Even the Hobbit trilogy was fun, flawed as it was. But yes, I'm not sure there is a trilogy that is better than LotR when taking all three into account.
Best saga for sure, with Episodes 2 to 6 in Machete Order a close second. I don't think LOTR can be rated as best movie trilogy though, because they aren't really a trilogy. It's one giant novie. I'd say in a true trilogy each movie has its own story and it's own beginning, middle and end, whereas with LOTR each film doesn't stand alone as a story. They're each just a chapter and if you only watched one and never even knew the others existed, you couldn't say you'd watched a complete story. I don't say that as a criticism, because I love them, just an observation.😊
"Aragorn" is still incredibly handsome, "Galadriel" is still really elegant, "Merry" and "Pippin" still adorable mischief-makers, and "Frodo" still has the One Ring. 😅
Man this hits differently 💔😢 I could rewatch this over and over. We did live in some beautiful times back then. Good well written movies with beautiful casting and great acting.

I find myself extremely thankful that all six movies were made. It is amazing that such cinematic excellence was achieved. I have watched those movies more times than I dare try to count, and I will watch them til I sail off to the undying lands.
I was 10 when fellowship came out. The LOTR trilogy was a moment. A real moment. Like The Godfather in 1972/1974 and Star Wars in 1977/1980/1983. Those 3 years felt like a special moment in history, and we were all so exited. Yes, there were the prequels coming out as well, and I can’t say I don’t have a nostalgic bit of love in my heart for them, but it wasn’t the same as LOTR. I’m in my 30’s now, married with a child of my own. He’s too young now to see movies, but it won’t be long before he’ll be old enough to watch these films, and hopefully, feel a small piece of what my wife and I felt as kids. I’ve been a Tolkien fan since I first heard a book on tape of The Hobbit in 1999. I watched the 1977 cartoon the following year, and read the book.
God it makes me feel so old. 11 years old when I went to see it at the pictures and it feels like it was only yesterday. 11 years old playing with me Lord of the rings figures and the games etc. now I’m 34 and got kids!! Makes you feel like life’s far too short to worry about sh*t. A lot of these brilliant actors have passed away.
I feel you! Time flies by so fast. It's wild how these movies have been a part of our lives for so long. And yeah, life’s too short to sweat the small stuff. Let’s cherish the memories and the incredible actors we've lost. 💖🌟
