Excellent nutshell description of meditation, it's benefits, uses, etc.
This brief film at least should be shown everywhere, schools, classes, etc.
I've studied the research of Meditation for years. Benefits are unlimited.
The brain is regenerated and strengthened and rejuvenated.
Some Asian countries have had profound benefits in prisons where everyone does mediation and qigong everyday. Changes that would shatter the status quo of the horribly ill run prisons in the USA.

Love,Serve,Meditate and Realize. Four steps. The Meditation is the third step.Love=Bhakti,
Total surrender without reservation.Automatically service or helping others in their sorrows. Then Meditation become easy to practice. In short: When mind is clear and heart is pure then God is dear and near.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that was made.
In him was life, and that life was the light of all men.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

you can start with ANY kind of Meditation. ANY KIND. there is the counting of breaths. some exercises in progressive relaxation. but the best way to think of meditation, is that moment when you were doing Yoga, or any physical exercise, and then lay down on the floor to experience something very profound.
there is SOMETHING. within our bodies. within our bones. an energy or even intelligence of some kind, that you begin to KNOW. this is the core and basis of meditation.

Patanjali has given seven steps: Yam,Niyam,Asan,Pranayam, Dharna,Dhiyan (Meditation) and Samadhi. Meditaion is the sixth step. You have to progress and paractic slowly step by step to Dhiyan(Meditation). The conditions: Pure Heart and mind and Ego should be zero then and then you can practise Meditation successfully.

Meditation will influence your level of stress and will decrease it in many ways. In other words, it is a very good practice for managing your stress.

hi Tafadzwa Mandiringa. nice to see you. i'm passing an stage of my life that i don't know what i do. i don't find the meaning of my life, in this moment i don't have work and i have many thoughts daily and i feel very stressed. and i have read about meditation to to find myself. but i'm not sure how to practice it. you already know how. can you give me some tips to do it well?.

Arturo, thanks for your message! So glad you want to meditate. As a 1st timer I suggest finding a guided meditation on the Chopra website. This will give you an idea of how to do it. If this is not how you want to do it, you can start by setting aside 5mins to sit in silence & focus on your breath, follow it as it goes in and out, if your mind wanders as it usually does haha don't worry about it just go back to focusing on your breath. facebook me & we can chat more about it if you would like.

After creating abundance challenge I have been practicing meditation for some time now. few moments I felt being an observer disconnected from the surroundings. These were really silent moments & I found myself poised in world running frantically around me. My question is how is that it is my true experience and not something that I learned or read in some of your articles. Also, why this only comes through practice, why does the mind allow itself to be conditioned to material world problems?
    TY

the biggest question is sir , how did you come on this track which is seen as spirituality after passing form the finest scientific institution of India , AIIMS which every medicine learner dreams about ? I believe everyone would like to know your journey !!!(from aiims to Chopra Center for Wellbeing) .

Parthi Patel I happened to read your comment and in buddhism it says that "Vinchanaya" (I am not sure of the spellings) changes every moment.. Let's say person "A" was doing bad things all the time. So he was leading towards hell or those negative worlds let"s just say. Now he happened to hear Dharma and started doing meditations. Now his "vinchanaya" changes. Of course he will carry his karmas but he was not the same person anymore. So Lord Buddha said there's no "I" or "soul"..

  • @parthpatil6573
    @parthpatil6573 10 ปีที่แล้ว

sir , a question is wandering through my mind since i have watched your om=mc^2 video ... i have started to grasp some meanings in our teachings (do's and dont's ) passed onto us from generations ...you say that "every plank second you are created as a new ,you are not the same you were last second" , if that is true is our brain also formed new as a whole which after all is responsible for our limitations? why do diseases continue to exist in human body even when we are not aware of it ? does brain continues that disease , just because it doesn't like discontinuity? If consiousnes keeps us alive, what is role of subconsious? does medicine make any sense ?

Why is Deepak getting whiter?? I really hope it is not an intentional marketing ploy of some sort to make him more relatable to the white people. I hope not!!! He used to look very Indian, and had dark skin.
