As someone who has raised many pups, from my experience their paws will grow until around they time they can walk confidently, so around 5 weeks. By then they're pretty much done :). This is based on small breed dogs though so it could be different for different sized animals.
I volunteered at a wolf center twice in the 2010s in Colorado. In retrospect, the place was kinda sketch. But the wolves were hella cool. Definitely still wild animals, though a few were somewhat tame.
Bro I love wolves, they are just big puppies (I know that's like not true at all and are not pets but you know what I mean.) They are so fckn cute ♥they are such cool animals and I'm really glad to see people will get to learn more about them because of this little guy.
People still kill wolves for fun. There are a lot of hunters out there that complain about fighting legislation against them yet they are supportive of hunting wolves for sport, "because they killed my cat" or "they would kill my kid if they got a chance". The hypocrisy is real. Hunters need to come together and condemn sport hunting predators.
@@moxbrokernot always, I still don’t agree with sport hunting predators, but I’ve heard some pretty bizarre stories, and witnessed one. Had a trip to a resort a couple of years ago with my family. A coyote busted in through a broken door, and won a match between a guys dog who was down the road in a timeshare. The guy didn’t press charges against the resort for the broken locks, didn’t even go to the news (I think he had something to hide idk, I was more scared of the guy than the animals out there) and his dog was licking its wounds, but was still fine. Mostly cosmetic damage. Sometimes animals be crashing parties and killing stuff. While that doesn’t necessarily mean retaliation, most of the time it’s the humans fault they were attacked in the first place. But, animals retaliate all the time. I really don’t blame people who end up doing it themselves, unless it’s for sport. There are stories about hunters who get attacked while hunting deer by predators, and end up tracking their attacker for a second round. Obviously on them for being out there, but not totally bad on their part.

People don't all live in cities, suburbs, and towns, ya know? Feral cat lol. No offense but you're super ignorant and so is this video to the disdain some have for wolves. Mostly hunters and farmers. Did you know Washington State culls entire packs if they kill a cow? Pretty gnarly huh? People don't know that. While I find it funny that city people chose to reintroduce wolves and aren't the people who have to deal with them, I don't mind them. They've actually improved elk herds in Idaho.
I had a wolf pup for a couple mounts had a blast with her she was a very fun loving pup loved attention playing geting hugest as well jumping up with her latest. On your shoulders and rubbing her head around on your neck giving love back she was smart knife the city made us give her away you was not aloud to keep them in town I felt like I lost my best friend 💔
Wolves were murdered into extinction where I live (NH), which is truly sad. The closest area with wolves to us now is Quebec. Luckily fish and game and other wildlife experts predict we may have wolves here again in the future. I hope if that is the case they pass laws to protect them.
i wonder if the person that named silas played the Quarry. 🤔 cause there’s a white wolf names silas in the game & that’s all i could think of lol that would be so cool if that’s the name inspo

0.1% of livestock is a pretty high number. First of all, consider all of the efforts the ranchers are putting in to stopping the wolves. Fences, dogs, cameras, moving livestock, treating animals that are hurt but not killed by wolves, etc. Then consider that they may have spent time and effort raising/feeding the livestock that has now been killed. Also, consider that farmers i am sure have a small profit margin, where if you take 100% of what they earn, most of it goes to pay off bank loans, repair equipment, etc etc, to the point where the remainder is just a few percentage points. so maybe their actual profit is only the last 3% of livestock and .1% of the livestock has been killed by wolves.
Lady kinda glosses over some of the “why ppl don’t like wolves” back in the day ppl had a lot more of their own livestock and wolves were always nabbing them. Also even today ranchers have issues with wolves targeting their herd(s) so their are legit reasons other than just “prejudice”. Most of us today aren’t ranchers but you’d like to see the “experts” give a real well-rounded explanation based on reality
@@tamba7055 easier and cheap doesnt make it any more moral or intelligent. And a fence is still better anyway. Americans really just like to kill things...or at least fantasize about it a lot. Agreed. Not true that they were killed just for "fun". I assume the pelts were of use and also protecting your livelihood. A caribou herder just can't build a fence.

ok ok i get the whole "you are more likely to get killed by a vending machine falling on you than a wolf" but you there right now sitting there go to the woods and find a wolf pack and pet one of them or go pet the nearest vending machine?

They're tame as pups, but once they grow up, those wild instincts go into full gear. Glad that your friend only got one nasty bite instead of many
They probably got a wolf dog. I about they got a wolf.
I was lucky enough to be able to pet a Timber wolf when I was a kid at our school a man brought in the wolf for education. This was 1975.
