It is really interesting to see how you introduce new ways ( cords attached to the wall ) to get your pupils to feel how the body needs to move in order to swing the club. This is the hallmark of a great teacher. If the pupil doesn't understand, is not the pupil, it's the teacher. I love your teaching.

Hullo I am douglas the 73 year old with marcus. I have not had time to practice or play since I got back from doncaster a week ago. Played today at ladybank; a tree lined golf course, which is used this year for the senior open qualifying. I have not hit a shot for a whole week but managed to hit all the fairways on the front nine but lost it on the back nine. I hurt my hip/back but looking forward to meeting up with marcus to pick up my grf kit on sunday as he is doing a roadshow at the st andrews co which is next to auchterlonies on golf place monday tuesday and wednesday.

This man is the best instructor out there. I'm from the US but I will be making a visit to the UK this Fall if they'll have me.

Each video contains iets own nugget of gold, even though the basic idea never changes. What I took from this one was the 1,2,3,4 at setup. One: right foot in front of ball. Two: small step left. Three: step right and backswing. Four: downswing and follow through. Prevents a static setup and feels really natural to get the swing started.
Would it be possible to apply the same steps to driver, although with a slightly larger step right? I am a bit injured at the moment, so I can't test it myself.

I have watched this video several times. I totally get the shift of mass in both directions and in a full swing I do it most times by instinct. In the short game I’ve never been comfortable with “ keep weight on left side” and the mass shift feels more natural. Any chance of a video on short game on the pros and cons of fixed weight v weight moves. Thanks.

great lesson trying to undo years of positional swing thoughts awsome the hardest thing is what i find is getting the head around how slow the swing feels but the distance increase

Seen him since someone recommended his videos to me but got to credit Bill Owens with the walking drill. Check out triangulaid and Golf Educatif. That's where I experienced the walking drill many years ago. My research has taken me into a very different place but I still credit Bill Owens and Stephane Bachoz with showing me the walking drill.

I’m confused, in all the previous videos I’ve watched you’ve said we should use pressure to rock the board, as this is much faster than using a whole body sway and it makes braking easier.. This video seems to suggest the exact opposite, or am I missing something? Thanks

This is working in mainly just one plane of motion (frontal plane) i.e. side bend and lateral motion. When you go to swing a club you naturally integrate transverse and sagittal plane actions too so it doesn't happen, feel or look like this 👍

This has been the biggest eye opener so far - so against what i am told all the time about not swaying and stable base - must admit played tuesday and thought about the target only and not the swing and the strike much purer and the draw re appeared.......

I should say I hurt my back playing golf the old way with far too much hip sway. Did DIY stuff I should not have done
