Hey Gabi, thanks for another great video! My biggest hair smoothing issue is trying to get my thin, fine hair to look healthy and shiny WITHOUT getting weighed down and greasy...The struggle is real! (Hence why I love this channel!) 💙
My hair is naturally a lot like yours - fine and textured. When I get it done professionally it looks great (for a while) but when I try to smooth it out myself it looks flat and when I let it dry naturally - it’s just not a pretty sight. Which is really frustrating because 20+ years ago when I was your age, I literally once had someone come up to me after a presentation to tell me I had the “shiniest hair” she ever saw. Now I welcome opportunities to wear a hat LOL. I am 60 now and while I’m glad I’m not grey, I can’t remember the last time I had a good hair day. Thanks for all your great videos and info!!

Subscribed a while back! Thumbs up on all your vids. My biggest smoothing issue is I have long hair that is course due to my gray hair! It is naturally wavy but the courseness seems to be the biggest issue. Would love to try something that can smooth that out and protect it from any damage. Thank you for the great vids, especially for us older gals :)
My hair is so baby, fine and thin , and I'm always looking for products that don't weigh my hair down, which is so hard.. almost impossible, so. I appreciate you showing us this. I've spent so much money looking for the "right combo," and it gets expensive, especially when you're really hoping it works only to go to the next, and so on. I enjoy these tips too. Thanks as always Gabi.
I always had super straight hair until I started going gray. The texture now is wavy and dry looking. I blow it dry and it looks good for a minute and then the frizzies show up. Thanks for your informative videos.
My hair is fine/thin, and I have dry ends due to years of coloring. I love smoothing my hair, however I struggle with it because after a day, my hair looks limp. I tried so many products and the end result is always the same, limp and flat the next day.
I probably struggle the most with smoothing my hair w/o losing my volume! I have fine to medium hair, a fair amount of it, with a natural slight, curl wave. If I get it nice and smooth, I tend to lose volume and my hair lays too flat. 🤷🏼♀️ Love your tips and tricks and your channel!!🥰
Perfect timing! I’ve been under extreme stress the past 2 years and, according to Justin Hilcox, my dulling hair could be a symptom. What do you think? My mom passed away 2 weeks ago at 97 and was so beautiful. Over the past year my super shiny hair has completely dulled, so I will try all you said. I don’t color or perm, and rarely use steam curlers on my hair, so abuse isn’t the reason. Any other thoughts are super welcome!!!! I followed your channel Mel after watching you make over people my age. This hair video is exactly the “pick-me-up” I need at this point in my life.
Greetings Gabi, My hair issues are all of the above you struggle with. My biggest struggle is humitity. My husband, myself and our adult son with autism moved from down East to Lake Ontario to care for my sister who is palative. My parents are elderly and cannot anymore. My husband and I were helping my parents plan my sisters funeral and my husband passed December 15th just before Christmas. He was a young 56 yr old. I thought I had another 25 yrs at least with him. I loved him very much. Finding time to care for myself is often hard now. So I always look forward to seeing your videos for tips at home. I love watching your channel. I have ordered several products in the past you suggested. I have never heard of a steam straightener. I will look this up. Thank you for being so giving and caring. I feel very lonely ofton now so when I get a chance to catch up on your videos, I really appreciate it! Blessing and thank you for all you do. ❤😊
I have a couple of health issues. As a result I have lost a good amount of hair. Accompanied with a tonne of breakage. Which unfortunately creates little wiry, fly-aways all over my head. These products sound really promising. Thanks for finding and sharing them with the rest of us.
I struggle with keeping volume when straightening my hair. And humidity. I live in central Texas where there’s lots of humidity! May need to try those products u used! Thank u for sharing!
I straighten and smooth my hair every day I'd say my biggest issue is my damaged ends and humidity I would say sometimes it can be a little bit oily problem but not so often as the others would be a problem I'm excited to try all of these products
Hi Gabi, thank you for sharing so much useful info on your TH-cam channel. Love it! My hair is frizzy and curly. I’ve struggled with smoothing my hair without losing all the body. If I blowdry and there’s a bit of humidity in the air, it frizzes within minutes. If I straight iron it, it’s totally flat. If I leave it curly, no matter what product I use, it ends up frizzing. I’ve tried every product out there and nothing has helped 😭😭😭 the products you used in this video look amazing and I’d love to try them!
me too!! if you do hear of a product that keeps from frizzing the moment i open the front door..i live in fla..poof all the work of products put on hair using blow out brush..an almost hour worth of work gone
My hair is fine and rare on top of my hair but as I entered my 40s it became frizzy and with more volume, before it was very greasy. I still wash it every other day, when I was younger I needed to wash daily otherwise I looked like a grease bucked! Love your recommendations and your videos! Thank you for all your work and for sharing your knowledge with us!
My semi permanent color covers my grays, but when it comes time to dry my hair straight, they are so temperamental. Close to my scalp is the hardest to get completely dry and flatten those kinky hairs. Your tips are so good, thanks for sharing.
My hair is naturally curly. But also super fine and thin. I struggle with frizz if I leave it curly or try to straighten it. I did see one of your other videos where you talked about the double washing and I must say my hair feels so much better. I think once I add in your other steps my hair will start to cooperate. I can’t wait to try these products.
At 71, I am just learning how to let my hair be in it’s curly, frizzy & wild natural way. On day 2 or 3, I spray it with distilled water to activate the curls but the frizz increases as it dries. Would like a little more refinement to the curl. Sometimes I blow dry how u teach us but I lose my volume in day 2 or 3. I would love tips (or product!) I even tried the Dedmon brush technique u demonstrated, but way to labor intensive. So I press on for new ideas. We need beauty at every age with our hair:)
Thanks so much for the giveaway ❤ my biggest smoothing issue is that i have very long and thin hair which is very difficult for smoothing . I love to take care of my hair but after a day or two of smoothing my hair becomes limpy . I just need a great product for my hair
I love your videos! I have learned so much from you. I am now in my 60's and my hair is going crazy. It used to be board straight and now that I am graying, it has become wavy (but of course, not in a good way), dry (brittle) and unmanageable. The texture has changed, the thickness has changed and of course, it's less shiny. I am trying to incorporate your advice as I continue on my quest to age beautifully! Thanks so much.
I'm going to look into these. My hair is like yours dry and frizzy but easily weighed down with products. I'm trying to grow it out after some blond damage and find the ends just look abused. They need some TLC.
Hi Gaby, I live in Florida and I was just about to give up on my war on friz. Then I saw your video which gave me hope. I am older and am on a fixed budget so I will do my best to follow your 6 step process. Thank you
I have aging textured frizzy hair. Now that I’m almost 50 some of the hairs are turning grey it’s getting worse, I have pieces that have a mind of their own. They stick up or out or both. I would love to be able to tame them. I find that my hair looks duller now too.
I have fine, thin naturally wavy hair. I struggle the most with maintaining volume when smoothing my hair. Also once I have slept on my hair it’s very flat and limp on day two. Love your videos and advice 😊
I have watched your channel for a long time and am always learning so much from you! My hair is similar to yours - fine but with wavy texture. Plus now I am older and my hair is getting dry and no longer shiny like glass. I never used to need products but that is no longer the case. I need all the help I can get. 😊 Thanks for all you do for us!
After chemo my hair is thinner and fragile. When I blow dry, or let it dry naturally, it is a frizzy mess! Then I take a hot brush to smooth it and try to add some curl, but they don’t last. I had highlights put in at the front, and now there has been breakage. I try now not to put much heat to it. This video is very on point for me, Gabi. Can’t wait to try these products! 😊❤
My hair is so sad😢 I've tried many things and sadly nothing seems to work. I've heard of Korean products but have not used any. I would love to try! Thanks!!
Thank you for making this video. I’m a naturally curly haired girl and when I blow dry my hair, I struggle with maintaining my hair smooth and frizz free. As a teacher, I find it hard to make time to have a nice hairstyle so I try to learn from you on how to make my hair last smoother longer.
My issue with smoothing my thick, slightly prone to frizz hair, is not being able to find the right product(s) for the job! This video was helpful and I plan on checking out the products you mention in it, Gabi. Btw, just love your energy and approach to aging, being valued and looking the best we can at any age! ✨
I am experiencing problems with my hair, I’ve ever had! My hair is shedding and falling out! Also it’s is knotting and matting! Never had these problems before! I do love my Korean Skin care! Love to win these products! New subscriber, first time seeing your videos!
Hi Gabi, I struggle most with trying to get volume after using products before straightening. My hair has a natural wave, of sorts, but not in a good way if it dries naturally. It just has weird bends and frizz -- and VOLUME when I don't touch it -- but I'm typically always looking for the perfect de-frizzing and straightening products that will smooth and tame the frizz, yet not weigh my hair down and lose the volume. In a perfect world, I'd have my pre-style volume and post-style smoothness, because I want smooth, straight hair AND volume! I want it all!
I am wondering if this product line would do anything for very dry scalp. To quote my doctor 'I'm dry from one end of me to the other and even my ears are dry!' haha Would you have any suggestions on what portions of this line I should try? I really need to find something new. Thank you.
Question - if I have a wavy, dry har that I color every 4-6 weeks, should I choose a shampoo and conditioner for dry hair, for colored hair, or for curly hair?
Wow Gabi, your hair is simply gorgeous 😍. I love steam straighteners, at the salon my stylist use the Loreal Steampod and at home I use the BabyBliss Steam Pure straightner. I have an issue with using a blowdryer brush, I struggle to get my roots smooth and straight.😊
My hair is very similar to yours. It's just about all gray now, extremely dry with no shine whatsoever...very dull, extremely frizzy, medium to high density. What I struggle with most is frizziness, dryness, and lack of shine. You're amazing. Thank you for your hard work, which results in great content. ❤
I have super fine hair in diameter yet I have a lot of it. My roots get oily within a day of washing but my ends dry out fast. I love to smooth out my hair, however I have to use heat often since I shampoo often.
Oh yes. I abused my hair for years and years and years too. Four years ago when I started this channel my hair was HIDEOUS. If you look at old videos you can see how completely ruined it was. If you haven't tried the Perfect Hair Fill Up (the first treatment product in this video), try it! It's incredible.
I struggle with thin hair which is new to me, I’ve always had long spiral permed hair. Now, not so as I age, and all the years from perms and coloring. I have struggled with it being so thin and drying out on the ends which turn frizzy. This woman’s glory was her hair but not now. I don’t know what to do with it. Tape in extension was the answer for thickness but tape really was extra hard on my hair which was already in a poor breakable state. Thank you for this chance at a give away.
My hair is extremely thick, coarse and fizzes easily in humid weather. Going thru menopause and constantly sweating is a challenge too. Love your channel so much. ❤
Hi Gabi! My hair is straight and fine, so keeping volume is a REAL struggle! Also, once it's straight, humidity makes every natural cowlick want to override everything I've just done to style it. Which means more products and hairspray must be used than I would ultimately wish for. UUUGGHH!!!!
I have a hard time growing my hair due to breakage from trying to straighten it. Even after straightening it still becomes frizzy. I’m going to try these products. Thanks Gabi for the great info!
Hi Gabi😊 I love watching your videos. You really care about your viewers. My biggest problem with smooth hair is that it seems very flat when it’s finished.
I ordered the Ladore product you used in this video but haven't used it yet. My biggest problems are humidity and baby hairs in my part on top of my head. Since my hair tends to be oily, I have to watch what I put on the roots so I usually just spray a small amount of hairspray in my hands, rub them together and then try to smooth down the top of my hair. The hairspray works... for a little while any way. Thanks for all your tips and tricks!!
My hair is long, highlighted, fine and naturally wavy. My hair and scalp are dry. I usually wash about once a week. My scalp doesn't mind it but my ends need more conditioning and oil throughout the week. I fight the humidity when I wear my hair smooth. But I also fight static in the dry winter months! I love a good, smooth hair day! ❤
Hi Gabi, thank you for sharing this video, your hair looks amazing! My hair is fine and frizzy and thinning on the top, it breaks quite easily especially with too much heat styling resulting in little fly-away hairs at the front that are not easily tamed. My hair for sure poofs on a cold and misty day. 😊
These products look fabulous! I definitely have a hard time keeping my hair straight and shiny for a couple of days. I feel like on day two after washing, my hair already looks awful. Thanks for sharing these tips!
My hair is fine and thin, but I’ve been growing it out for 8 months with 7 week trims. I’ve watched so many of your videos, tried products and even bought a blow out brush dryer. I WANT my hair like Yours Gabi !!! 💞
Hi Gabi. My biggest hair smoothing problem is that my hair gets fuzzy right after I style it. My hair is fine, color treated and wavy/ curly. I recented experienced some breakage and hair loss. Which contributes to the problem. I'm so grateful for all your tips and tricks, which made a real difference! I would love to try these products. Especially while I grow out my hair. Thanks so much. 🙂
Hi Gabi! I have silver hair and texture that gets frizzy. I’d love to try these products and help my hair look like it has a style and not like it’s unkempt. Thanks!
Hi, Gabi ! Thank you so much for this video ! Shiny hair is such a struggle for me, because my hair is long and wavy, but not wavy in the right places. I try to straighten it to look like your final result in this video, but that is labour intensive as I struggle with random PNES [seizures]. I enjoy your cosmetic videos because you not only explain how to do things, but you also explain WHY. That is super important to me, because then it really means something to me. Please keep up your hard and passionate work. You give us all inspiration to be beautiful ❣️
Your hair looks gorgeous! I struggle most with keeping my hair smooth. Always looks good after blow drying and apart from getting oily quick the frizz buggs me most!
My hair is thick, when I let it dry on its own it looks frizzy, I need to add something to my hair, which I get high lights but when I do a blow dry it still feels dull, not shiny, that would be awesome, by the way your hair is fabulous!!!!
I have curly, frizzy hair. I struggle keeping the frizzies away, even with using humidity shielding type products. When I straighten it, it starts to look/feel greasy by day three and I've not found a dry shampoo that doesn't make my hair feel gross after a day or so. I appreciate your videos and have learned a lot.
My biggest problem is frizzing with my Gray/ White Hair! Hair seems to be dry & course now that I don't color my hair any more. Would Love to have Silky Gray/White Hair!!
Hi Gabi - I have thick hair but thin once it's blow dried. I do use tons of conditioner when washing it because it is Super dry & tends to tangle, especially when I'm blow drying, most of the products I use work for a day & that's it, Once I get my hair to look the way I want to, by the end of the Day it is flat & sometimes frizzy. I get so frustrated that for the next few days it's back in a ponytail! I Love your videos & Love all the tips you give especially for maturing skin. I've learned so much watching your videos 🥰 I've been hearing alot of good things about Korean products & can't wait to try this on my own hair💕 Love Ya
Im glad I found your channel. I have extremely thick, coarse wavy hair and I straighten it with a flat iron everyday. I can’t find a product that really makes it shiny.
Yes frizz is a big issue! Remember to treat, prep, style, finish! It's the key to getting your hair absolutely perfect and to make it last for multiple days.
Love love love ur channel!!❤❤ specifically the hair tips and info. I have dry frizzy textured hair similar to yours just longer and a bit thicker. Frizz control is something I have always struggled with. Excited to try t these products. Thanks for the suggestion!
I love how your hair looks. Every issue you mentioned I have either because of continuous hair color and my wavy hair. . The fly always, the next day flat hair, the moisture in the air causing frizziness. I never heard of the steam straightener. I would assume it would cause more frizziness. Thank you doe your new ideas.
When it’s humid out my hair puffs up immediately when I step outside and starts curling back up. Unless I get a professional blowout, my hair rarely lasts more than a day or two.
Your hair looks beautifuI! I have baby fine, thin hair. I cut it into a layered bob thinking it would look thicker, but the ends still look so thin. Every thermal protection I have used makes my hair look thinner and Leave in conditioners weighs my hair down, even when I barely put any on. I also have a lot of broken flyaway hairs. I have never in my life liked my hair. I used to pray for nice easy hair!
I struggle the most with dry frizzy hair. My hair is similar to yours wavy/frizzy. If I get it pretty smooth and the weather gets damp or humid, all bets are off
I struggle with frizz too. And dryness and also my hair kind of disappearing more and more (hair loss). Your shiny hair looks so healthy!😍 I had to laugh when you said people have to put on their sun glasses because of the shiny hair he he😁🤣
For a really great shine prior to using products, I always rinse my hair in really cold water. This works every time. My struggle is that I haven’t found the right products yet to give my hair that sleekness. I am still experimenting (have been for years:), so I am going to check out some of the products you’ve mentioned in this video. Thanks!! ❤
My hair is thick, long, naturally curly and frizzy. Humidity is not my friend but brings out more curl. When I straighten it, it will get more frizzy in humidity and start to curl in various places. If I’m near the ocean, even if I don’t straighten my hair, being outdoors destroys the style. Your hair always looks like perfection.
Hi Gabi, I have frizzy hair and live in South Florida so the frizz struggle is real. My hair looks dull and not shiny most of the time. I always admire how shiny your hair looks.
Hi Gabi! I love watching your videos because they are so relatable and informative. A few months ago, I got my hair colored and I am now dealing with a serious chemical burn to my hair. It is very dry, brittle and frizzy. I'm trying all kinds of products and really trying to lay off the heat tools - but its HARD! I'm worried now with summer coming and the sun and pool, that I will only prolong this damaged hair if I don't work hard at protecting it going forward. So right now, my biggest hair smoothing issue is trying to balance protecting my hair while still using hot tools to smooth it :(
So excited to try this product. I struggle with working with a round brush to control frizz. The hair just doesn't want to move in my round brush when I try to blow dry it. Thanks Gabi :)
This is the first I've heard of these products - thank you and would love to try out!! My hair tends to be porous and "swell" even after blow drying and smoothing.
Thanks for this video- just in time!! It’s humidity time & my hair gets out of control. I’m tired of products that don’t really work. These sound amazing
My first issue is the weather: I live in North Queensland in Australia where it rains almost every day. The weather is always humid. 2nd: I struggle a bit to get the angle and technique right when blowing out my hair. Partly because my hair dryer is so long and heavy. I am considering upgrading to a Dyson but they are pricey. I’m wondering if a blow out round brush 2in1 thing might be a easier option. 3rd: After straightening, my hair looks good but never as shiny and smooth as my hairdresser gets it. I try to lock in the smoothness with some oil and anti frizz hair spray. I’m always disappointed that shortly after my hair frizzes up once I step outside. I don’t own a steam straightener. Maybe that’s where I’m going wrong? I have a lot of hair but it is fine and slightly wavy textured. I used to hair super long hair but recently had it cut into a lob. It feels so much healthier. I’ve been using a hydrating hair mask every time I wash instead of an ordinary conditioner. That’s also helped.
Love your videos! New subscriber as of this moment! This video was immensely helpful, and I am excited to try the products you mentioned. I struggle the most with knowing what products to use on my hair and when, and also with the technique of drying so that the cuticles lay flat... I find I get partway there, but never that glassy surface you're giving us today! For details, my hair has become naturally a little wavy over the years... mostly type 2b. Normally I never comb or brush it (or it gets floofy!) and rarely have to wash it more than a few times a month. I wonder if that leave in conditioner would be heavy, but I feel the moisture will be good and nourishing... I'm looking forward to experimenting!
I have thin hair that naturally dries wavy and frizzy and live in the South so humidity isn’t my friend, I need this stuff! I did purchase a satin pillow case and it does really work. ❤
Thanks so much for the step you take to make your hair look good. Have been looking for some products you mentioned. My hair gets frizzy so fast with any humidity and I have a lot of flyaways. I am in my early 60's and want to keep my hair looking healthy and great! Will definitely look at these products.
I have thin, fine BUT a lot of hair. Anything I use makes my hair looks greasy and limp by the next morning. If it’s humid outside, then my hair turns into a frizz ball. Love your channel Gabi! Your my first to check in with every evening.
My hair used to be super thick and slightly wavy. Now, it is thin dlightly wavy and color treated. A lot of the products that I have tried make my hair look greasy and waited down. I occasionally use hair spray, but I find most to be watered down. It seems to make my hair look wet. Any suggestions?
My hair is fine, curly and goes frizzy with humidity. I'm almost all grey now, 2 hard years and am so glad I watched your Video with your hair products and why to rather use a Steam Iron. Makes perfect sense 🌟
Hey Gabi, thanks for another great video! My biggest hair smoothing issue is trying to get my thin, fine hair to look healthy and shiny WITHOUT getting weighed down and greasy...The struggle is real! (Hence why I love this channel!) 💙

Oh gosh..so many channels are having this issue. Ty for pointing it out..I was almost scammed on an unrelated channel.

Me too. The only success is having a professional blowout to get the smooth volume at the top. Ugh. :(
Oh my gosh, I just wrote the exact same thing and then I read your comment and thought it was me!
@@rebeccastoeffler6623 ha!!!!! The struggle is real!!!!
I find medium large velcro rollers give the perfect smoothness but doesn't wipe out the volume like using a brush
@@christineanne7834 I have tried that but then I get these weird "dents" in my hair. :(

You look lovely as always. For me it's a matter of keeping some volume. What volumizing products would you use with these other products?
My hair is so sad😢
I've tried many things and sadly nothing seems to work.
My issue is humidity- no matter how much I dry and straighten my hair, it winds up frizzy. Can’t wait to try these products- thanks so much!💕
I am experiencing problems with my hair, I’ve ever had!
My hair is exactly like yours! It's fine texture & any moisture insteadly fizzles up. Your videos are big help.
Hi again, love your videos…so informative. I have trouble with frizzy hair that needs some help repairing years of abuse.
My biggest challenge about healthy hair has been thyroid disease!
Oh so dry and fragile.
xx thank you for spotlighting these products, Gabi!
Ever since I saw your most recent video on La'dor products I started using them and I'm Obsessed now. Thank you for the introduction to their line.
I have fine hair and live in southeast Texas so humidity is a beast. I never knew how to get a smooth finish until I started watching your channel.
I’m 56 yrs old & the day after washing my hair it appears lifeless. Looked weighed down. Thank you!!!!
I smooth my hair lots and struggle with humidity “puffing” it up. Your hair looks amazing and excited to order the products your recommending.
Thanks, Gabi! I have hair texture similar to yours. Keeping the frizz down here in humid Tennessee is my challenge.
I struggle getting the back of my hair smooth! ❤thank you Gabi ❤
When it’s humid out my hair puffs up immediately when I step outside and starts curling back up. Unless I get a professional blowout, my hair rarely lasts more than a day or two.
Frizzy girl here! I struggle with breakage when straightening out my mainly front pieces as they are highlighted. Love the channel!!!!
If I get it pretty smooth and the weather gets damp or humid, all bets are off
The hardest part is keeping it smooth in FL humidity! The Lador products sound awesome! Never heard of them before. Thanks for sharing! ❤
I struggle with frizz too. And dryness and also my hair kind of disappearing more and more (hair loss). Your shiny hair looks so healthy!😍 I had to laugh when you said people have to put on their sun glasses because of the shiny hair he he😁🤣
I have a difficult time keeping my little flyaways smooth. Liked learning about the steam straightener. Very informative video. Thanks!
My hair is like yours when it air dries. Frizzy and horrible. Except it’s thick. I super duper need help with with my mop! 🤪 Love your channel Gabi ❤😘
I have fine hair that is prone to damage and tangles. Particularly at the nape. Ugh if I do get it smooth it sometimes just looks limp. 😮
Thanks for the tips. As a retired woman my hair gets frizzy and dry. This product looks like it would help.❤
For a really great shine prior to using products, I always rinse my hair in really cold water. This works every time. My struggle is that I haven’t found the right products yet to give my hair that sleekness. I am still experimenting (have been for years:), so I am going to check out some of the products you’ve mentioned in this video. Thanks!! ❤
LOVE your knowledge of hair and products .
Keeping us informed and also showing us how to use them .
Thank you for helping me feel beautiful .
You are so welcome!
I have very fine frizzy hair get tangled easily leading to hair loss 🥹🥲 I learned a lot from you❤
Hi Gabi, I have frizzy hair and live in South Florida so the frizz struggle is real.
Love this! I have thick and slightly wavy hair and I find it hard to smooth. I would love to have straight hair. These products look amazing.
Since buying my bondi boost blow brush it has been a game changer for my dry frizzy hair. I actually like my hair now😊
I haven't heard of that brand! A blowout brush is literally life changing. It really is the best hot tool ever.
Thanks for this video- just in time!! It’s humidity time & my hair gets out of control. I’m tired of products that don’t really work. These sound amazing
Gabi, I find dark hair if done correctly has more of a shine. I have highlighted hair. To have shining hair would be a bonus. ❤
Have not hair 😂
The ends of my hair are frizzy.. that keeps my hair from looking smooth.. I’m excited to try these products 😊
OOooh, I really like this video! Very clear communication of the ideas. Thanks!
