Literally the only disney adaptation villain done right. Cruella was the only OUAT villain that didn't have a sob story and was a villain through and through. (well if you consider her being a psychopath since childhood a sob story then i guess yeah she also has a sob story).
If you seen the other trailers and tv spots, heck even this one. You should know by now they aren’t going for the maleficent angle. This is an origin (prequel) that sets up the 101 Dalmatians starring Glenn Close from the 90s, not a reimagining like Maleficent, Aladdin, Beauty And The Beast, and Cinderella.

Would be a little odd to say Cruella is a prequel with that inconsistency. Unless Cruella knows "two" Anitas, which is a whole other kettle of fish. That said, I won't be surprised if there's an epilogue at the end where we have Glenn Close reprise since she is an executive producer.
Jenny Beavan is the costume designer for the Cruella movie (the same costume designer behind the terrific Oscar-winning costumes for Mad Max: Fury Road).

Sia just imitated the idea of black n white hair. Cruella is the first who had that signature style since 101 dalmatians year 1961, it's just that this hairstyle is underrated, but because of this film, many people would actually do that for halloween parties this year.

The 90's live-action version as well as its forgettable 2000 sequel were crap, but Glenn Close's portrayal of Cruella De Vil on that movie was one of the highlights.

Yes! If this goes well, this will be the only Disney live action done right, my expectation are high but the bar is low because, this is a live action Disney villain and Disney doesn't have a good record with live action. I'm looking at you .Maleficent
Disney tends to have a mixed track record for live-action adaptations, given the fact that it was Tim Burton who started the live-action trend with Alice in Wonderland. Recently, Mulan and The Lion King remakes were an utter travesty (with the former being that offensive and controversial).
I hope they make her full villain, irredeemable, like OUAT, we don't need another Maleficent situation

Even the Maleficent in OUAT is not a full villain since her only motive is to find her daughter
I have to be honest, the fashion and esthetics in this movie area already incredible. We’re in for a treat.
