    Chickens lay so many eggs because they know if they don't lay enough then they go to the chop or because they want tools to break out of the farm.

    One of our chickens was missing for a while. Finally found her when I heard an ear-shattering cluster of high pitched chirping and found she had hatched FORTY chicks. The amount of eggs being laid had seemingly decreased around that time too, so it suddenly made sense. She was hoarding them all and they all hatched!!!

    Interesting video! My family tried to raise chickens before, but one group of hens we had (seemingly) did not lay any eggs at all, even though we had them for at least a year. To this day, I am not sure if maybe there was something wrong that we weren’t seeing that prevented them from laying eggs, or if snakes were coming to steal the eggs before we could get to them, or something. It’s strange because the group of hens we kept before them laid eggs just fine.🤔 Either way, it is always fascinating to observe animals and learn more about them.💗

    Rabbits are so cute. But here in Australia rabbits are actually illegal to keep as pets ($71,000 fine!😆). As they're considered a pest that costs our country 200 million per year in environmental costs. I get it, but I do miss seeing them as a kid.

  • @phantomstrider
    @phantomstrider 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I never realised budgies and parakeets can mean same thing. We have alot of budgies here in Australia. Parrots are my favourite pet but a happy bird is a loud bird, and that never really worked for my insomnia in adulthood lol. Ringnecks are my favourite parakeet. They're beautiful and they can learn to talk which is fun.

    Interesting! This reminds me a bit of the time I ALMOST got spit on by a llama.😅 It was at a petting zoo with a llama and a little herd of goats. Everyone who went into the petting zoo was given a brush so we could brush the goats. But zookeepers always warned to never brush the llama, or you would get spit on😰 Great video!

    It makes sense that moles would not need keen sight as much as many other animals do, due to their environments underground.🤔 I’ve see a lot of underwater creatures that are the same way as well; I went to an aquarium once that had fish adapted to dark underwater environments. I do not remember what the fish were called off the top of my head, but I remember that they were very light in color and had no eyes at all.

    I used to think they were the same (like a pony was just a young horse in the same way a Joey is a young kangaroo and similar examples that elude me at the moment), but when I learned that the offspring of a horse and pony is a sterile mule because the DNA is compatible enough to cross breed but not so compatible that "it's the same animal," I learned they were different.

    Geese have mamel like poop logs (it's not just a liquid spash like other birds). They also poop exclusively where people walk (maybe not really, but I only ever see their poop on pavement and walking locations, never off where people don't walk). If that's not jerk behavior just to spite human I don't know what is.
