I literally cried!!!!! I’ve played sky clooper since it first came out, and now I’m 25. I just can’t believe how much time has passed. This game series truly gives me the utmost nostalgia 🥺🤍✨🥺, thank you sly...for everything!
28, just got PlayStation Now so I first replayed all first 3 games and now playing 4, just paused here to take a break and wanted to see people's comments on youtube about the game cause it does feel different( more detailed models, textures, and new stuff, so it's gonna get some getting used to, the nostalgia makes me feel weirded out but at the same time I can tell this looks so much better).
To think, this game ends on a cliffhanger with a strong possibility of another time travel theme or something for the next game... And yet no amount of time travel will get us a new game.
I would love to see a Sly 5. I don't think we will ever get one, but I would just love to see one more game to finish up this storyline and after that I would be okay for the series to end.
Since Sucker Punch is busy making Ghost Of Tsushima, i hope their next project is Sly Cooper 5 for the PS5 since y'know they both have '5' sequel for the game and console
The Sly Cooper franchise was so awesome! Visually beautiful and so fun to play, it has its own identity. It should be brought back, either as a Remake or a brand new installment!
My uncle got me into this series when I was a young lad and it honestly is one of my favorite lowkey series that I wish got more attention. So much life and character to it. Plus the artistic choice is so memorable. Maybe it was just the thought of a raccoon doing what I always imagined they'd be best at was what got me to love this series even more.
Seriously the sadist thing is that the game is gone with sly, all these years and nothing to continue this legend..... I am LITERALLY bawling tears of grief and anger.
I like at the beginning how sly says “Ig ima little out of practice” while referring to the fact that’s how long it’s been since a sly cooper game was released and also a nice attention to detail with the first introduction of environmental reactions 💯👌🏾
I have no idea why fans hate on this game. As much as the original trilogy is nostalgic to me, this game is the best out of them all. It takes the best aspects of 2 and 3 and mixing it up while keeping the backbone of the franchise the same. I love it.

This game was my introduction to the Sly Cooper franchise and I have since gone and played the first three games and absolutely fell in love. I am sad however that my PS3 won't play the disc anymore and I really want to look at all the hidden messages now that I get them.

I think this isn’t a bad follow up; it’s actually really good. I also think it’s interesting that the first, second and last game starts in Paris, and the second, third and fourth end in Paris. It’s also interesting that their hangar in the third game has the French flag, not the US.

if another game comes out i wouldn't make it to where sly gets to come back to the present right away, i'd save that for closer the middle or end. you just know that an accident like that would forever change our favorite master thief, so much of the story would likely be about helping him learn how to control his new abilities (given that in the first game he had some small control over time and in this one he has an outfit that grants him even longer slowed time, probably wouldn't be too weird for him). he'd have to slowly work his way back through time trying to no disturb history anymore than it already has been, while he's doing that you'd have missions as bentley and murray to try and steal some parts needed to make a machine to help find sly so they could retrieve him. eventually sly would make it back and honestly i have no idea where it would go after that (partly why i'd save it for the end). maybe if it were in the middle they could have some kind of boss to face for the ending... but honestly if the whole game showcased how capable each member of the cooper gang was without them being a trio... i'd find that kinda interesting.

It's was one of my favourite franchise in video games along with Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Mario, Zelda and Halo (1,2,3 and Reach), and a bunch of other games. :)
I could imagine that, on Sly Cooper 5, more of Sly's ancestors are voiced by familiar voice actors, like Henrietta "One-Eye" Cooper was voiced by either Debi Mae West or Shawnee Smith, Slai Cooper was voiced by Billy Connelly, Huckleberry Cooper was voiced by either Jeff Foxworthy or Larry the Cable Guy, Slytunkhamen was voiced by Arnold Vosloo (due to his role as Imhotep from "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns"), Thaddeus Winston Cooper, III was voiced by John Cleese, you name it.
I do like how this one feels more fluid with its traversal. Feels less like you're "snapping" to a spot and more like there's momentum in Sly's acrobatics.
Every part of this game is funny, from El Jefe's perversion to Murray's battle with that pompous, wannabe artist, the Grizz. I take that back. Sly's Italian accent was funny, too.
oh my god. I remember getting this game for my 9th birthday, and playing it over and over. I must have had 20+ completed save games. it never got old! i'm now 18, and my PSvita i played this on has long since died, but sometimes i wish i could pull out my old PS3 and replay this game, just for 9 year old me.
I honestly don’t understand why ppl don’t like this game when it really feels like the natural progression of the Sly games. I really didn’t expect anything more when this game came out and it didn’t leave me disappointed. I’ve heard ppl say they hate how Sanzaru made Penelope a villain. I honestly don’t care, yea she was a likable character in 3, but I like twists in stories and there’s always opportunity for her to redeem herself in the future(provided there is one). Some also said that the time travel thing doesn’t make sense. Well, now those ppl have seen Endgame and are singing a different tune, so there. What else? Too jokey? Sly’s world has always been filled with comedy, where have you been? I think whoever Sly is run by cares about the character deeply, so even though Sly’s creators aren’t making his games anymore, I love the characters enough to see where anyone will take them. I want more games and I want that movie!

Of course it was personal for Bentley, but it was especially personal for Sly because Penelope was once his friend and partner in crime, but seeing her break his childhood friend's heart the way she did. It was at that moment that Sly was determined to stop her at any cost.

Hey guys I just realized that from sly 1 all the way to sly 3 he just began to do higher in the air things more often and becomes a bit of an amazing flyer for a reason.(I will let you all digest that)
I hoestly don't remember a single thing from this game except you travel through time, and there was a guy who planted paintings and then dug them up in the present. Sly cooper 2 and 3 however, are so nostalgic. Shit I've completely forgotten about these games for yeaaaaars
Even if the ending of Sly 3 was fitting and tied up the trilogy well I still did enjoy Theives in time, as different as it was from the originals it was also similar and had some awesome boss fights

One of the best games that I've played, I wish the franchise comes back someday
My uncle got me into this series when I was a young lad and it honestly is one of my favorite lowkey series that I wish got more attention. So much life and character to it. Plus the artistic choice is so memorable. Maybe it was just the thought of a raccoon doing what I always imagined they'd be best at was what got me to love this series even more.

I have no idea why fans hate on this game.
As much as the original trilogy is nostalgic to me, this game is the best out of them all. It takes the best aspects of 2 and 3 and mixing it up while keeping the backbone of the franchise the same. I love it.

This game was my introduction to the Sly Cooper franchise and I have since gone and played the first three games and absolutely fell in love. I am sad however that my PS3 won't play the disc anymore and I really want to look at all the hidden messages now that I get them.

I think this isn’t a bad follow up; it’s actually really good. I also think it’s interesting that the first, second and last game starts in Paris, and the second, third and fourth end in Paris. It’s also interesting that their hangar in the third game has the French flag, not the US.

if another game comes out i wouldn't make it to where sly gets to come back to the present right away, i'd save that for closer the middle or end.
you just know that an accident like that would forever change our favorite master thief, so much of the story would likely be about helping him learn how to control his new abilities (given that in the first game he had some small control over time and in this one he has an outfit that grants him even longer slowed time, probably wouldn't be too weird for him).
he'd have to slowly work his way back through time trying to no disturb history anymore than it already has been, while he's doing that you'd have missions as bentley and murray to try and steal some parts needed to make a machine to help find sly so they could retrieve him. eventually sly would make it back and honestly i have no idea where it would go after that (partly why i'd save it for the end).
maybe if it were in the middle they could have some kind of boss to face for the ending... but honestly if the whole game showcased how capable each member of the cooper gang was without them being a trio... i'd find that kinda interesting.
Liking the idea of it. In Sly 2 they kinda showed the potential of it when Bentley went solo in busting Sly out of the hole.

It's was one of my favourite franchise in video games along with Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Mario, Zelda and Halo (1,2,3 and Reach), and a bunch of other games. :)

I do like how this one feels more fluid with its traversal. Feels less like you're "snapping" to a spot and more like there's momentum in Sly's acrobatics.
Every part of this game is funny, from El Jefe's perversion to Murray's battle with that pompous, wannabe artist, the Grizz. I take that back. Sly's Italian accent was funny, too.

oh my god. I remember getting this game for my 9th birthday, and playing it over and over. I must have had 20+ completed save games. it never got old! i'm now 18, and my PSvita i played this on has long since died, but sometimes i wish i could pull out my old PS3 and replay this game, just for 9 year old me.

I honestly don’t understand why ppl don’t like this game when it really feels like the natural progression of the Sly games. I really didn’t expect anything more when this game came out and it didn’t leave me disappointed. I’ve heard ppl say they hate how Sanzaru made Penelope a villain. I honestly don’t care, yea she was a likable character in 3, but I like twists in stories and there’s always opportunity for her to redeem herself in the future(provided there is one). Some also said that the time travel thing doesn’t make sense. Well, now those ppl have seen Endgame and are singing a different tune, so there. What else? Too jokey? Sly’s world has always been filled with comedy, where have you been? I think whoever Sly is run by cares about the character deeply, so even though Sly’s creators aren’t making his games anymore, I love the characters enough to see where anyone will take them. I want more games and I want that movie!

I hoestly don't remember a single thing from this game except you travel through time, and there was a guy who planted paintings and then dug them up in the present.

Before Kungfu Panda, WE had this Masterpeice.
Even if the ending of Sly 3 was fitting and tied up the trilogy well I still did enjoy Theives in time, as different as it was from the originals it was also similar and had some awesome boss fights
ultimately the gameplay is the best part, art style is different but personally i think it's even better than the other 3 games
