I was confused as to what this was so I googled it. On the Castle site, here’s the description: Young Once follows a diverse group of recent graduates from Christian college who are now navigating dating, marriage, debts, and career decisions against the backdrop of life in Southern California. This is probably why she said that her family & community are going to be surprised that she’s not a virgin on her one on one with Colton. Hometowns are going to be crazy to watch. Can’t wait!

Agreed with you guys! I believe that statement was unnecessary as her friends and family are old enough to reasonably consider that Cassie and Caelan Tiangan had sex with each other, and others they dated within an almost six-year period. She was playing coy with Colton for the cameras in making a statement like that. Just because you attend a Christian School doesn't mean you are a Christian, nor innocent either. Now I understand this season of The Bachelor more in viewing this show. Producers obviously vetted contestants, and saw an open door, a link, in aggressively pushing and overly hyping this fairytale depiction of demure Cassie, and virginal Colton, based upon similar lines, Bachelor Debauchery Nation brand style of course! " Let's create a new show featuring Cassie, a previous Reality TV performer and All-American college student, and The Virgin Bachelor, Colton, along the same lines as Young Once." In true, perverted Hollywood producer's, salacious style, they saw an l mock Christianity in a subtle and manipulative way. These leeches would love to hold the bragging rights about, two supposed Christian's embroiled in lust, Cassie, the non-virgin one, taking the "alleged virginity" of, again, The Virgin Bachelor, who is also coached by these voyeur producers, as the perverbial boy next door, All-American athlete..., turned womanizer. No one should subject themselves to the Bachelor Nation process, Kelly Ripa admonished Colton to that effect.
Well that's dumb as hell. It doesn't look like they graduated, looks like they're still in school.
And they aren't living "counter culturally". They just aren't drinking or having sex. . . . in front of the camera.
She comes off sooo young in this (I guess cuz she is) and between this and how she's been acting on Bachelor, I truly feel like she has so much life left to explore before she gets married.

Kelly Ripa said the same thing to Colton regarding his choosing the Reality TV experience to seek love and marriage. She's right. It's a lie to get fame, and to play the field. She told him that there were many beautiful women who were sincere and mature in her audience, moreso than he'd find by putting himself, an "alleged virgin," at the mercy of The Bachelor Nation franchise. Wise woman. Some people like punishment. Colton's already in mandatory therapy for damaged emotions... This time should be his for inner healing and discovery outside of the football field.

Worse yet, is behavior, such as the sexually exploitative way she was portrayed on The Bachelor, an area of immorality, it has caused some people, weak in the faith, to also turn to idols, i.e. the love of fame, moreso than a strong, visibly mature Christian relationship with God. It came across strongly in Young Once, to me, being older now, and out of college, that she was struggling with the Christian faith and her desire for fame, and how to maneuver by pleasing everyone and not "rock the boat." Fame is not wrong in itself, but the ramifications of chasing after it, and loving the attention, and perks of it, often trips the naive and unsuspecting up every time. Thus, we can relate to God, Caelan Tiangson, and others who have been out there and know the traps and perils first-hand. Alcohol consumption on The Bachelor, daily, in place of proper nutrition and adequate sleep, and being forced to work 18-hour days, per Nick Vial, on ET, is a major factor in the illicitly sexually exploitative behavior she displayed, and was coerced and manipulated into partaking in, in this highly edited, and perverted misrepresentation of true love, and truth. People have lost their faith, virginity, reputable reputations, etc., over worthless choices and fame, the love of the world. (Romans 1; 8-10). God is in control and the best way to get wealth, and love is to put God first and submit your whole life to His infinite goodness and mercy and grace! He will never sanction anything like this, The Bachelor Nation, ungodly mockery of love. Amen.

Who cares if Cassie was on this prior to bachelor. You can tell this show is highly scripted. Plus she had a life and relationship before Colton. Lots of the girls did. And Colton was also on reality shows (paradise/bachelorette) right before filming.. and he was also in a relationship. I believe they both are ready for something new now.

Cassie and Michelle looks very different than the Bachelor and after. As mentioned below, Cassie has no upper lip and her teeth look different. Michelle and Cassie may have had plastic surgery prior to her going on the Bachelor. In my opinion, I like how they both looked before going on the Bachelor and prior to changing their looks.

When we're confused, we can freely seek wisdom from God, by studying the Bible, fellowship with others in the faith who are mature Christian's, like the mentor that Caelan Tiangson had in Season 2 of Young Once. I applaud you for being honest and brave enough to say, "... I'm confused." They have a prayer link on the Castle Entertainment website... I practice asking God for wisdom and understanding, and guidance daily in prayer and meditation, and occasional fasting, like a Daniel fast for wisdom, or an emergency issue. I'm not sure I understand the timeline here. This was published while she was filming The Bachelor. So if this is "reality" TV, she hadn't been broken up very long with her old boyfriend. Also, why did The Bachelor say she was a speech pathologist and not a reality TV star? Makes me curious about her motives.
Michelle Tedrick it literally says (2016) in the title which means they filmed it a year before in 2015. And people are saying the same thing about season 2 but they started filming that in 2017 and they released it while she was on the bachelor I think they did because they’d allegedly get views which it terrible to do if they did.
Half correct... we filmed Season 1 in 2015 and released it in spring 2016. Season 2 was actually filmed in Aug-Sep of 2018 and released spring 2019.
I'm with Caelan about his concerns about her drinking. I don't see any long lasting benefits of drinking alcohol.

Now her stubbornness and misperceived notions of Caelan Tiangson not trusting her, and her having errantly believed and accused him of being "controlling," couldn't have been farther from the truth. She is quoted as remarking on having to figure out how to navigate through all of the portrayal and backlash..., but this is just the beginning, and a reminder for the Christian to be "Spirit-filled and warns of the dangers of "Carnal Christianity. Did we see Heather making out often and illicitly, or confirming to lustful persona, or even being filmed in Colton's bed multiple frames, groping and being gropped for her parents, and the world to see, not only to profane her witness, but to mock godly values, her Christian character, and her association with Biola University, a Christian school, not to mention this series. We take God in Spirit everywhere we go as Born-Again Christians. None of this undertaking was wise or worth it! Caelan Tiangson respected and loves her sacrificially, but she didn't seem to understand, and appreciate him or it, on a deeper level. Colton's consistently stated that he is going to back the producers and the network, no matter what, and that he is going to do whatever they want him to do. Sad. Please pray.
Isn't it a little hypocritical to say 'yeah, I was a big drinker in High school - but you're not allowed to ever get drunk'? She's really really young here and she wants to get tipsy every now and again then that's her choice - he can't control her. But I also understand he doesn't like drinking. The thing is, this is such an unhealthy relationship, because if she wants to have fun and get drunk she shouldn't feel guilt about that, you can't force your own morals on someone else.

Colton asked to know more about her, but she giggled it off, and all of these slutty looking, contrived make out sessions and fake news hyping this fairytale farce of a Colton and Cassie connection arose. Nothing is sacred, and they're going to use anything and everything against these participants in order to boost the brand exposure and ratings. Sad! She should never have done The Bachelor. Colton's in on the game, and I don't want to see her messed up.

For everybody questioning Cassie's intent between her relationship with Caelan and how that played out with The Bachelor, I recommend reading Reality Steve's Reader Emails. He explains how Young Once was filmed right before The Bachelor. Young Once would be airing the same time as The Bachelor, which is a strategy to attract viewers.
Caelan even personally went onto Instagram to share his thoughts on the situation and to clear the air "...I persistently pursued a reunion and she knowingly kept the door open at times because of indecisiveness, neither of which matters because it has been over for good since before she went on The Bachelor". He goes on to say "I wish her nothing but success and happiness moving forward. I post this because of the outlets who reached out to hear 'my side' and because I heard Cassie was receiving a lot of negativity for our past relationship".
