I hate the Tesla. I tried to take it back 2 days later and they won’t reimburse me not one red cent. It literally took me 4 hrs to get a charge. That’s because everyone in Az owns a damn Tesla. You have to wait in line to get on the charger and then the banks are all full and it took me 55 minutes to charge to 80% and $22.88. Not cool. Never buying an electric car. I’ve been driving for Uber 4 years. Given over 12k trips. This has been my worst experience.
Uber needs to show the trip details for every ride before you accept for EV drivers. Only way it makes sense. I need to know ahead of time how long the trip is so I know if I can take the ride or not.
don't do the $8/day it's a waste, people only do it because they feel obligated but I didn't do it and I'm saving ALOT the road protection is a WASTE of money, they are lenient on wear and tear
New to this so heres the deal , Im a true uber and lyft driver !!! I decided to rent a Tesla model three I was to under the impression that it wasn’t going to be more than $334 a week that was a lie adding the $75 insurance plus the hidden fees plus the charging which for five weeks was round up to $600 my statement was $2490 basically having to work seven days a week with the first 2 to 3 days going towards the payment and the rest was mine I did make a little bit of money managed to barely pay my bills then decided it was not for me paid the 2490.34 then Tried to get a loan for a Tesla model three unfortunately Uber is not considered income through the banks so my loan request was denied !! The car was great I loved it customers loved it I got tipped very well driving it but it felt like most of my earnings was going to pay for this Tesla for a rental company instead of myself when they break it down to you they make it seem like you’ll be able to afford to pay for the rental and get the car on demand and make money but when you look at the big picture you’re almost paying $3000 a month to drive a Tesla that will never be yours helping the rental company pay off for their car and make profit while you slave away 50 6070 hours a week totally not worth it at least in my city of Orlando so I decided to go to good old faithful Toyota dealership where already had went thru 4 leases and one purchase and bought a new 2022 toyota camry with payments of 623 a month , knowing what I know now , i sure miss the tesla , but i can double my payments on my new camry and pay 311 a week and pay off my camry fast and not have to work 7 days a week
I'm not sure if this is the best idea for Uber drivers the way I see it is I spend 42 dollars a day in gas driving 7 days a week that's 300 x 4 1200 and this is a 2016 Prius I think it's safe to safe I make about 2000 a week minus gas 1700 if I start to rent this Tesla I'll be making even less I hope people actually think it thru the rental weekly rental will definitely surpass the money you have to pay for gas as a Prius driver . Until I find out otherwise to risky for me even tho it would be really cool rolling around in a Tesla paying an more and the whole charging thing basically becomes a chore I'm good but good luck for those who chose to sign up🤙🏼
It’s worth it in my market but best thing to do is try it out for a week and see if you make way more I get way more tips being in the nicer cars and I’m able to do Uber select which is a couple bucks cheaper then Uber black in my market
@@laplebita510 i got rid of my gas car, sold it for a 7k profit, and renting the Tesla. I drive enough to pay for the rental fee and charging. I use it as my daily driver too. I have a full time job with full benefits so its worked out great for me so far
You forgot to add in insurance for your Prius cause you get insurance in that weekly price. The 8 bucks a day is for additional coverage. You also didn't factor in oil changes and maintenance on your Prius. The Tesla has 0 maintenance.
No. Only gets you “comfort” if you’re renting. If you OWN a Tesla then yes but you need commercial insurance; different plates, etc. every state is different.

At 450 a week for rental you could buy one cheaper I bought a 2022 model 3 long range with insurance it's only 800 a month

It does but it takes 24 hours so it's better to go at the super chargers
You can buy additional adapter for the mobile charger so it can work with 30 amp or 50 amp if you have available.
