You are the only channel that touches on every basic part about bikes in detail and easy to understand. Apart from being a bike enthusiast I love to know all the knowledge in relation to bike and your channel has helped me immensely
Just because a tube is a different shape from one end to the other, doesn't mean it's hydroformed. There's other methods to make the tubes look that way. I'm not saying you are wrong, but I'd like to see the build of this bike to see if it is infact hydroformed.
Annealed material is a pre - requisite for hydroforming to work well . Sometimes the oil pressure in conjunction with an expandable die are forced into the end to be widened or flared out . Diminished wall thicknesses are a downside as well as ride "harshness" in some bicycles . My Giant XTC 26'er is heavily hydro formed and is harsh but responsive however compared to my older traditionally tube shaped Trek which has in my opinion , a more pleasant ride feel .

I heard a brief description of how hydroforming is done in ths video, maybe you switch off too soon..
NOT an EXPLANATION of hydro forming. Just a guy pointing to different shaped tubes and making it up as he goes.

"No hydroforming in 1998" - My 90s Klein would beg to differ. :)
So would my Merida Matts Pro, with a shotgun tubing profile.
Terrible description, no pictures or video.Phoned it in today eh?
Orbea Occam is prime example of hydro forming
I have a Cannondale F1000 made in 1997. It has a tapered tube.
Tube "REELING" process .
