Sometimes I just click yes when I'm asked to respond, but I do remember that you can banish (face-down) with Arise-Heart your own cards. Unless you want all your cards banished face-up by Evenly Matched, don't remove your opponent's card from the field.

Evenly matched forces the opponent to banish cards until the number of cards is the same as the activator's. The activator only controlled Evenly Matched and when it was banished, the opponent is forced to banish everything since the activator doesn't control a single card.
