see the true colors of Shanae, she does not deserve to be there. Any man does not deserve such a woman like Shanae.

No joke I’m loving this season. It’s hilarious, ludicrous, and most of all just fun (and a bit infuriating) to watch. I’m not even here for the romance anymore because after Zac and Tayshia failed, I don’t believe in the "process" at all
I watch every season for the same reason. Stupid drama and all.
Only they need to change this villain script a bit, it’s too predictable and repeat itself every season. We (should) all know the lead cannot kick the villain out immediately but some other actions/scripts/characteristic need to be introduced.

@@annaozola5689 I agree with that, it’s so forced and so produced that it takes some of the intrigue for me out of it. I like mess don’t get me wrong but it needs to feel a little more unpredictable. Shanae legit just being there to play the villain is hollow.
The bachelor especially. Out of the 25 bachelor seasons only one relationship has made it to marriage and lasted. The other parts of the franchise have somewhat better odds but statistically it doesn’t seem like it works to find lasting love; just to create drama and entertainment

The only good part of the episode of last night was when Clayton took back the rose that he gave to Cassidy in the previous episode and then sent her home. The rest of the episode was totally cringeworthy because Shanae.
I've very uncomfortable with this trend we're seeing where intense vulnerability is encouraged and frequently rewarded in this franchise. We see it in this sharing circle group dates but we have also seen a LOT of this sort of thing over one-on-one dinners. Yes, vulnerability and communication are important in a relationship, but I worry that contestants are being pressured into being too vulnerable too soon and sharing things on national television that they aren't emotionally prepared to talk about. It also often seems like it's used as a way to push a relationship to the next level instead of the willingness to share being a product of the relationship reaching a safe and trusting place.

Like it feels like he doesn't actually have anything substantial to respond to what these women are saying, he just wants to make out.

IMO Shanae is much much much worse than Queen Victoria. At least Victoria was rude to everyone (not that I condone that). Shanae is rude but targeting (IMO) the sweetest person in the house in Elizabeth. Shanae is doing what she can to break (who she deems) the weakest person in the house and uses a condition that she has against her. Elizabeth is not only gorgeous, she has a good career, is first class all the way. Seems very considerate and happy for others. Shanae, that’s not being fake, that’s showing class. Plus Elizabeth doesn’t backtalk others, she back talks you but you have earned that right because you are a bully.
I am not one of these fans who when someone gets eliminated in the first few weeks says “X needs to be the lead”. Elizabeth is not going to finish in the top 10, but I really think she needs to be seriously considered as the lead. Shanae hopefully you are seeing the show and how you come off and I hope you learn from it and change your ways.
Shanae is acting, she is there specifically to play the villain.

@@kyliefewell6010 that’s a good point. Suzie is a fantastic choice for the lead (judging by what I have seen so far). I don’t agree with Clayton being the lead since he didn’t finish high and he got little screen time. I think if they have someone who didn’t finish in the top 10 as the lead, I’ll be totally down for Elizabeth (same with Suzie and maybe a few others).

Shanae is the worst kind of bully who manipulates and plays the victim while gaslighting anyone who she has gone out of her way to hurt. I feel awful for Elizabeth, can you imagine having one woman so obsessed with you that she’s fake crying and make up lies about you all the while making fun of your ADHD and refusing to even acknowledge that you have it. God I think Shanae truly takes the top spot as the worst villain along with Sydney from Peter’s season and the way that she zoned in and bullied Alayah into getting eliminated.

I mean, I’m a big fan of the golden age of reality tv like Rock of Love and Flavor of Love so don’t get me wrong I love the mess lol but I just want it to feel less produced.
