Used to have a Moccamaster before I started with pour overs, and I had the type of filter holder with a manual setting on, and if you set that to half, you got a bit of immersion, and if you wanted to you could close it, agitate slightly and then open it for letting it draw down. Or you could set it to half to get a slower flow. Worked just fine. The switch for half / full, always on half because hotplates are bad. Then pour on a termos instead.
calling a standard coffee machine an "automated pour over" has me dying, it's so funny
Xbloom on his mind
Brian, you simple *HAVE* to do a review on all the drip/mokkamaster style brewers including the newer attempts to automate pour over.

Love that Cleon Peterson on the wall.
I just love the caffeine induced chaos of a Brian Quan & friends coffee video- So much going on everywhere all at once XD XD XD
The switch with half and full jug options changes the temperature of the hot plate 👍🏼
it changes the flow rate of the water. Previously, on the older model KBGV, it changed the temperature of the hot plate.
@@wayoutwest7 i learned something today!
If warranty is over, the first step should be to take out the hotplate. Easy 10min hack, makes the coffee quite a bit better
Is that gear onto ur table is affordable for the crypthoinvestors?
LOL can you link that table the coffee gear is on? On the look for a coffee station desk.
Best Pourover Machine.
