I coldn't tell the difference between the 3 and the IV. I have a metal Ambika 3 and I like its ligature very much because of easy to install reed. If I get a Ambika IV, I would select a hard lubber version instead of a metal as a curiosity of HR sound.
Sorry I cannot tell the differences between the 3 and 4. Besides the price, I’ll keep my 3. I tried different locations for the ligature screw, but I settled down to the middle location as its original setup. I noticed you set up the ligature screw at the nearest to mouthpiece tip. I wonder what made you to select that location.
Hi. Thanks. I also like middle location the best, but not every reed seals with it. Setting it at the nearest location helps all reeds to seal better with a little compromise for the sound.
I playing in ambika3... I also have Brahma, Brahma is so responsive and more brighter than ambika... I still like more ambika... because sound so soft and smooth... ambika4 didn't try yet... in your video I like more ambika4... thanks for video...
@@pavelkuts6239 I like them both for different reasons. Both are great. 4 has very characteristic low nasal sound if you want that go for it. I think i like that.

For me there was big difference between those two. but after recording the differences are quite minimal between equipment.
@@Learning2Sax I am guessing that the difference may be due to what hear through inner ear by the vibration of MP.

ambika 3 for me 😊
I like them both. But Ambika 3 stayed with me :)
Have you tried the HR version of the Ambika 3 ? Do they sound the same ? Is it just the mouthfeel that's different?
