I've never heard about chickens drowning in rain. Turkeys, sure, but not chickens.
I had to round up chickens during a hurricane once, they didn't seem to mind how bad the weather was getting. Never really thought about that in regards to this myth until now. It's kind of funny in retrospect.
This reminds me of the time my Dad told me about his grandmother, who apparently told him that a lot of the turkeys she had, looked up in the sky while it was raining one day and drowned. Now I wonder if it was maybe something else that killed the turkeys at the time, or maybe turkeys aren't as well-equipped to handle the rain as chickens are? I'm not sure. Either way, super interesting video!! Thank you, as always!😁👍
one time I saw a post on r/kidsarefuckingstupid some dad didn't know how to explain to his toddler that "chicken the food" and "chicken the animal are one and the same.
Mine don't lol they are in rain all the time. And they are good with it. Even try to stay out of it when they can.
