I’ve had lash extensions for 3 1/2 years every single month without missing a month at all and I never had an infection or an issue with having them on. I wash my lashes every single time I shower and every time I wash my face. I also only get a length 12 and natural volume. So most people think I have long pretty lashes. You can not tell they are false since they arnt super long or Over done. Every time i get a new set once a Month , I have the lash tech take a picture of my naked lashes and I love seeing how healthy and whole they still are. I only ever go to the same company that takes about 2 hours per session and it is $130 per session. I get what I pay for. I hope this helps.
@@lulupuff7295 I personally like to see my lashes fresh and clean every month. And to always make sure they are healthy. Plus since I don’t ever get refills I like to get a whole new set. Works out financially since I don’t do refills.
I discovered after using eyelash extensions that my own eyelashes got fragile and broke. Same thing happened to my friends. It took ages before they grew back. Literally 5 years for some of them. I used eyelash serum and that helped. That said , it’s convenient and it looks good though.

I am becoming more and more anxious about how much waste I create with beauty products. This just seems to add to that issue in that I will need an new cleanser for the eye and the plastic brush thingys. Then I think about all the waste the lash bar is creating and I just can’t do it. I don’t wear make up any more because of the waste and I have grown to dislike putting it on. I do have a skincare routine but feel guilty about it. I wish we weren’t judged so harshly when we don’t meet societal beauty standards.
if you’re worried about waste in skincare, I would check out the brands facetheory and good molecules! all of their packaging is recyclable and easy to reuse! I do zero waste, and you can find great products here that are way less wasteful than most brands.
also brands like Native and others that reduce their waste are now at Target. we can't be "zero waste" so try not to think of your buying habits in that way. I feel you, that these beauty trends are pretty wasteful in the long run (nails too). but hygiene is #1 for me. i make sure my brands are cruelty free and vegan, and I use them before I buy another one. I don't care if they are packaged in plastic tho. try not to feel guilty!
Don't feel guilty for using skincare, and don't feel pressured to look a certain way. You are you, and you are fine and lovely as you are. I know it's hard not to give in, but society is fickle and stupid as fuck. So why cause yourself more pain and stress just to meet some shallow standards that will switch up just as you start to get comfortable with the current trends? Also, on a sustainability note, have you tried menstural cups? I switched from disposable period products to a menstural cup, and I haven't looked back. It's safe and hygeniec, but the main reason I use my cup is because I produce sooo much less waste (and I can leave it in for 12 hours--whoop!). If you feel like you need to offset your beauty routine, try a menstural cup! Also, going vegan can have some positive environmental impacts, too. It sounds like you're doing a good job though, so thank you. More people need to be mindful of waste.

I got extensions a few times, but I don't have the patience, commitment, or fund$ to get them filled every 2 weeks. I've started using a growth serum and getting lash lifts/tints every two months and I am a huge fan
My lash extensions thank you Cassandra! They are very addictive. Now my positive pregnancy test is making me hope that you will do more safe in pregnancy skincare content! Love you 😘
On top of being expensive and requiring frequent refills, you also have to change your skincare? Blargh. I think they look nice sometimes, but I do not have it in me to put up with all this stuff.
As a lash technician, I always recommend to first remove any makeup around your eye gently with a q tip and some Garnier micellar water (pink), no cotton pads!, Avoid getting them wet at least the first 12 hours, and brush once or twice daily. You don't need to use a lot of makeup, that's the main benefit of wearing lash extensions. And for the love of all good things: don't put ANY mascara on them: if you do that you are really missing the point here. 💜
Thank you for this video. I have been considering getting eyelash extensions for a while now because I hate to put the falsies on they take me forever and I feel they look wonky. So this is good information to know❤
Literally just got eyelash extensions for the first time and was wondering this, so good to have this info and not just "don't pull at them and avoid oil" 😅
I don't know much about the subject, but I worked as a secretary for a relative who, at the time, had over 10 years of experience in eyelashes. She said that she had already used all kinds of glue and tested it, but she still says that it should NOT be washed on the same day that it is applied and that is exactly why, before putting on the eyelashes, she washes her customers' eyes But I don't work in that area, so I don't know
Goggles and spoolies. Goggles and spoolies!! Goggles if you want to use oil cleansers, shower after getting your lashes did. Spoolies for cleaning, combing, caring, loving on those lashes. I had lashes for like 7 years and only stopped when my allergies got bad and I needed to rub.
OOOO also I don't sleep on a real pillow anymore (my dog does) but I use 2 long half-moon pillows. One long and one short, and I can put them under my shoulder and ear so my face doesn't touch the pillow but I'm on my side/ stomach and reallyyyyy comfy, without my face smushed in the pillow.
Hii, I love watching your videos. I know you already did, but could you make a video about dry acne prone skincare, but for products in Europe. Because most poducts you recommend we don't have.
Hey Cassandra, i recently saw Instagram, you collaborat with Indian brand Be Minimalist, this is my one of the favourite brand except their sunscreens which doesn't suit me at all but as a Indian I'm so happy to see that. So excited for full detail video.
Maybe try a lash lift as a change when you’re done with this set of extensions. It’s like a perm for your actual lashes to make them look longer, separated more evenly, and curlier. Guidelines should be similar to extensions as you’re basically trying to avoid removing the perm similar to the glue.
Either baby or lash shampoo! FOR GOD’S SAKE NO MASCARA!!!!! No concentrated straight up oils around and on your eyes! Wash your lashes EVERYDAY! I’m a lash tech, and it irks me every time my clients be like : “Oh, I thought I’m not supposed to wash them at all”.. 🙈🙈🙈🙈 Speaking of the adhesives: the main ingredient of ALL THE GLUES is cyanoacrylate. And “sensitive” glue is a myth. It’s just that the concentration of that cyanoacrylate is lower thus less burning and irritation and it doesn’t hold extensions as long as the regular glue does. Oily skin type clients will have to get refills and wash their lashes even more properly because of their sebum building up more than if they had normal/dry skin. Also, if you are on your period AND have combo/oily skin, and you get them done right on your period - your lash extensions will fall much faster because of your skin being oilier. NO WATERPROOF MAKEUP AS WELL.
I do my own lash extensions and I use revitalash lash cleanser to clean mine! I might get mine done professionally in the future but I love doing my own!
For your health, please do not sleep on your back. This position over time has been linked to dementia and Alzheimer's disease progression and development. It does not allow for adequate blood flow and removal of clean up in the brain while you sleep. You can look this up and there are many articles about this topic. This is correct, apparently the lateral sleep position is the most effective position to clear brain waste. Brain waste includes certain proteins that negatively affect brain processes if they build up.
