    Often we hear that it is haram to live in non-Muslim countries and a famous hadith of the Prophet SAW is quoted as evidence, but what is the context of this hadith and does it apply to us? Can we live in non-Muslim countries or are we sinning? Listen to Shaykh Dr. Haitham al-Haddad explain the matter in detail.
    (English)
Lytt til Shaykh Dr. Haitham al-Haddad forklare saken i detalj.

      Nah he was biased. He took a hadidth out of context and he didn't explain to the fullest when it came to the ayat of the Qur'an. Just because he yelled haram haram haram like we're used to hearing doesn't make him right. If you truly want to know then please read the fatwas of true scholars. Like the famous and decorated scholars of the hanafi and the other mathabs. To sum it all up, the majority of the scholars agree that you can move to a non muslim country of you have the freedom to practice your religion freely and openly. Some say practicing the religion also means disapproving and demolishing shirk. If that was the case then there would have been people of other faiths during the golden age of Islam. Plus, the prophet Muhammad PBUH allowed some Christians to pray in a certain place which has historical significance in the Islamic history. I was informed about that hadidth not long ago but you can search it up since I don't remember the details of it's origins. But it was said to be authentic. I don't understand my own people sometimes. Someone who yells haram haram haram is considered right 99% of the times while someone who speaks valid points is driven out and hated upon. It's gotten to such an extent that Muslims think Islam has no flexibility, which is untrue.

And due to some new laws they may be sent to detention camp. I think for these Muslims it's better to migrate to Western countries like Canada where of course there qty is much less as they are in India but they are more safe.

Alhamdulillah Allah guided back to the right path, however before I was in all sorts of haram, my parents were astray, the whole family didn't know what islam was. It's a disaster for the religion and living here strips you of your identity. Everywhere you go you find a naked person, a gay person, a liberalised muslim who does riba. Brother May Allah SWT bless you and may Allah protect the ummah from this crisis on iman in the west.

    I put this comment without any disrespect as he has more knowledge than me.
    Not sure why the answer couldn't be as simple and straightforward as the question or as it should/could be.
    To me he's confusing the matter by simply twisting things.
    And I have never really felt comfortable by him overall ever since I met him when he was Imaam at Al Muntada in Fulham.
    The analogies given about Norway or India isn't really valid since if a person is native to those countries and there are no real threats to life or practicing religion then there is no need to migrate permanently.
    I think the question was simply asking: in light of the Verse, is it permitted to migrate to a non Muslim country.
    Prior to him, a guest Khatib at the same Masjid said the following (in brief):
    1. To start he highlighted all the various problems/challenges/obstacles we Muslims faced/facing/will face
    2. The he asked: why are we here or the others living in various non Muslim countries
    3. The he gave list of valid reasons to migrate permanently/temporarily:
    (In more or less the same order as said:
    * migration in the path of Allaah ie propagation of Islaam and even then one should not intend to go permanently (however I think there may be flexibility in this case)
    * if your life is danger and there are no options of going to Muslim countries.
    The following cases a person must intend and make all efforts to return upon completion of their needs:
    * studying and medical treatments in the situation of not being available in one's home land.
    * business, visiting etc.
    It seems that most respected learned people and Imaams will not say anything by which they themselves will be trapped and will not be able to remain permanently in non Muslim lands.
    Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`ala knows best is the best Disposer of affairs and I ask Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`ala have Mercy on me and Forgive me for any wrong comments.

    Did anyone else notice that he called Abyssinia a kafir nation? This is the same nation that provided refuge for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during the first Hijra. The Dr. is literally distorting the history to make the followers of Isa (the Negashi and the Abyssinians) and fellow believers in Allah (SWT) to be disbelievers. Also, he said Europe does not prevent Muslims from practicing their faith yet throughout Europe the call to prayer is widely banned with the exception of five minutes every Friday in Germany (under a two year initiative started in 2022).
    We need to be wary of Islamic scholars who equivocate or get defensive about this question when the Quran and Hadith are very explicit about this. Muslims must make it an obligation to live in Muslim nations. Scholars who downplay this are attempting to protect whatever privilege they derive from living in the west and they are misleading the ummah when they pretend otherwise. May Allah (SWT) guide us to be courageous in our Iman so that we can fulfill our mission to escape all truly kafir nations.

      @@jaggafeen No, it's not a pathetic excuse. There are certain Muslim countries who have more fitnah than some western countries. Try grow a beard in Morocco according to the real Sunnah and frequent daily the Masjid and see what happens to you. Try to say that the Mawlid is bid'ah in Morocco and see what's going to happen to you. Try to "enjoin good and forbid evil" or make Dawah to a person in Morocco and see what's going to happen to you. If you say that making hijrah is so easy and recommended, than give me a indefinite visa for Saudi Arabia in order to live in Makkah or Madinah, and I'd live there even as a destitute/beggar, water zamzam will suffice for me. you should only come here with the intention of guiding people, not staying here, for it is impossible to stay here and settle without falling into major evils and committing haram. Evils such as: riba, the western ideology, the western mode of dressing. The biggest evil here is the lack of islam and muslims, your iman will crumble if you're not strong enough. I see so many muslims here completely giving up and not upholding things which are fard. Brother you can't even pray on time if you're at a job here or at school, sometimes you're able to, but in my experience it's very difficult. It's a struggle to find a place, and if you do, there may be people there as well and they are typically engaging in immoral acts. SubhanAllah, I don't understand why a muslim who believes in Allah and lives and dies for yawm al-akhir would choose dar-ul-kufr. May Allah protect and guide us all

    Shaikh rephrased question wrongly. All major shaikhs say that muslims should not migrate to non muslim countries except for Dawah work, education or medical treatment. Those living in Europe or USA etc should try to go to their native muslim countries. Native people of Europe and USA who reverted to Islam are expected to remain steadfast because they left their ancesstors religion for Islam. But they too can migrate to muslim countries if possible. Majority of muslims are living there not because of oppression but poor economic conditions in their native countries and end up losing their Iman, just like UK prime minister Boris Johnson whose grand father was muslim and Hafiz ul Quran.

    The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent an expedition to Khath'am. Some people sought protection by having recourse to prostration, and were hastily killed. When the Prophet (ﷺ) heard that, he ordered half the blood-wit to be paid for them, saying: I am not responsible for any Muslim who stays among polytheists. They asked: Why, Messenger of Allah? He said: Their fires should not be visible to one another.
    Abu Dawud said: Hushaim, Ma'mar, Khalid b. al-Wasiti and a group of narrators have also narrated it, but did not mention Jarir.

    Following on from my previous comments, I don't understand why he is responding with asking about various countries ie UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, China, India etc etc is irrelevant because he is referring to those who are already natives of that land and so why would they leave their homes, lands and possessions which are dear to them as was Makkah to The Prophet salla-Allaahu alaihi wasallam.
    It's completely illogical.
    I think the question was referring to people living here who have come from various countries and are able to go back but choose to live in non Muslim countries under various rulings which go against Divine Guidelines.

    There was no muslim nation from the beginning. Muslims migrated from place to place and many other people in those places accepted islam and became muslims. You should be able to set up a muslim society in any nation when you are living there. If you cannot make a muslim society then it is your failure to introduce islam and spread it all over the place you are living. Evem Arabia was a non muslim country at the time of Prophet Mohamed, but later it became a muslim nation and that is the way to introduce islam to any nations you migrate

Sheikh answering some refference is not match with Questions. ( I’m subject to correct). The same question answered by Dr. Zakir Naik and the answer was according to the Quranul Kareeem. He didn’t use any Hadit at all. When Quran is enough for answer and explanation so why we will use the Hadit first? Quran is primary source after that if Hadit is matching then we will use properly and this is the beauti of Islamic Scholarship. If Hadit will conflict anyway with Quranul Kareem then ignore the Hadit source. Allah Knows Best.

      Chaz Dadkhah You are so insanely ignorant that it’s absolutely insane. Stick to your life and thank you for the advice.
      Being in non Muslim countries is halal as long as you can carry out your obligatory duties and it’s even recommended if you give Dawah in such countries.
      So why don’t you do some research before forming your own emotional opinion?

    • @leun6768
      @leun6768 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chaz Dadkhah It’s really funny how you are calling me a hypocrite when you are a hypocrite yourself. You are saying that it isn’t recommended to live in a non Muslim country? Then I would like you to research my claims. First claim: Its allowed to live in a non Muslim country if you can carry out all your obligatory duties. Second claim: It is recommended to live in a non Muslim country if you give out Dawah. How am I verbally abusing you? You can’t take straight facts? This conversation proves my statement - you are ignorant. You are ignorant about the Deen but you are also ignorant about me. You don’t know my life and my circumstances. What if I am a 13 year old girl? Do you expect me to leave my family, education and life and go move to a more Muslim country instead? You assume that everything is a dance on flowers. Add on: Notice how I said “more Muslim country” because to be completely honest with you there are no fully Muslim countries anymore. In Saudi Arabia you have clubs and alcohol served in some cities. That’s Saudi Arabia!

    • @leun6768
      @leun6768 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chaz Dadkhah Let me go back to your first comment as well. You said that “they don’t want you there”. Who are they? Are you speaking about the whole population or governors?

    • @leun6768
      @leun6768 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chaz Dadkhah I’m twisting my words right? This is taken from one of the most “strict” Islamic sources on the web.
      “The basic principle is that it is not permissible for the Muslim to settle among the mushrikeen if he is unable to practice his religion openly while being able to emigrate to a Muslim country. This is indicated by evidence from the Qur’aan and Sunnah.”. So if you are not able to practice your religion while being able to migrate then this is where it doesn’t become permissible. And you do the rest: research if whether it is recommended or not to live in a non Muslim country while giving Dawah. You are saying that I’m twisting my words which is no more than a lie, a clear trait from a hypocrite.
