  • A Mental Health Care Plan is a structured plan for people with a diagnosed mental health disorder. If you have mental health issues, talk to your local GP about developing a plan for you.
Your plan will identify what type of health care you need, and spell out what you and your doctor have agreed you are aiming to achieve.
It also may refer you to local mental health services where a Medicare rebate may be offered.

How does a GP charge me $150 for a MHP includes a simple fill in questionnaire, a brief discussion and a written referral to psychologist- everything plus paperwork completed within 20-25 mins? How can anyone retired afford this ? And we all wonder why we are reluctant to visit Dr until things are really difficult?
