Adam, great advice in video. Time value of $$, I tell my kids a golf ball on a mountain rolling down hill will be huge when it reaches bottom of mountain. Gotta do it young, I did. Also, I have the same 27hp on a 252 and I have a small engine tach for same reason. I bought it but misplaced it and will set my replacement motor rpm when it turns up. Hopefully, hip pain’s down to a minimum. Thanks for the videos brother, keep’m coming. Fran
Adam. I can time my swing speed, but it would be faster than stock already with my smaller pulley so maybe not useful here. On another note, that machine you have there has had the jack shaft slid on it or the motor side jack shaft pulley slid. Happened to me too, I now dimple the jack and cutter shafts under the set screws one at a time after getting everything perfectly straight and lined up. Lock tight too of course on that last round, one at a time. Worth it if they’re not in there with red lock tight already.
@@mustangrebuilder came about about 2.6 seconds on average full rpm on my machine, no load, wheel off. Course I typically can’t grind at that pace unless it’s mostly dirt between stumps, but you knew that. I’ll send ya some screen shots of my timer and a video later via email, or put one up. The video I took this time probably not useful to the masses so I’ll likely just send it your way and feel free to do as you please with it content wise(if you want to make a comparison or something).
Hey Godfather thanks for the info on that rpm tool, I may be looking into a used one depending on work but I think that tool would be great to at least make sure she's running right and also have you used this on chainsaws or is that too small ?
My machine has a built in RPM.. Some wood cuts better at 3600 some a bit slower, but keep in mind the higher the rpm the more you need to listen to your motor. ALSO, check the valve lash on your valves. I can guarantee you if they are out of spec and you run high rpm then shut down quickly you will throw or bend pushrods. Sound advice on the RPM meter. I wish sucks !
@mustangrebuilder Yes and tryed it every were else to Still won't start with tach wire touching the plug wire any were Take it of and it start straight up
Good reminder about doing and not just wishing.
I loved the doer's vs the wishers. Solid Advice!
Compound interest that's what it's all about
Good advice to the young generation. Nobody is going to give you anything get out there and earn it. Keep up the positive videos.
I appreciate that
What a great advice for the young and even the old.
Wishing is fruitless. Doing is getting it done.
