Would like to see you review the Theo Wanne Ambika and Lakshmi model mouthpieces for both Alto and Tenor. Those are probably the two darkest mouthpieces that Theo Wanne offers now :)
First of all: you make both mouthpieces sounds great ;-) That being said, I prefer the sound of the Gaia 4. Just a bit warmer and broader then the SR Techno. Keep this content coming!

How dark do you want it? You sound great! The sound does remind me a little of Dexter Gordon. Both mouthpieces give you that big classic sound. Great demo. If I had the money, I'd buy the theo wanne piece right now, and it is much darker, and warmer than the fusion.
The Gaia 4 has such a nice huge fat tone! It has a big tone yet it still retains that nice core sound! Sounds way better than the SR Tech. I own this mouthpiece and it’s extremely versatile! If you want to darken your tone, then just use a different reed that will give you that.
@@LeszekN I also have an SR TECH Pro 115 I’m about to put up for sale. I’ve owned a SR Tech Legend before as well. The Gaia 3 and Gaia 4 blows it away. I don’t know if it’s the facing curve or what, but SR tech doesn’t do it for me.
Great playing ! I am playing Gaia #7 on alto, best mouthpiece ever, I paired it with Legere Classic #2 which gives me darker smoother sound. Now Im about to try some Theo Wanne mouthpieces for tenor, I didnt play tenor sax so far. Im thinking to try Durga, Gaia, Ambika, Lakshmi. Do you suggest same opening Theo Wanne for tenor if I liked #7 on alto and which reeds do you suggest for Theo Wanne Gaia tenor mouthpiece? Thank you! Greetings from Croatia 😊
I think you have a dark tone on the Gaia 4. I think you have the best demo of it I have seen. I think you sound darker on the Gaia than on the hard rubber piece you demoed. The HR piece sounds more spread and maybe that is what you are hearing. I also agree that you sound better on the Gaia than on the SR. Thanks for the great demo!
It's VERY odd TW would market this mouthpiece as having a " dark core sosund"... as it's not the sound quality most people are buying this mouthpiece for.....the opposite. Usually for people who want to play rock music or need to cut through the other instruments in the band, need to prject.....i like it....has raspy tone, bringht...what I think a sax sound should like or is what i prefer a sax to so und like...why i like SBA sounding sax's e.g. Selmer Ref 36 Selmer SBA, Conn.. 10,....To each his own...heh..

I feel like the GAIA 4 is more in the area of a traditional Guardala or Crescent. I bet Michael Brecker would have liked one of these.

Both sound great, one is alot cheaper than the other, it's down to what's your flavour.

What different between gaia 3 and gaia4??
The 4 is little more focused, slightly more resistance, and slightly brighter / more projecting.
