Yo it was a loud pop, I was there getting rehab and it sounded like a gunshot went off in the room where all the physical therapist then stopped what they were doing to help.

The worse part is was that he was so close to being done with his other injuries and he was going to a top tier rehab place like Architect Sports is where players like Stephon Gilmore had his rehab and then he gets hurt again after putting his body weight on the back of his foot causing the Achilles tear.

This is sad but to callest the saddest in sports is a extreme, ridiculous over-exaggeration. He’s still alive.
The good thing is he got paid really well before he got hurt. He made about 14 million in 4 years so he should be fine no matter what. Great guy.
As a Bears fan, a former player, and just a man whose going thru his own level of back to back hardships, I feel for the man. I'm hopeful he bounces back however he's able and its a huge success in whatever he chooses. Definitely a good guy here.

I'm a niners fan and I remember watching that incredible punt he returned for a TD and not even being mad because of how amazing it was. I had no idea his backstory was this tragic. Praying for this man to make a full recovery and be successful in the future, he deserves it

As a bears fan it's truly heartbreaking watching this video and his careers downfall, the fact that in the past 3 years tarik cohen has gotten injured for 2 seasons, had his brother die, and then this, my prayers out to him

I’m a bears fan and when I heard he was released it made me kinda mad at the organization. He was good when he was healthy. This makes me sad because I was praying that he would be successful somewhere else.

Exactly like klay. ACL injury was in game and the Achilles in an non team practice injury.
His story and life off the field is a tough one, when the people you love the most and want to be a part of your life refuse to listen to you. When all the sacrifices you make are to help give them a better life and you just can’t get through to them. One thing is for sure he’ll get back on the field over coming some injuries is nothing compared to everything else he’s been through. Prayers for him

Tarik has been thru several lifetimes worth of suffering but he's still here, he's still standing. He could've lost his head and grabbed a gun and gone after bros killers, ended up in prison. But he didn't. and I don't care what he does for work in the future (I'm praying that he gets signed and enjoys playing football), whether he becomes a teacher, a doctor, a scientist, or a McDonald's worker; as long as he can find some kind of closure, some kind of happiness, that is all I care about. I hope he continues to stay strong and how he has handled all these tragic events is an inspiration to me. He is a real man. God bless you Tarik. If there's anyone in my thoughts atm who the universe owes, it is this man.

Prayers to Tarik Cohen, he is my favorite football player because he was on the Chicago bears and he showed that you can make it to the NFL no matter your size at 5'6, that's special to me because I play football as WR for my highschool and I'm only 5'1 so seeing somebody close to my size make it is really special to me and I send prayers to him and his family.

The fact that this man is still standing and still playing in the League speaks volume. These people calling him weak know nothing of how hard this man's life has been. He has suffered injuries, setbacks, and heartbreak. God help this man an give him the strength to overcome.
Injury just sucks. I am at early 30 injured a lot playing just recreational sports last few years and it even hurts me not be able to play. For the professional athletes it’s their bread and butter. I cannot even imagine the pain!
Football players are pushing their bodies too far. So many non contact injuries. Tendons, ligaments, muscles are over worked. 🙏for a speedy recovery for Cohen.

@@robdude4250 not much nowadays but I know we still locked in 💯. We went to the 3rd round of state playoffs in 2011 but they cheated us when they called off our quarterback game winning 2 point conversation that would have put us up 48-47 but the referee called it off so we lost 47-46.

No teenager should ever feel like he has to be that provider and father figure for his younger siblings. Kids aren't wired to handle that amount of pressure. He's shouldering something that should never have been put on him.
