Great overview! Something to note for those considering July luggage, their life time warranty is pretty robust. I reached out to them to ask if their warranty covers damage by airline mishandling and they responded With “ our warranty covers all damage no matter who damages it”. I own the carry on and checked plus and absolutely love both!

The internal bumpers on the other “essential” version are plastic rather than metal, which is what the reviewer said. Just pointing out in case anybody is in the market and wondering. I knew that going in and don’t find it an issue at all, just saying.
I love your videos. One suggestion, you should do favourite backpacks of the year, or favourite backpacks overall along with each backpack reviews, similarly for other stuff, be it sling bags, carry on etc. If you do favourite overall, it makes it easier for people. Lots of love❤

I almost bought the July Carry On last year but ended up going with the Away. I really like the color options July provides but Away had a physical store which I appreciate. I really love the Clay, Moss, and Yellow colors

Are the internal zippers also YKK? Or just the main ones?
Anyone know the specs of the battery pack? Would be great to know if the Wattage Output capable of fast charging say a laptop for instance? Anything 20w or above would be impressive.
Here I am with my cheap case (bought for 39.90 CHF in August 2012) used quite frequently for travelling. The outside is a bit beat up, but everything works just fine: the zipper, handles, retractable handle (I regularly lift the fully loaded case with the handle extended half way!). Either my case is better than other/new cheap cases or the expensive ones are heavily overpriced ;-)
I imagine, the markup is very high with the direct to consumer sales.
