I got a 1980 CR80 engine in a trade and I’m interested to see why it won’t spin! Today I’m going to tear it down and get to the bottom of this mystery motor!
Sorry to disappoint you, but I will not be doing a vintage CR80 restoration! However, this sweet ol girl is gonna fund my 1994 Honda CR250 project!
Let’s see what’s going on inside this motor! Enjoy!

1984 CR 80 is my favorite, my buddy had one and it was just so cool, that 97 is very awesome as well.

Those cr80's are fun. I have one cr80r 80 or 81. The gearbox, clutch and crank fits in the Honda mt/mb50cc block. The cylinderkit will fit with some welding & modification to the 50cc engine block. 👍

Cool fact about these engines. The transmissions in them are able to be swapped into the Honda MB5 engine to give it an extra gear. Unfortunately they are hard to come by.

The MB5 engine is hard to find or these old CR80 engines? I just sold the whole thing for $100 😂 whoops

@@jimmy_dirtbike Both are probably as hard to find in the US. But mb5 block is harder to find than mt5 block since the mb block usually dont have the extra mount in front that the mt5 block has. (Im from sweden so grammar might be bad.)
