Note to future Harley. Just offer 2 versions of most bikes. 1. Chrome. 2. Black. What’s with the freaking mix and match of chrome and black. There is the special, but c’mon $5k for blackout kit, seriously/ There are people who love their chrome, and then there are those who prefer blacked out look. Engine is so much easier to black out before it’s put on the bike. :) Other than that, your battle donkey will look awesome. I have to drop the engine out on my VROD Muscle to black it out.

As for doing individual videos to promote the sponsor, I think is a good thing, it keeps the sponsors happy (without them it would be hard & expensive to make a series like this) and we the viewers get to see more great videos. Keep up the great work.
There’s a reason the mile mark services cost more. If you know what to do and how to do it GREAT otherwise take advantage of techs, warranty and liability. If you mess it up it’s tough luck, if they mess it up not so much 🤘🏻

Thanks uncle Ken. I realized that after I finished the video. I stopped part way through. There were a few powder coaters in my area the used to media blast chrome but they don’t anymore.
So, I have an M8 in my Road Glide 2018. Still under warranty, runs great knock on wood, doesn't use much oil at all, etc... While still under warranty, is there anything I should have them do or look for to fix before the warranty is out? It's the extended one thru HD I bought the best one. It's the 107 and has about 9k on it.
I see you put on a stage 1 but did not mention remapping your computer. Did you use fuelpak? I was told by my dealer that HD in the last week or so sent out a mail to all dealers that as soon as that happens you void your powertrain warranty. This under pressure from the EPA. Has your dealer told you something similar?
watched all the way to the end, I'm old the only hashing I'm doing is from the waffle house and that's scattered smothered chunked and topped great video and hoping that the missing O ring is from the front side of the bike and didn't find its way into the open pit of the transmission

not sure if its been asked yet without looking back through all the comments, but, how come you didn't powder coat the push rod tubes when the rocker boxes were off?
@@stratosjeff7007 I dont know the specific details but Dave said it's quite a bit more work. If we were doing the cam then it would be no issue (which means that they will be going black after stage 2) But to do all that work for black push rod covers wouldn't be worth it. Plus if you look at all the specials, they too have chrome covers lol

Tell us the Total Summed Retail Price Cost of your Multiple freebies. Or won't your sponsors allow that? It's one thing to watch and appreciate your vids (I DO)....but if reality is a total investment of $35K modding 25K bike, I'm thinking viewers would like to know.

Iron and silicone 🤘🏻 sand blasting is fun but it’s wicked dirty. Gotta air blast it and wash it, then air last again. Still it’s messy stuff.

How does your powder coater remove the chrome? All the ones in my area won’t touch chrome parts because the chrome has to be chemically removed.

1. Push rod covers shouldn't be powdercoated
2. You'd have to do a whole lot more work to get those off besides just removing the rocker boxes.
