Not a single comment in here about how most Americans hate fruit cake... and is generally considered to be disgusting.... you give it to someone as a joke gift or if you don't like them. Also, eggnog is very brand specific in terms of taste. You have to get the right brand to get eggnog that tastes good. (for west coast in the U.S. the brand to get is eberhard's eggnog)

They should make gingerbread houses with their kids! A gingerbread house competition against their kids. That would be hilarious. I bet that video would do really well.
Had to look up panettone, hehe. I am american, but dutch heritage. Isn't it interesting we keep our heritage around the holidays? We make banket (almond roll) and have smoked oysters (perhaps because we are from Freisian ancestry) as add ons to the Christmas holiday. They probably get good meat over there, but we have standing rib, prime rib. They would love that!
I loved the reactions to the eggnog, each of them had very different reactions to it. We get the same sort of reactions here, as with fruitcake. They are divisive foods.
I think it has to do with the freshness of the fruit cake, I remember a cook talk about how there actually a tast different between fresh fruit cake and the old ones. That why people have very differences experiences with them.
@@Underworlddream You're probably correct, but which is better? Fruitcake exists as a way to preserve nutrition for consumption when fresh ingredients aren't available. I would hope that it not only stores well, but perhaps improves with time. Or at least doesn't degrade too much.
@@umaiar improve over time would be like fermenting and for long storage you would want less moister. The fruit are candied or dried to remove anything that can turn bad. From what I remember they were made in the winter with ingredient that are dried and preserve sense back then they don't have fresh stuff. One of it benefit is that it can be store for long time but it taste will change but back in the old day you don't have much option.
I look at these men and I see a brother, uncle, father, cousin, childhood friend. Someone to enjoy, laugh with, break bread with. Thanks for the channel, really enjoying it!.
It was whiter & fluffier looking than applesauce fruitcake. I like the light fruitcakes but gave up making them in favor of pumpkin bread with walnuts and bits of dates.
Fruitcake is very dense and has a long shelf-life compared to a light, fluffy sponge cake. 100 years ago, it was a semi-popular mail-order gift in America. Need those red and green candied cherries to give it the Christmas colors (and to add that flavor many people find repulsive.)
It really is good cold, at least try it once. You never know. It looks like it was served at room temperature to them instead of cold. Some people add a bit of rum to the eggnog...I don’t and it doesn’t taste like egg, it has a sweet creamy taste to it or add a bit of cinnamon to it. ☺️
Eggnog needs nutmeg, sugar & vanilla in it to be yummy to me, and I don't mean that dreadful batter stuff, just only milk, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and raw egg beaten to froth then mixed in the milk. The fruitcake looked like light fruitcake which more people seem to like than the heavy dark fruitcake. Dark fruitcake was more popular 50 years ago & then somebody came up with the ideas of how to make it lighter with much less heavy spices.
I love and appreciate you all! Happy anniversary (in advance) Chaudhary!! Thank you all for the merry Christmas wishes. May you all be blessed 🧡 PS I don't like fruitcake, but can drink small amounts of eggnog. I have no great love for either of them honestly.

I would like to know more about their respective customs, foods, and the area of Pakistan in which they reside. I find myself watching the videos again and again.
Palate
Lmao ahhhh Chaudhry!!! Bless you my friend. Great video I love it
As an American during these trying times, this channel brings me daily slices of joy. Thank you all.
Happy anniversary Chaudhary! I say it in advance. I wish you and your family good health with lots of blessings. May you and your family have a very happy life.
Could someone please send these people a pavlova I'm sure that they would love it?
...and a happy Christmas to you, and all of yours!
“Eggnore it” lol 😂
Love their simple yet polite directness.
😉👍
Can’t wait until I’m over 40 to really get the maximum benefits of the eggnog!!!
you all are awesome. i love watching your videos you all make my wife and I so happy. always looking and waitning for the next
Just the thought of eggnog makes me gag, I really do feel his pain.
My heart is filled with joy when I see all of them smile and happy. Chaudhary's eyes and facial expressions make me laugh so much. I just love how expressive he is!! He is so sweet remembering his anniversary. You can tell he loves his wife so much.
'This eggnog is worthless' Agreed, sir.
binge watching these I've subscribed too love you all be safe be kind xx
Other classic Christmas food to try: panettone, yule log cake, pecan pie, fudge, gingerbread.
They should make gingerbread houses with their kids! A gingerbread house competition against their kids. That would be hilarious. I bet that video would do really well.
@@aggravatedHart I can imagine Tahir having a lot of fun with that challenge!
Yes ginger bread! Pumpkin pie!
As we say in America :may youe keep Christmas, the whole year 'round!
This is not "Christmas fruitcake". It's a "sponge cake with fruit and nuts". The two are completely different.
@old soldier that is more recent in the US. other countries the fruit cake is a more yellow or whiter cake
Yes this is not the fruitcake I am used to seeing. I can't stand fruitcake and wouldn't send it to my worst enemy. It's just torture.
@@MariOlsdatter1919 try those dried cranberries, craisins, in your pumpkin bread. Is amazing.
We have a lot to learn from them. They take joy in the simple things of life. They r such pure hearted people. Wishing them a long happy healthy life.
Chaudrey “eggnor .. ignore it.” 😂 I agree. Never tried it never want too 😊
It really is good cold, at least try it once. You never know. It looks like it was served at room temperature to them instead of cold. Some people add a bit of rum to the eggnog...I don’t and it doesn’t taste like egg, it has a sweet creamy taste to it or add a bit of cinnamon to it. ☺️
@@JMarieCAlove that does sound good I’ll have to try it like that thank you 😊
TAHIR you are the man ! what a wise and wholesome person you are.
Some people like eggnog some people don't.
The same with fruitcake.
@@karoberts2198, and some fruitcakes like eggnog, some don't.

Happy Christmas to you as well!
The fruitcake in the thumbnail & what they are eating appear to be 2 different things.
Someone send them some Claxton fruit cake!
The very best ...
Ella, my husband prefers the dark version.
@@jeanmartin5383 yeah, like Claxton's
*heads to Publix and prepares gifts*
I really love Claxton fruit cake and everyone thinks I'm nuts.
@@briannemurdock4183 You're nutty as a fruitcake ... 💖
And merry Christmas to you and your family's too!
Dark fruitcake was more popular 50 years ago & then somebody came up with the ideas of how to make it lighter with much less heavy spices.
homemade fruit cake that has been aged is apparently way better tasting then commerical made fruit cake
A plop of whip cream and or ice cream always a nice touch, over warmed fruitcake.
That was so sweet! Merry Christmas!
I love and appreciate you all! Happy anniversary (in advance) Chaudhary!! Thank you all for the merry Christmas wishes. May you all be blessed 🧡 PS I don't like fruitcake, but can drink small amounts of eggnog. I have no great love for either of them honestly.
