Everything about this home is beautiful and welcoming. The fabrics, art and furniture all work harmoniously together. The powder room is glorious and the chandelier left me breathless.

Elegant and cozy. I love how he mentions what paint colors he uses because I often wonder about that. The powder room had to be my favorite space if I had to pick. The beautiful lacquered paint and all the gorgeous art. The sink and the attention to detail everywhere you look. Wow. All the rooms were warm and inviting, artsy but not pretentious. Just loved this tour and the designer too.

I’m 4 minutes in and am thinking I need to live here. This home makes me so happy. And I’ve watched and loved many a Homeworthy episode!!! …but this is different. 😁I hope one day I will be that Grandmother with those unique and much loved pieces that move on to live a new life with family who remembered …

Loved this tour. And his sensibility- pulling drapes out of a dumpster, thrift shops, on the street…. Treasures can be found anywhere…. Just keep your eyes open ….great tip on the marble, soap stone remnants ….I will be doing that… thanks for the brilliant tip!

I really agree that patience is key when decorating a home. We bought our forever home 2 years ago. As we just moved from London we had literally nothing! The first month we got the bare minimums, beds, chairs, tables. For the next 2 years we barely bought anything at all. I was staring at the empty spaces and walls for a really long time and it’s now that I finally have visions of what it needs to be. It’s lovely to see it slowly come together. It really just needed time.
I love how his art takes center stage, the many architectural considerations, his choice of Farrow & Ball paints, his memories, the incredibly thoughtful ways he’s integrated the adjoining rooms, his thoughts on entertaining, his design references (still have all my Architectural Digests 1980s-2000!), and the patience it takes to wait for the things ones truly loves.

The drapery fabric he found in a dumpster 25 years ago are magnificent. I would have also climb in and pulled them out. And, yes they would still be somewhere in my house; forever!

The Chinese silk piece is fabulous and should be absolutely researched. Love the way the owner has mixed different styles especially using large paintings to give his home a very sophisticated European look. Sitting areas are well planned and comfortable. Every piece is well put together complimenting wall decor, lighting with different period furniture. His kitchen shows a lot of Italian flair. Just love his place.

Love the powder room! I actually painted mine a deep navy color with collected fan corals from our travels mounted in shadow boxes. My husband wasn’t too sure but when it was done he loved it. You are right it is the most visited space when having guests so why not up your game. Thank you for inspiring others to be creative!

Beautiful home for a beautiful gentleman. My only wish was that he had also shown the guest bedroom as well as his main bathroom. I bet his main bathroom is just as fabulous as the powder room. I just adore the way he decorated it with the lacquered green paint, the artwork and that bust in the corner.

So many ideas and/or words you used to describe your style and how you think through flow and function remind me of me. I have visualized furnishings, art, et al and the items have come to me and then some! Don’t think there is anything new (except mattresses) in our home! Oh that elephant table - just stunning. Love the art collection slash gallery walls. I totally agree, a bit of black and an animal print here and there always work. Loved the art wall with the old China cabinet in the kitchen. That gem of a powder room is fun too. It does look like it might feel a bit cramped and stuffed to the gills - but it is all well-loved and enjoyed and like he said this is where he experiments with his design ideas too. Overall I loved his place and his style. Great tour! THX!

Really lovely interior and the host as well. Understated class. I don't have a tv, but I like that he didn't "hide" his as many designers now do in a frame. I do have a record player and I instantly warm up to anyone who has it. This is one of those tours that I will be very happy to rewatch, it's so calming and I love all the little stories about the items.

Thank you for sharing the design tips of your exquisite home. It’s very endearing to hear how almost everything is so meaningful and personal.. such great taste.. I am a bit claustrophobic so the first part of the house, although very beautiful makes me feel very closed in because you can’t get a sense of the outside world.. but as you move towards the kitchen it gets a bit lighter and brighter which makes me feel more comfortable.. but that’s just my issue. Thank you again 😊

He also shared with us that he is Italian from Sicily. His home is small yet it does not feel small or cluttered. My favorite piece in the whole home is the black lacquered desk! It seems if one lives in New Orleans one must have this piece! I love the animal prints’ subtlety. They sneak up on you. Two French doors! I could live here!
