You said that you were wondering why it was cranking a lot but not starting, I’ve learned from generations on the farm to throw it into full throttle when cold starting and then backing down slowly
i am trying to find the rpm specs (idle & full throttle)for B&S engines in general and for a 12D105-0172-F8 eng specifically. In the governor section of the B&S repair manual it says the top no load RPM can be found in the engine replacement data on the B&S web site. I come up with zip. Any ideas? Thank you,
Hey I'm trying to figure out how to make my 25 horse v-twin ohv briggs and stratton motor rpms higher at full throttle and i was wondering if u could help me out👍
It's likely going to be either a tab that you bend or an adjustment screw you can turn. Not familiar with the V-twins but I would also recommend that you measure your actual RPM before you make adjustments.
The fuel shut off solenoid is the reason why you have to crank it so long.
@@craighanson2983 Why, because it is stuck closed?

I feel like the bowl drains somehow and the cranking is the fuel pump refilling it.

I'm surprised the manual doesn't have that spec. I have the flathead manual and it has those specs.

Looks just like my Allis Chalmers 616H except green.
Yes I also have a Deutz-Allis 613H which is the same as well. Your has a 16 hp Briggs twin. Only difference.
Smoke and hard to start. Adjust valves easy
It’s a flathead you can’t
