- Welcome to my channel! In this exciting video, I want to share with you the incredible journey of transforming a neglected ghost house into my dream home right here in Taiwan. I'm Loo Don, and I'm thrilled to take you through the story of how I achieved my dream of owning a home in Taiwan.
Living in Taiwan has always been my dream, and I was determined to make it a reality. However, the reality of the expensive housing market here was a challenge I had to overcome. To achieve my goal, I decided to embark on a daring quest: to buy the cheapest house in Taiwan, a house that even the locals wouldn't consider.
This house had seen better days; some might even call it a ghost house due to its neglected state. From walls covered in mold to outdated infrastructure, it seemed like a daunting project. But I was up for the challenge.
The transformation journey began with countless hours of scrubbing and cleaning, erasing the traces of neglect that had accumulated over time. I rolled up my sleeves and repainted walls that were once plagued by mold. The house's transformation was marked by changing all the curtains and upgrading power outlets for safety.
Join me as I take you on a tour through the various floors of this house. From the fourth floor, where I transformed an open landing into a functional apartment with its own bathroom, to the fifth floor where I revamped the bathroom to suit my needs, every corner of this house has been thoughtfully reimagined.
And of course, the highlight of the video - my beautiful bedroom. This room was once just an open sunroof, and with determination and creativity, it now stands as a testament to the power of transformation. The red brick wall, a relic of the past, adds a touch of character that I couldn't part with.

有壁癌的地方外牆也要處理一下、做做防水喔，可能有漏水，不然沒多久又會再來一次
一般來說，老房子發霉很嚴重都是因為牆壁沒有做防水系統（water proofing layer)，你在頂樓放睡覺的房間，有一點替你更加擔心，如果之後颱風或是下大雨，你的頂樓排水系統（draining system)跟防水系統有沒有做好。這是台灣最大的問題。跟美國不同。

4 stories! 🤩 how much does a house cost in Taiwan?
Because I bought it in Kaohsiung, it is much cheaper than Taipei! Maybe only 1/5 of the price. And still much cheaper than in the USA!
實在很佩服美國人DIY的本事，不過工資很高的美國不想辦法自己修繕，口袋也要夠深才行。
以前有個美國喜劇是不是就叫做home improvement?我以前很愛看
Sean Wu 其實是因為美國人喜歡自己動手、倒𣎴完全因為人工貴（美國人的車庫那些工具傢私買起來就不少錢)、而是一種休閒放鬆。
人工貴可能是原因、也可能是結果…因為大家喜歡自己動手、做這行人就少 工資就變高。
滷蛋太強了，根本就是天才設計師，裝修後變得超級漂亮，有像美式的公寓！
等我要改造房子時，我好想請魯蛋來幫我設計，一定超級酷，可以先預約嗎？
其實，有兩種解說法：
1. 除了鬼以外，沒人想要住這裡 = 鬼屋

For building the walls I hired some help. But I did almost anything I could do myself!
Congrats! All that elbow grease will pay off eventually because real estate is one of the best investments in Taiwan. All the recurring expenses such as taxes and insurance are so low. Do show your house warming party.

我覺得購屋買透天是正確的，從上到下全都屬於自己的，包含土地，如果是公寓，各種妥協委屈都可能遇到，結果連土地都沒有。

我知道滷蛋你們可能剛起步、創業，但是，我蠻建議以後經濟情況更好，可以考慮ikea、hola或宜得利的傢俱，比較有美感🤔

其實，高雄市有很多老舊公寓，一層樓也許不用300萬🤔
台灣有些鄉下的老舊透天厝大概也不像都市的新社區那樣幾千萬那麼貴🤔
