Oh yes! Bought this when I was 15 and I'm still playing it! When I was 16 I went and got a tattoo of a barcode on my arm cos of this album cover, I pulled so many birds cos of that tattoo back then!! 😆👊🏼
Tong, Cox, Oakenfold and Sasha. 1996, at college, driving to a partyyyyy in and old Fieasta (on tape) with this going. First time I truly got into house/Dance and 22yrs later have this on the ipod why? 'Cos it's the gateway to dance music across 4 mixes. Nuff said. Turn it up!
Spoiled we were…. absolutely ruined with good music, good clubs, good vibes… back then…. we could go to a sophisticated club night (Hard Times, Up Yer Ronson , Back to Basics) or a ‘rave’… Life @ Bowlers….. enjoyed it all…. 🧀👌
One of my fav essential mixes is Sasha 2000. I still remember to this day listening to it with headphones after a night out recording it onto mini disc.
Oh this has so made my Sunday !!!! @ James Brewer, my appreciation forever ! Haven't heard these 4 in years, ever since my CDs got stolen :( I guess I'll have to check save song by song for Spotify (no ads) and see if there're close to this mix.
Sasha always takes you on a journey. I remember getting this CD in the late 90s, just after I'd moved to London and was making new friends and hitting the clubbing scene. Such good times, it simply isn't the same any more, but no regrets, so glad I was in the middle of it all back then.
Iv'e still got the double pack cassette my wee sister bought me when it came out! Thanks for uploading this mate.Hazy,Crazy Weekenders & all that went wth it :-)
I had a promo cd of sashas which had the track I Lift My Cup-Glow Worm on it. It was probably the best set of sashas that I have ever heard, and some toe-rag nicked it from my bedsit room after a seriously awesome night on a red-dragon trip.
I can't thank you enough for uploading this. This was my favourite CD for years when I was a kid. Lost it and only just remembered it. Thought I'd google it and voila. You're a legend !!
My pleasure. Always makes my day when I see all the positive comments. Just hope TH-cam don't block it anytime soon like most of my mixes. Have a good weekend mate.

No, it's only 4 tracks for about 36 mins (fits on one side of an old 90min tape). Not sure if the BBC mucked up the recording and have asked this question several times.....it adds to the charm I think :)
